    These instructions worked great for me. I'll just add a couple of comments about the tools: if you're doing this procedure, WD-40 spray the screws and bolts to help prevent stripping / breaking them. For the 3 child-safety-lock screws, use a PH2 screwdriver, for all the others, use a PH1. Finally, a telescopic magnet may be helpful as well. Thanks!

      I had to do both rear doors on mine and stripped the screw because I missed this comment. 😢
      I fixed it with one of those screw extractors but damn it added a ton of time to my job.

    Thank you for taking the time to record this video! I followed the video and replace the driver side rear door handle on my daughters 2002 Accord. It would have taken me hours longer if I didn't watch your video first. It also saved me a lot of money! Thanks again.

      @@gamerghost9281 The handle has a piece on the back of it that when you pull up it pushes down on a piece that is attached to the lock and opens the door.....you do not need to connect it to anything if you install it in the right place it will push down on the outside lock which is what he loosened and called it the child lock.

    You can remove that snap better by pressing on the metal piece up that holds it and it will release it better.

      For those you don't use a regular size screw driver. U use a bigger size. I think it's a size 3. The point is not pointy but flat. If it's still to tight I used it with a socket wrench.

    The child's lock. If anyone has trouble the pulling out the screws on that use a bigger size bit. A regular screw driver size won't work. At least not for the bottom screw. If it's still too tight place the bit on your socket wrench.
    I was at the junkyard and every bottom screw was too tight.

    I followed your instructions to a T, and now i cannot open my door at all. Any suggestions?

    • @BayerVideo
      @BayerVideo  Před 5 lety

      Hmm, could be several things. Maybe the white plastic rod panel is not correctly positioned, blocking the rods from moving, or the metal bracket connected to the handle is not positioned correctly. I would look for obstructions such as these in the door that aren't allowing the handle to properly release the door. However, if everything still seems fine, you may have a problem deeper in the door, maybe the latch that releases the door, your locks, or there may just be a jam somewhere along the way. Hope this helps

      EZ to follow video. On the arm rest assembly removal you say be sure “to hold down the button ” … ? is that the up/down window control button? I have a 2002 Accord EX V-6 … I’m not sure if it’s the same to disconnect the wire assembly, could you help me please?
