The most rational and logical take on build quality. This can only be appreciated by persons who think logically. Great job
Build quality,
1) Measure the sheet metal 2mm or 2.5 or 3mm, if the Build quality is strong, if thickness of sheet metal more then milage will be less.
2) Spring quality good and balanced means Comfort will be very good.
3) Design Airodynamics if there's more sharp edges in front.. There will be air buzzing noice while Exceeding 100kms speed.
4) if the Tyre width is more milage is less but good road grip.. Which is very important factor of safety..
5) Rollover need to be compared

Let me explain build quality in a nutshell:
Baleno scored 3/5 in crash ratings and bodyshell was called unstable
Elite i20 scored 3/5 in crash ratings and bodyshell was called unstable
Swift scored 2/5 in crash ratings and bodyshell was called unstable
*VW POLO scored 4/5 in crash ratings and bodyshell was called STABLE*
Lesson: If you have a budget of 6-10 lacs and do not want to die early, go for VW Polo. No reviewer will tell you this but you can check the facts on NCAP site itself. Reviewers are here to misguide us and I feel they are paid for this.

Very good facts shared by you, I am using polo from last 7 years and met with nasty accident in October this year, my car was totally damaged but me, my wife and my two kids, we all were safe and did not get a single scratch even, we all walked out of the polo safely. My car is a total loss declared by the insurance company and again I am buying a vw product that Ameo. No one can beat vw in built quality in India. These Japanese car maker always produce cars which save fuel not life.

None of the cars are safe if you do maniac speeds on roads. Crash tests done by car manufacturers are within a controlled environment which isn’t the case in the real world.
So, keep your overconfidence of your car being safer just because it has 6 airbags or some additional features such as abs, ebd, esp, traction control and so on.
Further build quality is just a big joke in all cars. My uncle Ikon car crashed into a tree and his driver died on the spot.
So, drive safe within reasonable limits.

I completely agree with you on driving practices. Maniac speeds should only be restricted to GTA and not the real world.
But ABS EBD ESP TCS are featues that help the driver from "Loss of Control" situations and that IMO is not just safety for the driver but also for others in the streets.
In a way these systems are your first line of defence. In a god forbid case that "Maniac Driver" crashes in front of you.
Anti-lock Braking Systems or ABS - "Allows Braking and Steering" and will help you stop in time and steer away
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution or EBD - "Efficinet Braking During" turning will help you steer away without hitting the ditch
Electronic Stability Program or ESP - "Excellent Skidding Prevention" specially on wet/icy roads
Traction Control System or TCS - "Traction on Comepletely on Slippery" surfaces
Brake Assist or BA - "Brake Aggresively" durring sudden braking and give you the precious seconds to stop before you crash
IMO look for cars with these as they will help you stop or steer away in time and also DONT BE A MANIAC DRIVER, you are a risk to society.

Baleno’s sheet quality is really bad and I am speaking from experience.
2 years ago, I was stopped at a red light and an i10 hit my baleno alpha from behind.
The i10 suffered no damage from it except a crooked front number plate whereas I had to get a new rear bumper and 2 of the middle parking sensors. The next car I purchase will either be a vw vento, ford ecosport or a second hand Jeep Compass.
Have you tried to hit the i10 in the same way it hit your car???

Actually the Matter is punto Innova Polo old generation cars has better build quality with less crumple zone so chote accident me kuch nhi hoga agar bara huwa to car will face some damage but more over those passenger can feel the g shock a bit so they will be injured

Change shock absorber every 50000-60000km if your shock absorber are in bad condition it can disbalanced ur car
Check ur break before leaving home . check ur break efficiency and guess that maximum speed at which ur car can Break safely use psssing light during overtake

I20 elite's frame is definitely great build quality. I had an accident, where I hit honda city, the honda city's back frame just wrapped by impact, but my i20 bumper only broken.
Dicky is backed by empty space and bumper is backed by engine and other components
Honday's dicky cannot be crushed even by an inch if met accident with i20 after the dicky zone.

Yeah Tata car's build quality is good but no car is safe when you drive your car over the speed.. Accident rate is high in India because many Indian never follow any traffic rules.. There's no traffic sense in India... Tata Nano & Renault Kwid are The most Unsafe cars in India because it got only 0/17 points and ZERO adult safety rating in NCAP safety test but still accident rate of these two cars, is very less because very few people have these cars..

Report Economics yes you are right the child safety ratings are 0 but overall latin ncap score is 3 with 2 airbag and it scored 3.5 in euro ncap with 6 airbags
If a car doesn't score 3 star then it can't sold in latin and euro markets and ford is selling them as ka+
So it means it has fulfilled their norma

I have seen your so many videos and reviews and learn alot, but right now I am really confuse about making a decisions,
Currently I am running cng santro, 70kms per day, monthly running cost is not more than 5k it's really pocket friendly and now
I want to buy a premium hatchback car and after 10k kms I am planning to install cng (as it's pocket friendly for me) and I am confuse in I20 and baleno..
I am more towards premiumness, comfort and build rather than pickup and speeding, as I drive in Delhi traffic mostly ....
Please guide me which car I should choose and why? And how both car will perform in cng and mileage I can expect from both.
