I just bought a 2013 GMC 2500 paid 15k with 190k miles with CNG. I'm loving the CNG for my lawncare it's 1.40 a gallon and last as long as gas and the engine runs clean. I don't think I would go back to gas it still has gas if I want to use it but I try not to.

This is called economy of scale! They do so much business with there vendors they get great deals, and vendors prioritize getting it quickly.
I love the move fast mindset but for me working with a $7700 budget to get a truck, ramp, paint and decals I’ve have to do a lot of work finding the right deals. It will pay off in the future when I start to build similar relationships.

You know everyone is different Man... I totally agree it's not fair to charge that particular customer... Although it sucks it's really one of 2 decisions if you want to continue to deal with the struggle of that situation keep it... Me personally if I had other options or customers o could replace that revenue with I'd go elsewhere... Trust your Gut Bro... Keep up the good work man... hope you figure it out... ✌️

We have been using s10's for 16 years, i replaced the beds with ones i built simular to cityturff! I can tell you we have mowed over 300k mows! Bells and whistles do not make you money! I have never understood why someone would spend $100k and show up to mow a $45 lawn! I can spend $20k all in and mow 20 $45 a day! You can make this as hard as you want
what truck/equipment would you recommend for a small solo operation getting started?
@D H we are moving Into 1/2 ton full size trucks, we have ran 36 standers from john deere for years now! I don't care what color your mower is, find a dealer that is on your team! 36 sanders work great! Echo 2620t trimmer and a echo blower! The Office is where the money's made
Love the video! I have a maaco close by and have been wanting to get my truck painted but I want to know what kind of paint do you ugys ask for? They quoted me over $1,500 for paint so it'd be nice to know how to get it for $500.

Are you still putting door hangers out this time of year? It seems like they would be less effective since people already have their company set up for the season
Yes, we will likely keep putting them out all summer. My three reasons why….
1. It gets very hot during the summer and some home owners will throw in the towel on doing it themselves.
2. Lots of other companies get behind during this time due to labor issues and large work loads. So it’s a great time to pick up clients that interested in switching. Especially when you do instant quotes and they are able to compare the price to their current provider.
3. In NC we have a lot of warm season lawns that have only just kicked off their growing season.
@@Notmuchhutch put out about 50 in the neighborhoods we do in the last 3 days and got 3 calls with 2 converted to biweekly and possibly one more (but somebody mowed her lawn like two hours after she called us and she says she's not sure who) lmao

My Honda hrn 216 just cost me 1,011.00 from our local dealer.
A garbage bin like that with those rakes & shovels I’d be looking more in the high 3s , low 4s , I checked our macco to see what paint would cost they quote me almost 4,000.00 just to spray the exterior.
I’d say up north they’re little harder on us with pricing. Lol
they did mention how they use those space places for multiple of their locations in that area, so they most likely get better pricing for bringing all of their business directly to them.

Run 54" and a 30" (54" scag patriot) (30" pushmower) you'll be able to do most yards and for the small ones just use the 30"

Im trying to start a small lawncare business. Just curious, where and how do you guys take your clippings from a job? Do you just put the clippings in the back of your trucks?
In our area we mulch the clippings. But many other locations take 3-4 50 gallon trash cans to collect clippings in then dispose of them like the rest of their green waste!
I'm not sure what area of the country you're in but if you're in the midwest or Northeast you should really convince your customers that mulching the lawn clippings back into the lawn is highly beneficial for their existing grass it provides a good layer of nitrogen during the vegetative breakdown cycle that grass desperately needs to support itself especially during the summer months. It is important that you convince your clients what is the best for their lawn regardless of what they may consider aesthetically pleasing. You shouldn't be removing clippings from any job site unless it is an attempt to prevent seed germination..

I could have sworn y’all didn’t have enough for payroll recently.. idk if you should be doing this. I’ve never had to stress about payroll for my company, and I didn’t have a franchise to start with… good luck though and keep up the hustle.
It's important to take note for future franchise owners that their business model only allows for profit when buying the cheapest trucks and tools available. Landscaping is a long term game, and when you want to have quality workers that will give you peace of mind they will not stick around with a residential mower or trucks that might not start. This is ok for no experience no expectation start offs but at some point you need to step it up or keep competing on the $25 mow only jobs.
$9,000 mower and $13,500 truck isn’t the cheapest. It is however the most economical sense
