A very good fisherman AND a person that cares about his/her environment enough to pick up others trash. I tip my hat to you and the Wifey. Thank you for caring. And thanks for sharing. Blessings

I do it to protect the reel from too much pressure, BUT!!! It definitely destroys the rod over time so only do it if ur ok with a minced rod grip 🤙

Echoing the above. I think this content is great because it motivates us to get out there in places we can more or less readily access. The high budget stuff is a good spectacle but doesn't really apply to most fishos.

The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight czcams.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

The cookout reminds me of big family gatherings by the pond on my grandparents farm in Eastern North Carolina. After some luck fishing at one of the famous North Carolina coast fishing piers everyone would get together for a feed. Sometime back before I was born (I'm 60) they built a dining hall just for the purpose of fish fries as we call it. Just tons of deep fried fish, little corn meal fritters we call hush puppies and Cole slaw with lemonade or iced tea. Very simple but soooo good.

Never forget F.E.C flour, egg, crumb. 😁. And deep frying is reasonably healthy too cause the oil is so hot it seals the crumb before has a chance to seep into the fish. Lovin the content bro, solid.
