My favorite QB in this draft great touch, good pocket presence, mobile but looks to throw 1st, very good anticipation throwing guys as they come open not late.
Put him in an NFL weight and conditioning program and I think he becomes a star in a few years.
Smooth, great footwork, great highlights, great mechanics, great arm, quick release. Let's see what's next!
Some positives I've noticed:
-amazing confidence and something you need out of your QB
-natural passer and football player, seems like his IQ is high
-good anticipation, reads the field well
Some negatives I noticed:
-not the most athletic guy but athletic enough
-arm is not great but still has confidence in it, could be good or bad thing
-needs polishing, slightly worrisome at age 23
Overall, I like him I think its a toss up between him and Haskins for #1 it really depends on what system you run and how you want to use each player. Similar to Haskins I think his talent is a mid to late first rounder but will go earlier do to positional need. His upside seems a bit higher than Haskins to me but he's 2 years older so he'll be a 27/28 year old coming off his rookie contract which is always interesting

Pats fan here. After watching video of some of the other qbs, I have to say I like how he gets rid of the ball quick. Looks like he has good not great arm strength. But if he is smart he would be good behind Brady for a few years.

Will Grier will be a star. He was up to the task as a freshman at Florida and had them in talks for title contention had he not gotten in trouble with dumbass McEl. I like him. He knows how to weather adversity as he showed when,he regrouped and came back to D1 in Morgantown to kill it there. He will be great.

@@derekkemp9271 You know. He makes pretty throws. I do notice in clutch times he had fumbles. He didnt make good choices with the ball occasionally. I noticed he practically lunge throws it. He also under throws his man and in NFL automatic interception. Not to mention when he threw it into double coverage and totally missed his mark. I some some good and some really bad Bortles quality stuff.

not a lot of arm talent but insanely accurate at times and incredibly smart. only issue is that he brings his arm back really far to throw, which hinders his release time. his line gives him until age 30 to let go of the ball

OK. Of what I have seen so far of this year's college class of Quarterbacks, there are only, in my opinion, two that are ready for the NFL. Dwayne Hawkins and this young man. Will Grier is nice. As a New York Giants fan, I would love to get Will Grier if he is available. I love Eli Manning,but, he is done. The Giants need to draft their next franchise QB. I believe that Will Grier can be that guy. Can't wait for the 2019 NFL draft.
Eli Manning is just too damn stubborn and selfish to admit he's done and just retire.
I say selfish because it is selfish. It's selfish to his team and their fans. Giants have a great team with arguably the best RB in the league and OBJ and Engram. If Kyle Lauletta was given a chance to adjust and be more comfortable this year then they probably qould have won a few. He's a solid QB and scary accurate. You should know that. Personally, I dont even think the Giants need to draft another QB. At least stick with Lauletta for 1 year and see how he adjusts. If he blows then replace him next year.
This year what they need to work on is that defense and OLine. Once they do that they will have an almost perfect team. And if Lauletta fails then at least thats all they will desperately need in the 2020 draft. Which they can trade up for easily. After that it's post season after post season for the Giants.

Are you willing to watch another year where the Giants miss the playoffs? The Giants have played in only one playoff game since they last won the Superbowl in 2012. Seems to be a smart styled player (A-rod) comes to mind. Fast thinking goes through his progressions doesn't need alot of time being protected as Big Ben or Tom Brady would perfect fit. He has a very very smooth release but his drawback and the release is just a hair slow...not like tebow slow but its there. That extra millisecond could be the difference in a td or a pick...might be something that he should work on if he starts in the big leagues next season.

Patriots have two second round picks. Right now he's projected to be there in the 2nd round for them. Obviously still a long way to go before the draft, but I hope the Pats get him
Not if you wanna win you dont..he is seriously inaccurate af outside of 40yds and has the tendency to overthrow or underthrow recievers at distance...also I have come to believe by watching WV games that he really cant adjust to defences or recognize coverages because has seemed like most of throws and decision making is pre planned (basically meaning it seems like all the plays are meant for and schemes for certain recievers so if that reciever doesnt get open then he is fuked because he most times looks over the short check down man looking for the long ball), he also has a tendency to try to force plays therefore throwing into tight coverage or double coverage, also he has a tendency to hold onto the ball WAY too long therefore taking unnecessary sacks (or losing 20yds on a sack)...
