Hi enjoyed watching ur video, I was wondering if you had a video of the kinna lay out as I see the 3 doors on the inside run to the individual flights but the centre and other side, as I'm looking for ideas thanks
It will all depend on your location and what birds you are keeping. We are based in central UK, and as we have frosts during the winter, we heat the aviary from around end of Oct to end April. The heaters we use keep the overnight temperature in the aviary to around 10 deg c. More importantly is to have a draught free area for the birds to spend the night.
Gouldian Finches in the UK thanks for the quick response I’m in southern England. Devon to be precise, I’m wanting to build an aviary in the garden and keep finches, diamond doves and Budgies.??
Technics Fan being in Devon you probably wouldn’t need heating for the larger birds as long as they have an indoor section, but as you will want a separate section for the finches, might be worth a little heating via panel heater during the coldest nights for the finches. If you have a look at some of my other videos it will give you an idea of the setup and heating we have. Good luck
British birds Hi the hen ideally needs to be about 1 year old when in breeding condition the beak will go black once she is on eggs make sure soft egg food is available
Yes agreed I have considered taking a couple of panes of glass out and replacing it with mesh but it’s not really been a problem and we can look through the feeding hatch 👍
Very informative video, keep posting videos and keep this bird community on youtube growing.
Great set up
😮 so amazing.
Nice video and great setup you have going on there 👍🇬🇧
Well done. thank you.
Happy to just see the birds to be honest. I keep Gouldians and parrot finches here and am always happy to see other people's.
