    Room looks awesome! Every other video I see of cigar rooms people have way to much going on. It's a cigar room not a night club. Your room is simple and classy. When I finish my time in the Military and finally pick my forever home, cigar room is the first thing I'm working on.

    This might be a weird request, but I would love to see the smoke get sucked out of the room on a future video...well executed room!

    Wow! looks awesome. You sure did get a lot of ideas from Jeremy Siers Cigar Lounge but realize he to got a lot of his idea as he said from that "Lounge feel", which is his own interpretation of places he's been and seen. When I do my version of Jeremy Siers Cigar Lounge I'll take from the darker walls, moldings, hardwood floors but your closet shelving is something I need to do. I have the same type of room and plan to do just what you did to my closet so thanks for that idea. Enjoy your Lounge!

      Yes, Jeremy was my inspiration. I never would have considered this project without seeing his video. I live alone with four bedrooms so why not. Total cost thus far, about $8000. Biggest expense was floor, $1400 and HVAC $1700.

    What color is that on the walls

  • @joblow8213
    @joblow8213 Před rokem

    My opinion the grey wall is not inviting...maybe break it up by painting the chair rail a different color (darker?)...
    But my advice...lose the grey and go with a Hunter Green...a very rich and relaxing color...but don't paint the walls and ceiling the same color...

    Really nicely done! I've seen all the other videos on CZcams and yours (to me) looks like something I could achieve myself too. Can you ballpark about how much you spent on the whole project?

    • @johnmtb5237
      @johnmtb5237  Před rokem

      Carpenter was $1000. He built bookshelf and did all the crown molding and chair rails. In-line exhaust fan installed was $1300. Air purifier $500. Paint $400. Electric $600. Shelves $500. Cabinets, chairs, artwork etc. $2000.

    If your cigar room has an a/c supply vent, can smoke smell go into other rooms of the house through the a/c supply vent? Or, does the rabbit air, and in-line smoke evacuater prevent smoke smell from entering the supply vent and traveling to other rooms in the house. Did you put any weatherstripping on the door to keep smoke smell out?

    • @johnmtb5237
      @johnmtb5237  Před 2 lety

      Good question. I don’t smell smoke anywhere in the house. When I turn the exhaust fan on it actually pulls air in from the a.c. heating vent. You can feel it pulling air. I actually leave the door to the room cracked about two inches while smoking because the fan pulls air through there too. With the door cracked the smoke goes out through exhaust vent even better. I don’t turn on Rabbit air until I’m done smoking. Then I leave exhaust on low, Rabbit air on medium and I close the door overnight. Next morning it’s all good.

    • @johnmtb5237
      @johnmtb5237  Před 2 lety

      I did not use weather stripping.

    • @johnmtb5237
      @johnmtb5237  Před 2 lety +3

      My hvac guy told me to turn on the heat or air conditioning in the room, turn on exhaust fan to low, crack the door, light a cigar near crack in the door. If smoke is pulling into room you’re good. If goes out crack in door adjust fan higher until it pulls smoke into room.

    • @johnmtb5237

      AC Infinity Cloudline S8. I bought it on Amazon. $179. It’s actually designed for a marijuana grow room. It has 8 speeds. Works great on 2.

    How does the ventilation work?

    • @johnmtb5237
      @johnmtb5237  Před 2 lety

      I purchased an 8 inch in line fan and had hvac people install. It's actually made for a marijuana grow room. I put the fan on 2 and Crack the door a couple inches. The fan pulls air through Crack in door and the smoke goes right up the 10x10 inch register. The fan was $275 and the hvac guy charged $1300 to install.
