Plummer was one of the very few screen actors who never left the theater. In fact he did many of the classical stage roles while doing many films. He did MacBeth twice, Hamlet twice, Iago and King Lear. One of the most talented actors on his generation.
If I had direct films from 2005 to now, one of the films I would've made was an action comedy in 2013 about a group of old soldier, spies from the 50s and 60s reuniting with one another to take down one of their old enemies who's in charge of a Business Company where he's secretly selling weapons to other nations. And the only way to infiltrate it is to have one of the guys grandson who works there to help them out 😊.
And the older actors in the film playing the main older spies would be played by, Christopher Plummer, James Earl Jones, Ed Asner, and James Hong. While the main villain is played by Malcolm McDowell. With supporting roles played by Keith David, David Warner, and Peter Stormare 👏 😊.
One in a Billion talent.... SO MISSED!!!!!
This is a great documentary to celebrate his life work. I wish I could have seen him on stage. RIP Mr. Plummer and thank you for your gifts.
I feel the same about not having seen him on stage. I did however, very much enjoy all his roles in film I have seen!!!

Oh come on 2021, now you took this man?!?! 😟😲😢 Too soon ... I know, Plummer reached a high age, but
it wasn't even a stroke or a heart failure or the bloody Covid virus - He just hurt his head badly in a fall. 😟 What a loss! I admired him so much on- and off screen, among many other aspects, for that remarkable physical and mental constitution, which allowed him to still promote three fantastic movies in 2019/20. Well, at least this legend went out with a big hit (and I'm sure his real family handles his last will with much more dignity and gratefulness than his on-screen family in Knives Out). Rest in peace, Sir! And condolences from Germany to his loved ones. 🕊️👏🏻💛

Loved him for years...so glad his talents showed in the end if his life. I saw him on stage in 2007 in Inherit the Wind. I was on stage as part of the jury. Absolutely amazing!
