  • In 2023, Gazprom's revenues plummeted by nearly a third, marking the company's worst financial crisis in 25 years. Analysts warn that the Russian gas industry may not recover from these record losses, driven by the loss of the European market post-Ukraine invasion. With Europe diversifying its energy imports and China demanding steep discounts, Gazprom faces an uncertain future. Could expanding into products like ammonia and methanol save the company? Stay tuned to find out more about the Russian crisis as a result of western sanctions.

Russia needs to experience very different kinds of losses - sort of like the losses that inbound missiles and bombs have been inflicting on Ukraine for more than two years now. Dams. Thermoelectric generation capacity. Pipelines. Railroads. Tunnels. Hospitals. Manufacturing of all kinds. Government offices of all kinds. Basically everything. The land of outhouses + imperial overreach needs to feel this one in the shorts. The people of Russia had their chance to show some sentiment in the last election and they totally failed to vote for anyone but Putin. A few brave citizens showed their dissent via actions at the polling places.

You know I am not Russian or Ukranian and really do not have much of a stake in what happens. Just reading some of the comments here. Where is the hate for Russia coming from? Technically many other countries have invaded other countries. Specifically US. I am from a western country and see the same news everyone else is seeing. It has not turned me into some anti-Russian zealot. The kind of hate I see in these responds still shocks me. Maybe people should tone things down a bit. Russia is just anouther country like all the rest. Some good and some bad. To seek the destruction of an entire country is not logical.
