Checking in with Fuyao Glass America 4 Years After "American Factory" on Netflix

- The 2019 documentary American Factory introduced Fuyao Glass to the Western world, following the construction of the first Fuyao Glass America factory. It proved the company to be both a saviour to industrialized Ohio and the failed General Motors plant but, at least partially, as ruthless if not more than its competitors. 4 years later, we examine the state of the union that was addressed and thwarted in the documentary, as well as the success of the company by financial, quality control, and ethical standards.
In the documentary one thing i find strange is the management have separate meetings with chinese and american workers. And the content of the meetings are completely different.
You cant treat the Americans the same as the Chinese. The American will rebel and cry freedom and tantrum.
Yeah the Chinese meeting were basically about how shit the Americans were and how nationalistic and obeying the Chinese was

They were raided by homeland security yesterday 7-27-2024. According to reports it was raided for labor and financial crimes. They also raided 27 other locations including private homes.
yeah i just read up on that and it was homeland security investigating another company that Fuyao hired to fill employment quotas.
