    Minor error in the video: The Larry Bird game was in New Orleans. Teams used to play at an "alternate" home site like this a lot back in the day (Hawks played like a dozen home games there in 1985).

      What a neat factoid! I want to know more about this, like when it started, ended, and how these sites were chosen, etc. I wonder what impact that had on building the league’s popularity, since it might have been easier to go to your favorite team’s game at a site closer to home, even if the occasion was rare.

      @Gibran Camus limited game time would be a disadvantage for a developing player, not a seasoned vet with a championship under his belt. kyrie having more rest than every starter and most bench players on every other team is a huge advantage for him. doesn’t diminish this performance, but don’t pretend like he didn’t have an edge by having more rested legs than most other players. that’s why teams having back-to-back games is a disadvantage for them. by your logic, a team with back-to-backs has the advantage because they’re playing more frequently and are getting more game time while the other team is resting.

    I'm sure it was a business decision also seeing as he has to play at home by himself... But man.
    Now The question is; When teams are doubling Kyrie, most likely off Ben Simmons, What position will Ben be playing. If he's the 4 and your doubling with pg/sg & pf , that paint looks mighty open. And if kd is playing the five, at that point, I'm sure you could land a plane in that lane.

      Later in his career he became a clutch and deadly 3pt shooter.
      Ppl with the gift of passing like Ben and kidd, tend not to shoot because they understand patience and the concept of getting the best shot.
      Sometimes the best shot is that guy flying down court before the defense. Sometimes it's just to dump it in to the big, sometimes it's hit the guy in the corner , but usually if i cant get my team an easy bucket the lay up is the 2nd highest percentage shot.
      I maintain that Ben Simmons can shoot and is most likely going to be really effective at it because a part of being a good shooter and player in general is shot selection. Ben does not like talking bad shots.

    Second best point guard in the League behind Steph… Kyrie been a walking 🚶 bucket 🪣 since the beginning… He can dribble thru NYC traffic with ease, I know it’s other guards in the League that are unstoppable also. Love Ja & Luka but Kyrie been on another level, hopefully NYC will let Him play home games soon

    • @javigar133
      @javigar133 Před 2 lety +1

      I disagree, best shooting guards, may be, but neither is a true point guard. And besides, they can go off, yes, but they are not anywhere as consistent as Luka. Look at points created and impact and Luka is the best PG in the league period. Dont argue, it's pointless
