@@evancraven4784 saying should’ve won is bold. u lost by 2 scores. it really has to be a crazy event to say u should’ve won. u definetly COULDVE won. very few times are u able to say we should’ve won. arkansas auburn 2020 arkansas should’ve won because the reds had a horrible call that determined the game. maybe i missed something in that wvu bama game that determined the game if so please tell me and correct me it just kind of annoys me when someone says should’ve as opposed to very well could’ve
@BradyWarzYT oh ya i’m not taking away from the game. it was a great battle by wvu and props for that. i’m just saying i can’t say should’ve won unless the refs literally ruin the game on a game changing call that wasn’t right. but it was a good game. wvu could’ve won but technically not should’ve

I'm so stoked about this upcoming season...I'm watching WVU videos from last year and highlights...getting goosebumps...win or lose, I'm a WVU fan for life! This is our year!

Me too.....we gotta take out Oklahoma this year. I'm very concerned about our defense, but I do know we have touchdown jesus, two great receivers..I just think our defense are going to need to make a lot of clutch plays for us to get to that Big 12 title game that we deserve...I think it's our year...LET'S GOOOO

You could same the exact same thing for about 20 of the losses during the Holgerson era !
At least you weren't there in 2012 sitting in seats behind the end zone where tavon austin took a TCU punt back for a touchdown right in your face...only to watch tcu answer and take the game to overtime...and then double overtime...where TCU's boykin hit boyce on a 2 point conversion in the same end zone where tavon ran in the punt return...so close that they needed to review it...I saw him pretty clearly make the touchdown..but we had to sit in anticipation and then walk out of the stadium in disgust after the call was confirmed.
TCU fans were pretty awesome, though. It was a great game.

Most of my dads side is from West Virginia, so his dad (my granddad) was a mountaineer fan, and he made my dad one and now my dad has made me one with this past March Madness! IM STOKED FOR THIS FOOTBALL SEASON let's go baby!!

I remember being at the OK State game at 9:10 never heard the stadium louder than it was for that game and couldn't talk for a week
Nice touch putting the two highlights from the 2009 game against Pitt at the end.
I like WVU being in the Big 12 and I know we have an upcoming series with Pitt planned but the ADs from both WVU and Pitt need to get their heads out of their behinds and start to reschedule that game every year - you don't take a 100+ year rivalry that is an easy road trip for the visiting team and let it fizzle away for whatever reason. As a long time WVU fan I've seen good years and bad years but one thing you could count on during the bad years was that you always had the Pitt game to look forward to and beating them made a bad season a lot better.
I miss all our traditional rivals. PSU, CUSE,pITT, VT. I like the Big 12 too but way too much jet lag.
Agreed. I'm happy to be in the Big 12 but if there's another realignment in the future I think the best case scenario for us would be to end up in in the ACC Coastal division and get Pitt, VT and Miami back on the schedule.

I miss playing pitt and turkey tech on a regular basis but overall top to bottom the acc is lame and boring in football and I'd MUCH rather see us in the Big XII !

20 plus years ago there were some good and loud games.. LOTS OF THEM :) When we sacked McNabb his senior year (1998) (James Earl Jones was at the game that day); A VTech game (no I don't remember which one, lol).. had to stop play because they (Hookies couldn't hear) same with BC and a few other games... This was 97-2001 (when I was there, lol)... The stadium used to have it where they could put the decimals on the jumbo-tron, but I don't know if they do that now :) That was always awesome to see how loud it really was in there :) Good Times. WVU Football always makes it exciting :)
One of my memories from childhood is the night of the game against Doug Flutie's Eagles of Boston College (in 1984, the year he threw the hail mary against Miami). We were down 20-6 in the 4th quarter and came back to win. At the end of the game, I could hear from my house 3 miles away, "LET'S GO..... MOUNTAINEERS.... LET'S GO.... MOUNTAINEERS....!" Flutie never beat WVU.
And a week later beat PSU for the first time in 28 years. That was a loud crowd too.
Those were great times. Our season fell apart after that, but we had a good bowl game against TCU in the Bluebonnet Bowl once we got our starters back from injuries.
How is there no Tavon Austin highlights here?! Especially his long runs during the South Beach Beatdown against Clemson! #1 always got the crowd going. Major oversight leaving out Tavon.

I was at the Va Tech game in Landover. Most fun I've had at a game that we lost. LSU game was fun also, but that damn punt return is like a black cloud!

The LSU game and the upset against Baylor were the loudest 2 games I went to. Especially when Kevin White made the 1 handed catch

Just discovered this video I see a lot of should coulda would’ve comments. how about what we did to CLEMSON it might be said we changed Mrs Sweeney for life with that game. That program completely leveled up after that loss. Unfortunately West Virginia university has been plagued with bad politics and athletic directors. It may be changing but basketball always seems to get the attention.
West Virginia needs to change your schedule first four games of the season they need to play the big school like Ohio State LSU Florida all West Virginia does is talk to talk I like to see them walk the talk

Dana was such a bad coach lol. So many games were up two scores but he couldn't manage the game properly. How the hell did we lose that TCU game on gameday? His special teams and defense was always horrible.

Half the starters never made it on to the field to start with, including Will Grier. Utah was a good team and may have won anyway, but WVU never had a chance with so many 2's playing.

I've lived in tn for a couple of years now and every year you always hear cols fans saying "This year is our year." The team doesn't even want to play they volunteered. But a mountaineer is determined to reach the top and make that mountain his. LET'S GOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!!!! Either way, I'm sure the game will be somewhat close. It'll be a fun game for sure
