Y'know what I understood and noticed, is that When the fake Kryptonite took hold of Superman in the earlier scene in Superman III, it made him straighten the Leaning Tower of Pisa (which was a bit comedic to some extent), as part of his near turn towards the evil side, but when Clark purged the evilness out of Superman's evil self, then in the end, he sets out to undo the damage his evil counterpart did, and we got the Leaning Tower of Pisa back to where it was originally.

I don't know what was the point of making Lois feel rejected and replaced at the very end of the movie. Seems like the producers being petty and vindictive to Margot after she criticized them for forcing Richard Donner out of the series. I think the Leaning Tower of Pisa gag is pretty good, and the Italian shop owner plays it perfectly. It was actually originally in the Superman II script. Superman straightened the tower after he fell in love with Lois because he was in a great mood and decided to run around the world helping people and fixing things for a little while.

I can't believe they made more after the first one. Every one of those movies are so corny. Horrible mismanagement of funds as well as each one feels cheaper than the last.

The Salkinds were cheap. They used Marlon Brando's name and star power to lure in potential investors who could help them finance Superman: The Movie. When the movie became a huge blockbuster they fired the director and cut all of Marlon Brando's scenes from Superman II so they could save money. They had no idea what Superman 3 should be about so they turned to Richard Pryor, another big name in Hollywood. All the while, doing things on the cheap, saving money.
The Salkinds weren't even involved in Superman 4, but the less said about that disaster, the better.
