In france , squealing started , looked at the belts ,, jeez ! Last legs ,,, so now parked up , the two that go over the tensioner were nearly slipping off , they are shot , ,, so Sunday at the mo , waiting for the spares shop to open in thé morning , tensioned those two knacks red ones so squealing stopped , 30 min trip to the shop ,, then now thanks to you I can find a supermarket car park when I get the new belts ( if they’ve got em in of course ? ) under cover some where as it’s pissing down all week and get em changed . Thanks so much perfect info I needed .

i had to put 2 x 10x850 belts instead of the original 10x825 belts since the 825s were too tight

Hi George. Just letting you know that i wasnt happy regarding the tension on the belts but after watching a vid by ttxela on the tube i didnt realise that there is 3 not 2 nuts to loosen on the compression pump, and a great way using a ring spanner to get tension on the tension pully so i will be rectifying this. If you watch both vids it will help enormously,

Hi Paul just started watching your videos and joined the Talbot Owners Club today can't digger out to get my membership number .But I must say how you undid that large but is beyond me as that holds your camshaft and oil seal in place ,as you found out later you just undo the ten mm nuts . Mines J5French they make things simple
