Superb , i found a female fledgling, fell out of nest , too early to fly , my wife & i hand fed it live meal worms & sugar /water mix ....its now about 1 month old , fllying around cage , picking of fruit flies that venture in , she has hunting skills now , just hoping her friends pay her a visit soon and we can open cage , let her enjoy nature

Today i rescued a sunbird fallen from nest below pomegranate tree.
I put coconut husk inside cardboard and placed it below the tree where the nest is and i see his parents visiting it.
But its raining now so i keep card board box inside when it rains. And i also feed it with watermelon juice with dispovan and it drinks it and loves it.
Any inputs on what i should do? And i tried feeding it with insects with tweezers and found it difficult to put it inside its mouth and sticked to watermelon juice.

I just found three but I don't have a cage to train them. I have only fed them honey with water since I have had them few hours now.. What kind of insects can I feed them? They can barely fly but they are strong enough to launch out so I keep them in a box with grass trying to replicate nest. I want to release them to their parents but since I accidentally scared them out of their nest they didn't want to stay, so I kept them or they would have been eaten by cats or birds of prey. I plan to grind up strawberry and a little honey thinly and feed them . Do I use a syringe to insert into their mouth or wait patiently until they have it themselves?

Hi, i found a baby sunbird nest drop on the ground left alone, i try to feed it with meal worms since already 4 days, and today it seems not so active and hungry, should i force feed it?

Hai i have 2 sunbird in the nest however one had drop. there isn't any space in the nest so i put the bird near to the nest. when i came bk the one that is inside the nest had already fly off. but the other one is still there. will the mom come bk and feed ?

A purple sunbird came into my balcony and started building a nest. But after 3 days of making the nest, the bird is no where to be seen. Now it’s 3 days since the bird had not been seen. I have been drying my clothes on the wires and it didn’t seem to mind, even though we were very close to the nest, I minded it’s own business and was never bothered by us. Today we just saw it and we found it sitting inside. Is there anything we can do to help the bird?

@@sOhAmsnakefreak ok. Thank you for the reply. There were two sunbirds in my balcony. One bird has fallen from the nest. The mother bird is feeding the baby. It's 2 days since. The leg is injured. I called a local rescue centre and send a photo. They told me the baby is born with a deformed leg and could not survive longer. It's all depends on the mother bird how she can the train the baby. The baby bird is looking very helpless.

@@jagruknagrik1690 yes. The mother bird and the father bird came to feed the baby and kept a close watch. I think they were giving training also for flying.Next to next day the bird flew away.
