u cant filter items there, i cant find "wand" or "ring" just named uniques. Are there other valid Trade sites? or discords? on Wudijo discord i cant find many softcore items
Another spending tip is to always temper items before enchanting so you don't spend lots of gold on something that gets bricked when tempering.
Meh once the item cost 1million to enchant aka 4 to 5 enchants I consider it bricked anyhow
Unless it rolls a grater affix that's important to your build which will be rare as hell

That’s it if you don’t get what you want and got some random stat that doesn’t even help your build, you basically lost that item because it’s shit now
And enchanting you can re roll forever technically as long as you got gold and mats

If the stats are bad for your build, it doesn’t help at all … and the going rate is insane, I have seen trash items that have terrible stats n people still selling them for 500 mill just because some sucker looked at it and was like omg 3 greater affix that’s the best item in the game I got to buy it 😂

I gave this feedback during the PTR, but in S2 and S3, gold income was not a problem, because the seasonal objectives had hourly resetting whispers worth 2, 3, and 5 favors each that took only a couple of minutes to complete and you were strongly incentivized to grind them to level up your seasonal powers. The Iron Wolves season theme being centered around helltides replaced them with the helltide whispers which aren't as rewarding (and don't really need to be as helltides reward you in plenty of other ways). Improving the whisper rewards to 5 for the harvest, 10 for dungeons, and 2-3 for the minor whispers I think would alleviate this pretty effectively. That or they could add more substantial gold rewards to other activities like killing world bosses, legion events, nightmare dungeons, or running the pit.

Theres many simple ways blizz can fix this. Add a gold reward to the end of NM dungeons and the pit. They can make NM dungeons count towards the turn in requirement. They can reduce the cost of masterworking. All easy solutions. But most of all, i would like them to make the whisper progress bar turn into a port to the tree when filled.
idk if its something that needs fixing, its an endgame grind, i dont mind it, at least for now

What could be beneficial for everyone in the long term is doing something like they do in wow. When you upgrade a slot, you get a discount on upgrading that slot up to your highest upgrade point. That way you can play around with more builds or catch up a new item that has more greater affixes without feeling like you're starting from scratch
I don’t believe anything needs to be fixed. There are multiple activities, they are varied in nature, and they each net you something different needed to reach your end game goals.
Now that said, I wouldn’t say no to improving the whisper experience, they are my least favorite activity compared to helltides/bossing/nmd/pit.
One thing would be nice is once I reach level 100 nm and pit xp rewards should be turned to gold or anything that would give an xp reward should be changed to gold once you reach 100

One adjustment that could be made is in the smoldering ashes. The urn of iron is not as helpful since the favors are completed pretty early. They could add or change it to urn of gold for up to x% gold bonus. There were ways to boost gold find in previous diablo games. Maybe they can make some tweaks to it here, too.
I don't mind grinding gold, though, and the escalating costs are appropriate for the power gain.
Pick and sell your yellows as well as selling all legendary items that aren't a codex upgrade.
It makes a massive difference.
Yeah That s what I do since I'm swimming in craft materials but the vendor needs a sell all button.

In the long run, it really doesnt. Dungeons should be dropping like 3 million gold per. Curently you might get 250k, even after selling all the drops.

Gold find nightmare dungeons help as well, it’s not a lot but it does help.
I like that gold has a meaning and i like that its not too easy to get stuff done. What i dont like is being punished for having bad luck (like rolling getting more expensive, masterwork reset costs when younget the wrong skillnupdated😮). They should improve on that concept.but still this season all together is such a blast.
the issue is that gold is the only meaning of the game it overtakes everything and the game has basically become pay to win.

It's not everyone, the casual dad gamers are saying it's in a great spot and it should be hard to find but they have no idea how bad it is
Plus for some Whispers are broken. My mate cannot deliver them to tree of whispers and there seems to be a common problem after the last update
I like the summoning alter in the helltide, drops a ton of legendaries u can sell, I was making 15million gold per helltide today
To me Whispers need the Obol treatment. Slight rewards buff + raise storage cap. The system isn't the problem (farming Whispers is just exploring the open world and killing monsters). It is the clunkiness around that system that causes frustration. Remove the friction of having to stop what you're doing so often to get your cache reward.
Solution: Whisper progress cap 10 --> 30, gold reward +50%
What about Poe ? One of the crafting of is locked behind Catarina which people hate doing … why is this different than farming for gold ?

Did they nerf how often you get a legendary cache from the tree? I’ve done like 10-15 past lvl 100 and I think I’ve gotten 1 legendary cache

You need to be able to set the whispers tree as your home portal location, the amount of times I'm trying to find it on the map and then try to port while in helltide and get knocked out is annoying particularly on a controller
Add Tree of Whispers turn in to the main interface so you don't have to tele there and back every time. Make dungeon reward give 10 whispers instead of 5. Would also like to see more whispers in Helltide but I do really enjoy the changes they made this season to Helltide otherwise.
What about GA item farm? Would helltide boss killing be the best or some other place?

In s2 i focused alot on selling/trading gear. That was the only time I didnt have massive gold problems in D4. Rerolling 1 item 1 time costs 16 mil gold etc. D4 has just been a gold farming simulator for me, I don't think I'm gonna start playing again until they've fixed the gold costs

Thank you Blizzard, going into this season I was really looking forward to grinding whispers in order to interact with your new endgame system. Forget chasing cool items, farming bosses, etc. I want to chase Whisper caches all day for the gold 😎
Making whispers the gold source is interesting with open trade. You can obtain all of your gear by grinding whispers and then trading.
we need an option at the vendor to sell all, we got this option for salvaging, why not for selling at a vendor? i mean without marking as trash, especially on consoles it takes so much time to mark every item in your inventory as trash. so many clicks.

It usually takes me about 10 minutes to complete a whisper and that normally gets me about 3mil, a bit more if it's a chaos cache, and a bit more than that if it's a greater cache that rarely ever appears even with the seasonal ashes. I can last about two or three whispers before I get annoyed at having to do that just to get some gold. Whispers are fun to do randomly on a whim but not fun to farm constantly. I want to try out multiple builds on my characters but it's so incredibly costly and punishing to switch things around.
If your playing soft core or brave on hardcore the pvp Zone whispers are good for farming.
Maybe you have to voice to propose something to blizzard: Since you insta-mark Yellow items as trash and vendor them immediately, how about they introduce a simple feature of "Sell all Rares" in a tab at the Vendors that would be identical to the Blacksmithing tab of "Salvage all Rares". Makes it much easier so you don't have to mark them and you'll be in and out of the portal fast.
I started selling my legendaries from helltide and stuff instead of salvaging them to get a couple million gold per pop. I haven’t played in a season or so but I never hurt for gold until this season.
Hey Wudi, i have a random question. I saw in this video you were using force move. It looked like you have it on the mouse wheel? I tried putting my force move on the scroll wheel and my character stutter steps like mad. I cant figure out why. Is this something you have seen?
I've never encountered that problem personally. Are you sure u set it right? The trick is to set them as Wheel Down & Wheel Up so that you can keep swishing your mouse wheel to move. If your stuttering perhaps it's a problem with your mouse? I'm not sure
To add to the comment above me, maybe your mouse wheel has an “unlocked” mode to scroll really fast with no incremental crunching, in case you can use that setting to sidestep any input issues with your mouse?🤷♂️

I fixed it, not sure how. I simple logged off and back on and now it works? I'll also note that I was invite bugged (couldn't get invited or quick join a group) while this was happening. That's why I logged.
When in your leveling journey do you unlock all of the strongholds? I just finished mine, at level 74. I like to mix it up and not just do the same thing. I don't see many people mentioning them though. Many streamers are telling people to go straight to Helltides and then a Legion appears and it's not unlocked yet.
Another question I have is what level do I have to be to get Ancestral items from the Iron Wolves rep vendor? I waited until I got to T4, to get one of my unique rewards, and then the rewards ended up being sacred. I thought this must have been because I was only level 55. When I reach level 75, will all the rewards be Ancestral?
Read the rewards from the ironwolves, it's mostly sacred stuff until the final few rewards. So unfortunately, no need to save them.

The pvp area whispers are almost always the fastest. Maybe that's taking a risk on HC, but probably not as people are unlikely to bloodmark on hc.
I have a feeling the will probably either increase gold drop from sources, or decrease cost of this lol.
I think Blizzard deadly need to have a mid-season patch and give crazy amount of gold based on the lvl of the pit when completed on time.

I can’t even do whispers. My game is bugged and I can’t do whispers or turn them in. I’ve logged in and out. Done whisper missions etc. nothing. So screw me I guess.

The game was balanced well (gold) in the ptr, but it seems Blizzard thinks everybody has access to the game console and type the add gold command.
How is it possible to turn in whispers every 6 minutes when its cooldown is 1,5h. Complete whispers in 20 min then you have to wait 1h. Am i missing something. Also, caches brings 3m-5m gold + some items. Even i pick up every item on the way i cant get 25m per 30 mins.
I'm only level 93 kind of slow playing the season but I've been saving all my gold trying not to spend

I knew whispers were going to be an issue. Season 2-3 had really fast whispers in the open world, and since they got rid of them, its way harder to actually rush them. Hope they add some new Wolf season mechanic for gaining quick 5 whispers like previous seasons
I feel like running HT gives the most items, so just picking everything up and selling is the way to go.
They should give more gold the higher you go in pit as well. As it is, Pit gives practically 0 gold, like less than 1 item sell at the end....
Personally for me, the fastest gold method has been sitting on the Boss Fight in the Helltides and just sit there and stack legendary/uniques to sell for gold

Have you tired lowering your world tier? If you completed your whisper missions in another world tier, you have to be in that tier to turn it in.

If its like in last season after the endless crying and them tuning down how hardcore vaults were, the prices will go down a lot and mr blacksmith will punch us down with his hammer when we start leaving him 10 gold tips instead.

Make sure to pick the Chaos reward from the tree of whispers when it shows up. It rewards far more gold than any of the specific equipment options. Seems to be over double the amount of gold

I think the devs should revisit grim favors for dungeons to see how they can better apply that for people farming whispers in general and compare with the many ways people can play the game right now. I haven't been hitting the NM gym as much along my journey, and can't find an incentive for me to want to hit those grim favor dungeons at all even if they raised the grim favors to say 10. Perhaps they can find a way to reward players farming NM dungeons to award the grim favors there. How much they can go over that, but I think it would be potentially exciting enough so that no matter what path I take I still have a shot at those grim favors and don't miss out from the overworld experience where all of the grim favors are at right now.

It was only a bug for people completing a whisper track between 12-3AM. If you weren't playing during gremlin hours you didn't experience the bug. So for most people it works fine.

Maybe playing with friends makes this not as noticable, but I have 110m gold without any grinding, just oicking stuff up and selling as I play the game. All my gear is masterwork 4 or higher. Lots of quick gold comes from grinding boss mats, like 300k minimum and thats just a bonus when grinding for a chance at Ubers.
I’m not as high up, but the level 90 health pot was 7 million gold!!!! Was it that much before?

I've been sitting at blood maiden until I get around 1k cinders. Then do Helltide whispers. Open every gift (especially the cheap ones) except living steel. Sell any gear that isn't a required aspect/upgrade. When there's not a lot of time in helltide or any chests left I go and do the pvp whispers while keeping an eye on legion whispers. 2h yellows are nice to pick up if you have the room.
Would be nice if they scaled the whispers up. They're falling victim to feature creep. Would be nice if nightmare dungeons gave more gold too. And bring back vaults! On a slightly unrelated note I am absolutely sick of seeing life per second on every single reroll. Affix weighting needs to be looked at!

guys i need help.
I have that aspect that makes incinerate split into 3 beams and each one deals 78% of the damage. but then I got the same aspect but with 140%, and I thought that if I salvage the item back it would update the aspect to 140%, but it didn't. Am I missing something? im new to D4
Is the 140% on a staff ? If so it is actually only 70% and wouldn't update. That would be lower than the 78. It doubles when on staffs and any two handed weapons
Every aspect has a base value/range. Every slot has their own coefficient to that. You can think of every slot as 1x, amulets as 1.5x, and 2 handers as 2x. You probably saw that 140 on a 2 hander and tried comparing that to the 78% roll from another slot, but the 2hander aspect was actually a 70% roll at base, so it wasn't actually an upgrade to your codex. I hope that made sense? Good luck.

Another person mentioned it and it strung a chord with me. The biggest issue with D4 is MOMENTUM. The game is a fast endorphin rush of loot and power splurge yet its constantly being stalled by alot of useless momentum breaking busy work. Finish nightmare dungeons? Go back to town to sell. Why not jsut have a vendor appear at the end of a dungeon? Doing whispers? Have to run back at 10 just to hand in. Why not let us stack?? Full inventory and u want to sell well how about you click everything rather than a "sell all" button. Nightmare dungeon cleared? Well instead of just instantly teleporting to a new one you have to leave dungeon first. I could go on and
why would you stop farming the helltides bloodmaden and the chests drop ancestrals with greater afficxes like crazy...

Its annoying but I just pick up the yellows and sell them, haven't had a gold problem. I'm more annoyed at the lack.of scattered prisms and gem material, I'm 100 and still don't have a set of royal jewels.

Tree of Whispers is bugged for me for like 10 hours . Still no solution ...
Also I love how get gold is do whispers but right now the launcher says "We are currently investigating the issues related tot he Tree of Whisper Rewards" what a cluster fuck.
TLDR, do everything in your power to sell what you dont need the aspects from, complete whispers, also helltide for things to sell
they really need to copy last epoch's market, and put that in the game, its just so good to be able to search and sell items or buy items in last epoch

Another way to farm gold is just pick up everything and sell it if you dont need the mats you can get loke couple million gold that way in one nmd that does seem to help at least for me

Whispers reset ~90 but are available separately on each character you have. If you have multiple characters you can switch between them and farm whispers.
I dont believe the counters stack of though (one character can have 9/10 and another can have 1/10 ) so one thing to keep in mind.

IF they want us to farm whispers for gold, they either need to bump the base value of all options, OR offer a Chaos cache every time. Personally, I would be fine if they both increase the gold reward and keep it in Chaos caches, which get offered every time.
Season 2 blood harvest were the best whisper grinds. I made every character level 100 and had enough time to swap to each of them to run the same blood harvest with 15 min or less left before the event rotated. These helltide events giving 3 favors at most is a major let down. You could get a whisper cache each blood harvest event each rotation most of the time. Having 5 characters each getting a cache really added up. Funny thing is, none of these characters had to be level 100. I just enjoyed that season that much. This may just be me and I get it no one wants everything handed to them, but when it comes down to it, gold farming isn't very fun especially these whispers for how scarce they feel. We could have at least been given more favor events in the helltide to compensate the lack of seasonal theme. Just like blood harvest it is nice to have the occasional overlap of favor events during helltide but these don't seem to overlap as much as they could.
I was annoyed when I lit level 30 in the new season and couldn't get the healing potion upgrade without grinding gold.
I think they need to adjust the balance yet again, but this time with gold drops.
I also think we should not have to pay gold for healing potion upgrades. The potion upgrade is dumb. We should just have a percentage-based heal. One and done. Or, if they want upgradeable healing potions, make them interesting like PoE does.
They should give us more ways to passively gain gold for playing the endgame. Completion bonuses for Pit/NMDs should be buffed. And while they're at it... make greed shrines like 100x stronger since they don't do anything.
At the same time there are too many high gold sinks in the game. Maybe they could reduce gold costs from transmuting and masterworking since we have another currency for that anyway. Same with everything the jeweler does.
wtf?!? i did not know you can reset tempering!! so many good gear salvaged cuz i thought they were bricked. oh man.. could have saved some..
Id imagine tree whispers is the best way to farm gold. Do all the dungeons they give you five points any boss or legion event that's associated with them. Sell all the loot you have instead of scrapping it, then after all that's completed go do hell tight complete all the tree whisper events in there and sell everything you got. How to say that's probably the most efficient. Other than just running nightmare dungeons and scrapping all your items
I’ve made about 50 mill in a couple hours just farming the blood maiden and selling everything along with doing whispers so yeah I’d say probably the best option. Do you know what they meant by the issue with whisper rewards? I wasn’t sure what it meant
@@bizmirc totally forgot about the blood maiden lol,should give that a go. Also not sure on that one. I haven't had any issue or glitch that I know of just invisible walls lol. If I had to randomly guess baby it's not giving out greater chaos caches. I haven't seen a single one yet and I've done like 25 whispers. But I have no clue
