Hey man, I remember I bought this follow focus together with the Neewer rod baseplate last year for my own birthday. It's totally fine, especially for the price. I used office clips or hair clips as hard stops. They do the job, but you can't turn the focus too forcefully. Other than that, interesting to see how your cinema rig evolves 😁

Me, looking at my pile of scuffed equipment not relating
I have the follow focus, but I don't have the rodclamps and the arm to fix it on. Is there a place where I could buy the rodclamps and arm that fit this follow focus ?
I bought most of my camera gear off Amazon but I've been to a few camera shops that carry the 15mm rods. Usually it's the Smallrig brand but any brand will do as long as they're 15mm. Thanks for watching!
@@scottdionbrown Thanks for your answer ! I've seen the Rodclamps from Smallrig. Unfortunately, I don't seem to find the flexible L shaped arm that you fix on the rodclamps and that's where you put the follow focus knob in to fix it
@@benigsen5539 Oh I see. Ya the L shaped piece came with the follow focus when I purchased it. I'm not sure where you could find it on its own. You could maybe craft something using an L bracket from the hardware store. I hope it works out!
I do have a problem with this item : the follow focus keeps sliding and is very unstable on the 15mm rods where I mounted it... do you know a way to fix that ? Thank you
Hello thanks for watching! It took me awhile to find the best mounting spot for mine on the camera. I didn't find it was sliding around on the rods though. I think just make sure that the knob in the middle is as tight as possible. If it can't tighten anymore, you could try adding a bit of rubber in between the rods and the mounting hardware. Maybe a piece of elastic band to provide more friction. I didn't really have a problem once it was tightened though. Thanks again!
