Well done video. After watching other videos on Phonak Infinio I was not clear on the “sphere” as being an option! You clarified that very well! I’m subscribed! Thank you
My pair of the Spheres will be here this week. Trading my Audéo L90’s in on these. I’m so looking forward to better speech comprehension in noisy environments. I work in a High School and when I get into the cafeteria with 1000 + teenagers, it’s challenging to hear people two arm lengths away. I’m not expecting a transcending experience but, hopefully, much better speech comprehension.
Yes, these devices would be great for that kind of setting. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that the more occluded you are with these devices the better the noise reduction will work. Make sure you check with your hearing care provider to see what the most occluded coupling works best for your hearing loss.
Great video and update, thank you. Phonak has released the next generation of HA technology but the noted challenges are increased size and battery life to support the sphere AI chipset. Hopefully as this technology matures in second gen we will see a size reduction and power reduction. However, Great news for all HA users as the tech progresses
Currently have the Lumity Naida L90s. I'm hoping for a disposable battery version with telecoil in the future, though I am happy enough with my current ones.🙏
Hi Michael, Can I just ask a personal question. Do you suffer hearing loss yourself. I often wonder if audiologists with 20/20 hearing can get the same perception of hearing aid performance. I have a profound high frequency loss, so speech in noise is particularly difficult. I live in UK and these new Sphere aids have not yet launched here, but on basis of reviews such as yours I have preordered from my hearing care provider
I do not however, you are in a sense correct. People with a higher degree of hearing loss and auditory deprivation won’t always benefit from hearing aid performance as well as somebody with a very little degree of hearing loss and auditory deprivation.
I have personally not had the chance to try them or fit them as of yet however, I have heard from other providers that in terms of background noise reduction and speech processing the Phonak Spheres performs better according to patients.
I have been told of a charging problem with the Audeo Sphere. It has to do with the two chips interfering with each other whilst charging, causing one unit to turn off and not charge. An occasional problem. has this problem been rectified?
Great question! No you do not. If you are in an environment that exceeds over 69db the hearing aid's will automatically switch to the Spheric speech in noise program. Your provider would need to add that program for you to change to the program manually. Also, that program does require much more power so it will drain the battery faster. The myPhonak app will tell you roughly how many hours of battery life you have when you are in the Spheric program.
So the Sphere with the dual chips is definitely the option to consider for someone who frequently is in noisy environments. But for a retired person mostly needing speech clarity around the mostly-quiet home will the Infinio model without Sphere be a good cost-effective choice?
Price will always vary on location, level of technology, and how the providers services work. If your provider has very competitive pricing you could be quoted around the $4,000 range but on the other hand I wouldn’t be surprised if you were quoted $7,000.
Thank you everyone for watching! More videos coming soon. Please let me know what you would like to see in my future videos.

About to get my first hearing aids in a couple of months. Thanks for this review!

@@AMHCHearing Thanks for the feedback. I will ask her on Thursday.
I can't wait to try these.

When you were testing them, what type of dome were you wearing? Open, closed, or custom? Thank you for the review.
I was testing them with a Vented Phonak Dome. The noise reduction does not work very well with an open dome.
can you tell me the retail cost of the new hearing aids. Thankyou! 👍
It will vary depending where you live.
Hi. Do you think they are better than the Oticon Intent 1 ?

@@IanWard-fv2wv I have not run into that issue and have not heard anything about this happening. I will keep an eye out.
Good video. Do you have to use the MyPhonak app or push the HA button to get the sphere advantage? Also does that reduce the battery life? Thanks

Absolutely!
Hi what is the cost of these devices regards Mark
I did answer that in another comment. Thank you for the comment!
Any knowledge how much the two different Phonac hearing aids cost?
Vast difference in prices depending on state, city, level of technology, and company.
Will Phonak be making these for Costco? What price range are they in?
Rich
Phonak at this time will no longer be supplying hearing aids for Costco.
No. Costco and Phonak are no longer partners plus Phonak would not make money if Costco sold them.
Do these also solve the issue of wind noise when walking outdoors
@@kevinallwood2730 Wind block seems to help quite a bit and was not an issue in my experience however, wind is still noticeable.
4:41 if hearing aids AI is so smart to mute unwanted sounds, how will I hear my wife?
Can you use custom ear molds with these and if so will they fit in the charger?
Cshells can just fine. Anything bigger like a skeleton lock or a helix lock I’m not to sure but will be a tight fit.
Can i have the price. ?
