      Yo brother. Try researching my channel. I made that video almost two years ago. A lot has changed since then. The videos have changed and so has Jscan. I made a more recent video last year where the only music is the intro and the rest of the video has no music at all. The video is also more in depth on how to connect and use Jscan. I'll give you the link so you don't have to trouble yourself searching. And no mixtape. Link: czcams.com/video/43bmuAN_GM8/video.html

      @@richarddiaz8248 I've been using jscan for four years. And since I've been using it, I've learned that it doesn't reset any adjustments that were already made. It just resets to make sure the new settings are saved.
      For example, mine is set for 5.38 gears, 37" tires, tpms - 15psi, and aftermarket turn signals. If I go to 40" tires and adjust for the 40s, it won't change the settings that are already in there for the 5.38 gears, tpms, and turn signals. Or anything else that I've changed. Is this just one set of extension cables you're using? I've tried unplugging mine, but both the male and female ends feel pretty stuck up in there, and I don't feel much slack at all on either of them. Unless both ends move, it seems like the extensions would just create slack on one side.

I connected the scanner with the bypass cables as instructed and fixed it to where the lights work correctly. Then after unplugging the scanner about the second time I go to turn the lights go out again until I plug the scanner back up and change the setting again. No. You don't have to leave it plugged in. Since Jscan first came out there have been a ton of updates. One of the things they changed is how you update. The way you update will vary depending on what option you changed. Some of them require you to do nothing and some require you to cycle the vehicle off and back on. Try doing the update again and see what they require you to do and then see what happens.

      @@wanderingokie1983 No problem my friend! Glad I could help! Another suggestion. Google SGW extension cables. You should order those too. You don't need them, but if you use the SGW cables one time without them, you'll understand why you WILL WANT them!!! I promise you that once you figure out all of the things you can change and play with once you get everything going, you'll want to get into Jscan more.

      I'll have to look it up when I get home. It was an Italian company. Only ones that had it at the time. I know you can get them off of Amazon. And I'm pretty sure z automotive sells them too

      Great video! I like that is uses your phone vs dash like tazer . What is the operating difference between this and tazer and flashcal? What about cost difference? (Including license, etc)

    • @GoChangeYoLife
      @GoChangeYoLife  Před 2 lety +2

      @@jcknepp Thie two biggest differences are the price and the fact that you don't have to plug/unplug every time you go to a dealer. Jscan is the only one that you disconnect the cables when you are done with programming at that moment. And while tazer and flashcal are over $200, you can purchase all of Jscan equip,emt for less than $100 on Amazon. The military had me in SC and I'm from FL. I went back home to FL to regear in Feb. I usually keep my jscan cables in my jeep but left them in SC by mistake. I had to emergency purchase a Flashcal. As soon as I returned to SC, I immediately sold the flashcal and went back to Jscan. Jscan was much more convienient and simple to operate. And I use the same Jscan on my wife's JKU and my Dad's Ram and Charger.

    • @GoChangeYoLife
      @GoChangeYoLife  Před 2 lety +1

      You can buy either Jscan, Tazer, or flashcal. Any one of them would work. Jscan is cheaper and you don't have to leave it connected for it to work. You can remove Jscan when you complete your scanning and flashing.

      @@emadtriki3489 You can use a scanner to clear fault codes for any vehicle made after 1996. So ye, you can clear the fault codes. But, if there is a problem with your Jeep, the fault codes will return. What you should do is take note of the fault codes that show when you do a scan and if they're not issues that you can repair yourself, take it to a shop, and let them know what you found.
