For the half detonator, it’s from the clone wars. They have half detonators to attach to surfaces, an example is in the umbara arc when the clones fight the “umbaren robo snake”

From Geonosis Siege in the Reactor room with Barris and Ashoka they got those half detonators which worked as bombs which explode by remote or in citadel episodes they blew up the corridor with those half detonators.

Great unboxing guys! I did some research on the half thermal detonator and it appears to be a "magnetic thermal detonator" and it used in some episodes of Clone Wars and the Bad Batch
So COOL - glad I watched - I have heard a TON about "Hot Toys" but have literally never seen an un-boxing. So really thankful that you guys did this. Keep up the great content.

In the clone wars the half detonators are used to stick on stuff. So for example it gets stuck to a wall or the floor. Not for the figures to hold but my guess is just to give people the sticky detonator in case they want to display it a certain way.

the half detonators are the ones they attach to flat surfaces, like remote charges
remember these are the first HT clones, the old clones were made by SS primarily, hence the crappy bodies.
The half detonator is for placing on surfaces like walls or floors

Hi, rexin_aroud. Love your show! Just FYI, sideshow and hot toys are two different companies. Cody was the first Hot Toys Clone Trooper made. The old sideshow clones had som input from hot toys especially on the blasters. But those were mainly made by sideshow.

Short version of my comment they are remote controlled bombs.
The half detonators are those ones that they put on the floor or walls
I really do hope that they remodel all the other clone commanders and other grunts like the Airborne troops with this same mold
The half detonator resembles the sticky detonator it’s strange it doesn’t stick to magnets
In terms of electronics in the arms/hands, I would rather pay $20 less and not have them included because I never ever use them lol

Do you guys have Mafex or import 1/12 scale figs? I love how the imports give the extra hands and accessories and extra attention to details.
The original clone figures were not hot toys. They were made exclusively by sideshow. This is the first time other than Cody that hot toys has made a clone figure.
Unless they were and it was a whole conspiracy we never knew about

That grevious is gonna be such a let down unfortunately. Sideshow cheaped out so hard on grevious. People have gotten bases with the 2014 stamp on the bottom 🤣
I wasn’t as harsh as others might have been. I really like the figure but I definitely have a couple gripes. Hope I don’t get roasted for my excitement when I open it lol. I justify some of the issues

For the price, I’m more than okay with it. Definitely frustrating in a couple places but for the size, accessories, and posability, I’m okay with him. I try to find the good in these figures because even the fact that we’re getting them still feels insane.
