Not sure what the quality of mic comes with that bundle, but the Evo 4 itself is fantastic. I would suggest buying the interface and shopping around for the mic and a good set of cans. Smartgain is surprisingly accurate...always very close to where I would set my levels. The build quality is just fine if you aren't planning on throwing your interface around. Mine sits on my desk next to my laptop. Excellent interface.

tomorrow is my 21st birthday and right now i am listening though a akg k92 , connected to a evo 4 and that lets me connect to a p120 and i got some nice cables and pop filters too , i couldnt wait for this review just ordered yesterday and got it set up today the most impressive thing is how the low latency got me considerably better playability when playing my digital piano connceted through midi

According to interface tester Julian Krause, the impedance for headphones in Evo 4 (or 8) should start... at 150 ohms. The Evo Headphones are 32. They look like the cheapest Audio Technica phones relabeled.

I own an Evo 4 (along with a Moto M2, Scarlette 2i2 3rd and Shure Mvi) and the audio quality is superb for the price (and even beyond it a bit). It's a pain in the ass with condenser mics. I will throw this out as a concurring opinion: sometimes the cheapskate spends the most. $99 can buy some decent mics. The SM58 may have lower output but it will last a lifetime.

I bought my Koss pro/4aa headphones in 1972. When they fell apart 4 years ago Koss sent me a new pair. Buy quality well made stuff, it will save you money in the end.

Great review brudda! Wish I’d of saw this before getting it, just so I could’ve tried piecing it together. I do have a question about EQing, all I’ve been able to find is voicemeeter tutorials for mics such as AT2020 and blue yeti. Any tips on where and how to eq?… I’m a vocal musician (rap) along with a streamer/gamer, so tryna eq and enhance the quality aside stock sound would be hella helpful. Thank you btw 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙂

    Good day,
I am having trouble getting the Evo 4 audio interface recognized by my computer. I have tried downgrading Windows 10 from version 22H2 to 21H1, and I have tested it on three different computers (Windows 11 and 10), but I still can't get the Evo 4 to be recognized by any of them. I have explored every possible solution, including BIOS settings, and have tried various driver versions. Despite all this, the Evo 4 audio interface is still not being recognized by the computers. If you have encountered a similar issue, could you please help me?

Can I ask a really silly question? You're using your mic to record the audio, which sounds great but how are you filming the video? I use my mic to do voice overs but I want to make a video of myself like you're doing. Maybe you can show how this works? Yesterday I filmed myself using my iPhone for the video and used my mic for the audio and had to sync the two in Premiere. I know this isn't the correct, efficient way:)

    • @DarkCornerStudios
      @DarkCornerStudios  Před 2 lety +2

      That's exactly what I do.
I record audio from the camera at the same time...sync...then delete the camera audio.

@@MarkandSandieInMotion it seems like a pain at first...but it becomes a pretty straight forward process after a time.
Also...there are ways to record into a device then that goes straight into a camera.
At lower price points though you do generally sacrifice some quality.
My Audiofuse Studio is much better at it than those options.

Hmm. Well I was thinking of going with this bundle but after watching some of your other reviews I pieced together a setup at a comparable price point $260 vs $250. Can you give me your thoughts if this would be a better bundle than the EVO?
AKG P120 Microphone with Knox Gear Boom Arm, Pop Filter and XLR Cable Bundle = $114
    Arturia Minifuse 1 = $99
    Audio-Technica ATH-M20X = $49
