MyTubeIsBetter20 Me too, so i hope it gets better because i'm so used to doing it
Same
Same
SAME
MyTubeIsBetter20 lol same I still do it rn
I realized that i did this basically since I was born and I’m still at a young age and we have to run the mile every single Monday during school for the past 2 years now and continuing still. The issue with my habit is that when I run it causes more pain in other parts of my body and the teachers don’t know that nor will they care. This makes it extra hard and stressful to run every week more then it would be for any other kid my age
“You need to cut it out” tf???? lmao
I have idiopathic toe walking and when I stop u can do horse back riding (my mom and I made a deal) I'm SOOO excited!!!!
I'm trying just so you can see this from 5 years ago lmao
Wow, I didn’t know so many people had this problem. I though it was just some weird thing only I did. The one thing I have problem doing is standing up and having both my feet on the floor at the same time. I’m so annoyed that my younger self decided to walk on my tippy toes.😒😒😞
Madison Wright same idk that ethier
in a wheelchair because of it☹️ don’t walk on ur tippy toes people!!
@@holycrappycats wait wat really
yep, thankfully I’m out of it now though !!
Im 13 and for as long as I can remember i walked on my toes. I did it ever since I was a baby. Now it's hard for me to walk flat footted. Walking flat puts you off balance so much compared to on your toes. Am I going to get problems in the future. :(
MysticMagic369 :3 I'm 14 and same
MysticMagic369 :3 I’m 12 and kids at my school make fun of me because I walk on my toes and I try really hard I to walk flat footed but is so hard and hurts so my parents took my to a doctor and he said I could either go to a surgeon and get surgery to walk flat footed or start stretching or get booted that help you walk flatfooted so my parents and I decided that I would start stretching and lately I’ve been walking less on my toes
i feel you. almost 15 and I’ve been told I do that and now I’m self conscious as heck
Tay Lps dude ur supposed to walk on ur toes fuck this video and dont trust doctors
bubby b no you’re not
My son walks with his toes! And I thought he was the only one.. this video helps:)

11th August 2012 :) hehe
As a former athlete walking heel toe is crazy to me
I've been walking like this for the past 5-10 years now. I'm supposed to exercise and wear a certain boot when i sleep but for some reason it doesn't work for me. If anyone has any suggestions or tips please leave them below. I may have to get surgery soon on my feet.
I walk on my toes too :( picked on my whole like and at the age 29 people still making fun of me
And do you have back problems or any pains. I am asking because i was told to go to therapy and went for a year but i stopped going for half a year now, the thing is mine isin't severe at all, you really have to focuse in order to notice i walk on my toes. And i am thinking of not going to therapy ever again because it seems like i don't need it.
Thank you for having a video that talks about this as an issue adults could have instead of something that needs fixed in other people. It drives me crazy looking for help on stuff like this only to see “have your child-“ everywhere.
Thanks for information. ❤❤
Thank you so much for this video I recently broke my hip and ankle and I’ve been walking on my toes as a habit
Please be careful with this exercise. Overemphasizing the use of the heel can carry over into running form and cause excessive heel strike during running. The resulting injury from heel strike is the formation of shin splints and eventually medial tibial stress fractures. People who walk on their toes often have short, quick strides and underdeveloped gluteal muscles. Often lengthening the stride with deliberate use of the glutes (and eventual glute strengthening) will correct walking on the toes.
Emphasizing heel strike may correct whats happening at the foot but ultimately do nothing for short gaits and under developed support muscles of the legs and arms that impact walking form.
That's interesting information. I'm not sure if you're a foot specialist, but maybe you could help me. I'm having tight tendon problems, its swollen (cracking it all the time) on my right foot because of trying to correct my bouncing and walking on toes due to me being naturally a shy but peppy person and think thats why it became a problem for me overtime. I have really short legs too from being 5'2 and my feet are long and wide with a high arch. I tried high arch support insoles but it makes my walking stiff and stepping harder on the ground causing it harder to walk properly. People tend to stare and can't seem to correct it right. I always walked with a bounce and now that I'm 35, it seems like I've been worn out from it. Why is it as you age, your feet get worse? I've done a lot of walking and biking on a daily basis and it seems when I rest my body, I feel more energized, but thats only on the weekends from working. When its a hot summers day, the humidity gets to me more and I'm even worst with walking and biking. I went to the doctor about this problem and all she gave me was stretches to do and to buy arch support insoles and that's not working. It's swollen and I have an ice pack on it right now. Massaging it helped earlier, but now its back to being stiff again with some pain. Its just my right foot too. My left is great. I know I had pulled out my lower back a lot of times in the past and my tail bone always on my right side, so I think that was also part of the foot issue. I had also been thrown off my bike once 4 years back causing both my knees to swell (and heal in a month) and I never had a tight tendon issue before until after that incident it seems. I'm not sure how it happened. Maybe it was from trying to correct my gait over time, or maybe it was all the injuries I had and it threw off my hip.
Exactly if you don’t feel your glutes contracting as your pushing off the toes it’s pointless.
Can i get a reply please i need some important information regarding this please@@shan4883
I walk on toes, when other people saw me they told me why you are jumping while walking and this is problem for me , it looks very bad and other people make fun of me
Please make another detailed video on this topic, if you know something about it
is it natural to ground the heel first? when i use my barefoot walking, my feet don’t like to ground the heel first?
Nice tips!!!👍Beautifully explained!!!🌿
Thanks hopefully this will help for me:)
i like it thanks
Thank you so much for this walking exercises, I found out that I loose balance when I walk and swayed side to side and I also get cramps on my leg, so if I may ask, incase I practice this daily will I gain balance when I walk and also will I have a much more smother walking? Bcuz I walk alot and I'm beginning to find it hard to walk now, due to the problems listed above, thank u for listening.
Will be expecting your reply,😊 any tips or exercises to do would help alot...
Bye.
Hello can i get a reply please i need to know something
great.
Perfect explanation.. everyone else complicates it lol
And I was told walking on the toes makes you taller. -_-
I walk on my heels but run on my toes
idk if this is helpful or not but i also walk on my toes and its not a habit my therapist told me its ballerina syndrome i believe(?) but i searched it and not many results came up anyways my parents and I had the options to either do physiotherapy,,, hope i spelled that right, or get surgery and we asked my therapist what would be the best option and she told us that she had other patients with the same problem that did surgery and it only made things worse,,, i dont really know how but if anyone is struggling and doesn’t know what to do please ask a professional and im no doctor or smnth so i dont know if surgeries work on some people and on some dont
I have the walking in toes problem and I don't know what it's from but mine personally could be a slight sign of autism. Maybe.....
Also I truly believe that you should not get a surgery if it's not for something life-threatening.
I just realized something...one of my friends has cancer, the other toe walks, two of them has autism, one has anger issues, and I have ptsd.
One of my legs is shorter than the other, making me walk on my toes but this video doesn't help me :/
Same here, did you find any effective video for the topic? If yes, then share the link please...Thanks in advance
Shrek Xoxo same
Any of you pls answer. Do you limp when you walk and how do you know if you leg is shorter than the other? I limp when i walk or run and I'm not sure if my leg is shorter than the other. I'm trying to find out why this happens to me
same here!! I wonder the same and I'm 35 now and I always walked with a bounce and a limp on my right side. But I think it was due to lower back injuries over time and tail bone injuries on my right side causing my hip to be thrown off a little. I also have a tight tendon issue with my right foot that had swelled up in the last 5 months now and I'm much stiffer when walking and it has thrown off my usual gait and I'm limping more on my right side. I always wondered if I have a shorter leg than the other too though since I do have short legs as a 5'2 woman.
It's not ignorance. It's common sense.
I’ve had the surgery and I was walking normally but I didn’t wear the braces worst mistake ever I still walk on my toes but not as bad I’m trying lots of streaching of the calf’s and shit
simple but often ignored. thanks.
never push off with the toes.. the toes are too small a structure to leverage the whole weight of a human.. you're inviting injury.
HELP I'M 12 AND IT HASN'T GONE AWAYYYY
you can try roller skating for a few hours on the weekends I know it sounds weird but it will keep you on your flat feet and it helped me for a while. I'm 15 and I've been doing this since the time I could walk and I think I stop walking like that out in public but I still do it at home on accident. it's hard for me because I always forget about it and never equate myself with it but sometimes I randomly remember it and my sister always has to tell me to get off my toes
We should walk on our toes!
Wrong, wrong ,if you didn't have big cushioned sneakers you would not be landing on your heel
na i like walking on my toes it’s good for my legs 😂
Liam Holford ya ikr my friends make fun of me for walking on my toes but then I show them my leg muscles and they shut the fuck up jk but fr my leg muscles are 5x bigger than everyone else in my grade
Same lollll. My leg muscles are super strong and people always compliment my calves. My cousin said that my legs are so strong because I’ve been walking on my tiptoes my whole life lol.
I’ve been doing this my whole life and my grandma says it’s bad for my feet. hElPpPP.
What's wrong w w as long on toes? Isn't that what high heels do to feet anyway?
Well, that's odd. She says to push off the toes, but in the demo she rolls from heel to toes with no push off at all like a normal gait!
just lean back a little more when you walk.
It's not to easy though. It out me off balance and I call backwards
same, I use to walk with my back leaned back more, but due to lower back injuries and tail bone injuries it made my back stiff to walk that way and I tend to lean a lot when I'm on the computer, which I think was also a cause of poor posture over time now. I can still correct my posture though but its going to be awkward walking as its harder in stepping properly. It wears me out and I have short legs from being 5'2 with long and wide feet. I bounce too and I also have a right foot problem with a tight tendon swelled up. If I do the heal to toe normal walking, my high arch seems stiff and since my tendon is swollen its like walking on a board. My brain got use to walking with this gait it seems since I first walked and like someone else says, it can be due to under developed ligaments and possible weakness in the feet and calve area when we were born. Having a short tendon is also the cause. Whenever I practice walking normally, I get stares from the awkwardness of my walk. lol its not fun. People need to learn to respect others especially if they had injuries, or a different walking gait like theirs.
I walk on my heels.. 😔
Does this stop bouncing?
What is this - "Walking for dummies"?
...
videodude123XYZ actually no it helps people that walk on their tip toes break that habit
It's a serious problem. My body literally can't walk like that. You shouldn't joke like that
MysticMagic369 :3 same
i can't walk on my heals my feet are locked on tip toe walking I'm an adult i can't stop tip toeing cause of the pain in my calfs and feet
Im in the same boat. I don't have any pain but my calves are wildly inflexible and my heels generally only touch the ground if I'm standing for long periods of time. I can walk with my heels but I tend to trip on my own feet when doing so. On the bright side I'm sure you have amazing calves from walking on your toes. My calves are actually larger than my quads. you probably learned to walk incorrectly as a child and it stuck with you into adulthood. I'm in the exact same boat minus the pain. Do you think their could be another reason for the pain? are you sure it's not just the muscle getting a little sore from a long day? because that would be pretty normal.
Alex Crowder hey ,yes i do have very strong calves and yes i started walking with my toes first touching the ground followed by my heel normally i think i walk backwards compaerd to normal walking but i dragged myself to a surgen and explained everything turns out from all those years my achilles tendon shrunk and my calves took overtime thats why it hurt so bad anyways long story short he punched a few holes in it and now i can walk normally its called "achilles tendon lengthening surgery" but i doubt youll need it since your heels can touch the ground may be try botox in your calves first and then work up to the surgery if you need it warning it hurts alot and you want be able to walk after without a cast and crutches .
Austin .Bailey positivity is great but sometimes theres nothing you can really do to make it better my family use to make fun of the way i walked because they thought id just start walking normaly like its all in my head will it wasent i went through open heart surgery and then straight to foot surgery because i couldent take it anymore sometimes i wish people would just leave me alone
wow, I've never even hears of that surgery. My grandpa actually fully snapped his Achilles tendon but they just replaced it with a hamstring. Hopefully I won't need to punch holes in my Achilles tendon. That does sound painful. Luckily toe walking hasn't caused any problems for me yet, other than shrunken quads. I'm sure I can fix that with squats. Anyways I hope everything goes well with recovery! Thanks for sharing your story!
Alia Albinali actually when you walk on your top toes it weakens your calves so actually your calves are very weak
Wtf is she standing on one leg can she do a post of how to stand on 2 feet

Seriously bad advice - you will pay for doing this as you get older...
