Forming Eu4 ireland or eu4 scotland into eu4 great britain can be amazing when you do it as eu4 england in the eu4 1.31 leviathan update. Burgundian inheritance in eu4 is cool too

Just want to say you can crash england completely before 1450 with france:
I do so in every run:
> Get access for army and fleet to scotland
> Move all armys from Europe to scotland
> Reconquest on England, Vassels will do portugese and england
> You finish england on their island
> Take the fort next to scotland and pale for further wars
If you arn't allied to scotland, they will mostly declare a separate war on england if they doesn't have army and ally anymore, so they get maybe bancrupty in earlygame too.
All of the French events really add to the power of the nation, getting random boosts of mana is amazing.
No matter how many patches or nerfs , france will still be OP as hell
Based and historical xd
Yeah it's one of those countries where you can easily become a 2000+dev empire before year 1600.
@@Hugodenbeste one of those couple dozens of countries :D
France is the type of nation that wins every land battle
What if they fight against Prussia?
Or the Otto horde
Unless Prussia forms
@@Scott-yl5gi found that the ottomans fall off hard around 1600
Unless you fight ottos
Personally as France in that war against England I'd take Ceuta from Portugal, it gets you on two continents for the age bonus
That is actually a smart idea! As long you can across the the sea with no issue. Then you can claim the two wonders near that province.
I do that too, after that i take Morocco and tunis, rly nice for trade
Easier said than done
Cueta is a fort which means you need to siege it down to take it
And since it's a cross a straight, you need naval supremecy
And since ur fighting the combined English- Portuguese fleets you gotta be extremely lucky for this.
Bring on the BBB video 👍👍
France is my favourite major nation. So much fun & flavour right from start. 🍾🥂🇫🇷
I think changing it to a BBB run would be really fun! This has mainly been a guide and Top 10 channel so a challenge would be fun!
Surprise update of 1.31.3 France with my morning coffee 👍
Morning Meglok ^^
@@LudietHistoria and yes, go for the BBB achievement.
Continuing this would be awesome
There must be a pile of plutonium under the French throne in this run
nice guide like always
Glad you like them!
Love it! - you plan a simple starting guide, everything sort of goes haywire, and you end up totally dominant anyway. France is France! I also agree about the massively LESS effective Innovative idea set. France will not have time for boutique Ideas. And for newer players? DON'T take Defensive - avoid mindless stacking! France's NIs give you like 3 full bulbs in Defensive anyway. Have fun always winning, lol!
Thanks for watching classic life! And so true man on the ideas!
@@LudietHistoria LOve your vids, man!
GORGEOUS
Hey man ! I would love BBB guide! But something im looking forward to is a HRE vassle playthru/guide! :D like bavaria or brandenburg! =))
Liked and subscribed. Comment for the algorithm Gods. Thanks Ludi.
Thank you so much for liking and taking the time to comment Benji, I really appreciate it!
Good video
You didnt even see the video
I was thinking that also, the man has faith in me :D
BBB guide would be awesome!
Broken et Historia
Go for part 2! :D
Yes part 2 pls
Yes do part 2
well u could have just went to the return core interface and you could have taken the Land that got occupied by Provence to, since France has 1444 a core on the province.
Haha didn’t even think of that when watching it
Provence has too
I was just started a France game 3 hours ago. What a coincidence... :D
Voting for part 2!
I don't play France a lot, but love the blue color. A BBB achievement guide would be outstanding, thanks!
Loved your Scottish Provence pronunciation 😂
it's 100% absolutely and this is true .... bad xD
CAEN as Cayenne Pepper...
inovative+ quality grants a great policy
Vive la liberté!
Only reason I ever go Innovative is for that sexy siege ability with Offensive ideas.
Innovative is also good because its funny to have 100 innovativeness before 1500.
I would take Cueta from Portugal for foothold in Africa and try cut Castille off, + Azores as well for the colonial range, if there is no fortress I don't think its neccessary to occupy it so need to worry about English and Portuguese navy.
Hi Ludi, I am doing a Roman Empire run with france. Actually I had a completely different Idea Set (now I am at the last 20 years of the XV cent.):
1) influence (vassal swarm, i was extremely lucky and i got a PU with Castille then restoration CB against Naples so now both are my junior partners)
2) religious ( i know humanist is better suited for France due to the sinergy but i will go protestant so Deus Vult means free estate and also -25 culture conversion and diplo annex big reduction)
3) still don't know yet. Admin would be perfect for blobbing (governing capacity) but also economic means I will grow fat
4) 100% one between offensive and quality (if i have the chance to destroy england i will go offensive, if england is still alive at the time quality)
About colonization, I don't care: Castille will do it for me and I will vassalize portugal so I will get a second colonizer for free
What do you think guys?
Looking forward to part 2.
Instead of the surrender of Maine, you take everything but Maine. 4D chess.
I'd like to see the BBB run
Hey Ludi
Thanks for your work! When you do the Castile guide, can you tell us strategies about how to colonies? Best wishes!
Will do bro!
@@LudietHistoria Thanks very kind! Best wishes from switzerland!
@@chipmunk2556 my pleasure bro, thanks for watching!
Don't colonise actually. Your pu Portugal will do all the dirty work for you. One suggestion I have while playing Castile is taking innovativeness as your first idea, something I always do with Castile
Please do the big blue blob that would be cool
nice videos pls do a zoroastian persian guide too
Please, make a guide for Byzantium 1.30 or 1.31
Have a Guide for Byzantium 1.30, and one for 1.31 coming soon!
@@LudietHistoria i cant find 1.30 guide, can you give a link?
@@icvltn czcams.com/video/ot-rJm-R8Ts/video.html
Get it. Maine, main targer.
Yay for a BBB guide.
updated version out and part 2 coming also
I'd love to see you do a force PU as England in 1.31. I guess I'm just trash lol.
Paradox : Just Patch some Bug
Ludi : Exploit Target
exploits go brrr
Part 2!
I'm at the same date as you finish your first war and I can barely siege down Lisboa (it's been like -28 and over a year of sieging, even with the +3 siege pip general). Not to mention Scotland peaced out with England very quickly and my soldiers are getting wasted by these guys. You make it look so easy but god trying to replicate even a half-assed job of what you do is not simple.
Also, I only took like a third of the provinces that Ludi took by 1460 and I know he had a "coalition" formed but I'm already up to coalitions with England, Brittany, Burgundy, Savoy, Milan, and a bunch of west German minors - I could only take Anjou from Provence without getting coalition from all of north Italy as well.
I've been trying BBB for like 9 or 10 runs but i always get destroyed by the danish's fleet which prevent me from landing on their country and i struggle a lot with the AE if i do not land in norway so i would really enjoy a guide !!
Really nice video by the way as usual !
Ludi I have a question. In my game at peace treaties I can't force vassalize other nations at 1.3.1.2 update. Can u explain how did u did that to Ormond??
What do you think about vassalize Naffaroa for trying P.U with Aragon ?
Yes give us a BBB guide
I'm here for BBB!
yes BBB guid
Yes do a bbb guide
Yea I definitely need a triple B blob
I don't know what im doing wrong, but i just got a gigantic coalition
Edit
Okay so i tried again, and i nearly immideatly got a pu over Aragon. WTF never been this lucky before
Edit 2
So yeah, i got too gready and got a new coalition. The war goal is to strip me from my title, and make aragon independet. I have killed 130000 of the enemies, but i cant keep it up anymore, and i have decided to try a new game. Its a great guide, especially for a non pro player like me. Thanks Ludi!
MAKE PART 2 PLS BRO
You have a core on Maine didnt you? I think you still could just return the province? Or has Provence a core on maine? Just saying this because i had a similair situation where an ally captured Land I was interested and had a core on.
They have a core on maine also unfortunately :(
Damn first time I’ve been this early
chads are early
@@LudietHistoria hell yeah, also do the blob lol
Please Big Blue Blob achievement guide!
Coming soon!
burgundy guide pls
Hey I'm following your guide and still struggling with my economy any tips? (I don't have leviathan so can't concentrate dev)
Go quantity and then economics, dont blob too much, just dev as soon as you finish economic ideas. And aim for the Genoa trade node
Same, I followed the guide aswell and needed to declare bankruptcy in 1472 :(
Hi guys, is this just 1.31 or does it include the Leviathan dlc?
Hi, Ludi. Is there a situation where you would recomend innovative ideas as a starter, or just in first three slots? Thx. (I am kind of innovative ideas starter addict XD)
Honestly man I would never recommend it, it has small benefits at the start, but in the long run it is not as great as taking economic first. If you're going for a short game, that ends mid 1550s or 1600 then yeah Innovative can be good, but otherwise there's no point to it. There are some countries though, such as Bohemia that can stack modifiers and get almost free advisors, but like I said in the video, advisor cost is not as important as a strong economy. 3xlevel 5 advisors at full cost around 1600 say cost 180 ducats, but the economic and its policies give you 400-500 ducats, so 180 ducats is nothing by comparison. That being said, innovative can bring those 3 lvl 5 advisors to almost 10 ducats, but your economy wont be 400-500 ducats, but a lot less. Alternatively taking innovative and economic after as a 4th or 5th idea set means u would fall behind in economy/dev in the 1550/1600s.
Fair point. Seems like inno starter would be death sentence in multiplayer. Thx
In MP absolutely no(kinda obvious) but in single player sometime i take it first. I did it as france, cheaper advisors, innovativeness and tech cost are great, you will end up paying 3 ducats for level 5 advisors and take a tech with 200 mana in 1700.
But all the time it's better to start with Quantity(manpower is quite an issue early game) and then economic to get the cheaper Dev. I never play colonial as france, a waste and unfunny
Man that L'etat c'est moi mission is a pain, how do you get around having that low authonomy in the Age of Absolutism as an expansionist France?
How long do you keep the estate monopolies for?
Renew them every 10 years up until the 1550s
how about an ibadi-omani-mughals?
is france not able to get pu over burgundy anymore? Tried 6 runs and burgundy always get an heir since 1.31.4 like 6 real runs
I am following the guide, but have massive economy problems. Have you done some small things, you didnt put in the video or am I just bad?
Why concentrate dev from your vassals? You're going to get that dev soon enough anyway? or does reducing diplo cost or annexing push it over into worth territory?
It reduces the diplo cost to annex, same as concentrating dev in a new provinces reduces your admin costs to core.
Imagone being one of those losers who dislike this amazing video...
The English disliked the video.
I would like to see big blue blob
do it, just do it :D
Still waiting for the big blue blob achivment
Why not dissolve Provence alliance as eventually you will attack them as they often get excommunicate. Also they cost you 1 diplo mana per month too.
Doesn't using concentrate on your vassals also decrease Dip annex cost? since less Dev
Yes, It does
BBB part 2 pls
Dang, started a BBB run last night. Sound have waited! But got Castile as a PU and Savoy also got excommunicated. 2 coalitions thus far though, since I didn't have your guide yet.
BBB is one of the most fun runs, enjoy it bro!
Do the blooob
Yes we would love to see big blue blob!
Continental France run pls
I normally go Innovative, mainly for the tech cost reduction of max innovation, plus the tech cost reduction in the ideas, with france's tech cost NI, means tech is super cheap.
Why don't u go for admin / influence ideas? Do I need them for a French WC?
You pretty much always need admin for any world conquest. Influence is less necessary but also helpful if you're going that route. I don't think Ludi's guides are really tailored toward WC though, they're mostly about quickly consolidating power in the early game and becoming a dominate regional power.
I'd say that if you really want to WC as France you're best bet is to no cb Byzantium before the Ottos declare war on them, vassalize them, and then feed them back their cores by 1500. Ottomans and the HRE are your only roadblocks to WC and knocking one of them out early is a huge help. It also lets you juggle taking Muslim and Christian lands for most of the game which helps AE significantly. Go Humanist as well, it's broken with France's final idea.
Yes BBB... when you can.
Can't we return our cores to ourselfs in peace deal. If we can you have core on Maine as France.
Najd achivement guide please
Big Blue Blob!
Quick tip: Provence starts with the de Valois dynasty (I believe), so you coulda given them Maine, and then claimed their heir for a PU over Provence and Lorraine for essentially no AE
Please do Castile
Followed this guide and managed to get a PU over castile in 1456, solid guide
Big blue blob brah
Would love to see Big Blue Blob achievement run!
Why does ludi never seem to worry about low crownland?
Don’t you ally with Aragon? When should you break your alliance with them?
дуже подобається!
Do a bbb run
Can you explain what youd have done had scotland joined the first war plz?
If your leader doesnt die and u declare by december 11th they always agree to join. My leader died :(
Just to make You remember, You've said, that the next game will be EU V.
Clearly I am really bad at this game. 3 attempts and i lose the war against England/Portugal everytime. I can siege down my cores no prob but just had 20k get stackwiped in portugal cause Castile closed mil access.
Be the big blue blob
I always seem to get stuck in a debt spiral as France. Everything else goes fine but my economy just can't handle the army costs.
Here's what u do. Take money from your enemies and lower autonomy. Also, use the burger loans!
Hey Ludi are you using any other mods than the classic DLC of Eu4 ?
Love your channel please continue to do good content
I use a ton of mods, love so many mods actually, especially overhaul ones! I will cover mods too soon!
Cause the French army skin is sick
@@theob2163 yeah i love their sprite also ^^
