Love the quarter oz, I like the sovereigns too because it’s low premium, history and the CGT & VAT free. If you need a bit of cash quickly for an unexpected payment the quarters and sovereigns are perfect as opposed to having to sell an oz of gold. Great video mate

I have a soft spot for the Brittanias too although I live in the states. I have a few tenth oz but it's hard to enjoy the design like I do with the quarter oz. One day hopefully I'll get a half oz or a full oz.

If it were me in your shoes, I would get 2 x 1/2 oz in different designs rather than a full ounce.
The half oz is more than adequate to show the designs I've listed in my comment.
One coin on my bucket list is the Buffalo/Bison Indian Head, a truly noble example of Indigenous Native Culture.
A great reminder that Carnal Custard got his just deserts, for publicising, against specific orders by President Grant if gold could be found on sacred Indian Black Hills territory.

Just like anything, you should never try to keep all of your eggs in one basket. What if gold goes up so high it's difficult to sell 1 oz gold? That's why you need small coins too.
Another thing. Let's say you loose 2 gold coins and those 2 coins happen to have been 1 oz coins. Now lets say instead of them being 1 oz coins they were 1/4 oz coins. You'd have only lost 1/4 of the gold instead.

@@FutureInvestmentsBullion thanks buddy. Im nowhere where id like to be since I've only been stacking since 2021 but I'm about half way to my silver base weight goal of 1000 Oz's. The crappy thing is being on a limited income but I'm pushing as hard as I can. Definitely making a lot of sacrifices so I can get there. I'll have my gold unboxings a few of them coming up though but I'm back at primarily stacking silver to get the base up to my goal as soon as possible and once Im There I'll be primarily stacking gold and. Id like to get up to 1000 Oz's of silver and 25 Oz's of gold but of course on a limited income that's going to take a while

Quarter ounce 999 gold coin from any mint is the way to go now, with so much currency in circulation.
Fortunately the Royal Mint has produced over years, different Britannia and Queens Beast designs.
As a bonus, there are well over 200 different very recognisable sovereigns of a similar size.
My collection of 1/4oz britannias comprise of 2 x 4 different designs, however should bigger coins of a different design be desirable, the 1/2 oz charioteer 2009, Seated ladies looking both left and right, and 2010 portrait lady (looking to the right) are worth a bit extra should you be fortunate enough to find them available.
If you do indeed have in your collection similar 1oz britannia designs from the first decade of 2000 when gold was less than half of what it is now, you must be feeling rather satisfied with yourselves.
It should be noted that pre 2012, Britannias were minted in 22ct gold, but specify a full troy ounce.
    For example:
    2001 Standing Britannia and Lion.
2005 Seated Britannia looking to the left
2007 Seated Britannia looking to the right
2008 Standing Britannia in Ocean wave
    2009 Charioteer Britannia
2010 Portrait Britannia looking to the right.
Combining these listed here, with the different standing Britannia designs, will spur you on to acquire as many sovereigns as you can get, just so you may never have to part with your Britannias.
Its worth noting that Victoria shield back sovereigns also being 22ct gold, are equally stunning and as paper currency became more into use during George V reign, sovereigns can be acquired with very little wear with a wonderful rich yellow, blended with Silver (?) as against post 2000 blended with copper.
All these attributes, being VAT and Capital Gains tax free and not a bank balance sheet and giving you comfort that you'll never be poor or destitute.

I just purchased another 1/4 oz Greyhound queens beast yesterday paid £440 shipped, the previous 1/4 oz QB cost £460 that was the Yale,
I paid £400 for a griffin in a leather presentation case 1 of 25 made 3 weeks ago that’s the cheapest 1/4 I have purchased this year.
Last year I was buying 1/4 oz Britannia’s for £404 on average. Facebook gold groups are a great way to snag a bargain imo, just be careful and get references
FB groups are also a good way of selling PMs.
I just purchased a 2023 queen 1/10 Britannia carded for 180 shipped. Now I’m broke 😅 but happy to know I’ve got another 1/10th on the way.

@@FutureInvestmentsBullion oh ye it’s growing indeed. It’s a long list and story. I started with gold 1 oz meter bars the cheapest, from that 1 g bars 2.5 bars 5g bars, pamp mostly then some $5 dollar gold American coins Indian head 21/2 dollars French ruster, then pandas 1/2s and 1oz then buffaloes, eagles, Australia snakes 1oz then back to 1. 20/th oz lunar The 1/2oz Britannia then 1oz Britannias + queen beast 1oz that got very expensive so now doing 1/4 brits and queen beasts. It’s took 12 + years and I also stack silver. It’s an addiction I admit. But I’m learning to let some silver go these days to trade swap sell for AU it’s been a ride. Oh I’m forgetting my very small fractional 1 2/5th oz 999 gold that so small I can nearly see them. I’ll send you a picture someday if your interested.

I look at the premiums as the amout it cost me to invest. Example spot is around 1500 and you pay 1650 for a z of gold that £150 for a z of gold to me . Asoon as the money is paid the wealth is transferred into metal. you can get the spot price back at anytime . You will loose a premium but £150 loss is better than spending £1600 on phone or cloths and getting nothing back at all . The quarts brits are perfect not to small and not too costly just right . the gold price is rising these coins are a good buy .
