Outro: Chopin - Prelude in E Minor (Op. 28 No. 4)
Hello, I'm Rousseau, I make piano covers of classical and pop songs with a reactive visualizer. New videos every Monday!
#Rousseau #Piano #PianoCover
Chopin's 6th Prelude from his Op. 28 set, alongside No. 4 it was performed at his funeral on an organ. The low melancholic melody can't help but remind me of a solo cello, accompanied with an orchestra softly above. Chopin's ability to evoke orchestral colors from the piano is hard to believe sometimes, and it's short gems like this piece that can really show how amazing of an instrument the piano really is.
Can you do revolutionary etude?
I agree! I can completely imagine the left hand played by a cello.
Please do Love's Sorrow, Rachmaninoff's arrangement
Could Chopstickpain be next? : D
Could you do Schubertâs Erlkönig, D.328?
To me, this is genuinely the most heartbreaking Chopin composition I've heard yet. The period in which he wrote opus 28 was a particularly trying one. I imagine he must have often felt he was growing quite close to death. You can really hear all his questions and foreboding in this opus, as if he were already mourning his own death.
Actually that period was a happy one.
He was in Majorca with G. Sand and they were happy.
Bartoldo no they werenât. Apparently the weather was the worst in years. They lived in places very unsuitable for a person with tuberculosis (castle ruins if I remember correctly). They did things like bathing in the sea which was really cold for Mallorca standards and it basically made Chopinâs health go to shit. It wasnât a happy time.
@@balls345 this is in fact true but this was only the second half of their vacation
Are you sure this is the saddest one? Have you ever heard his prelude in E minor or prelude in C minor? Nocturne in B flat minor? Nocturne in c minor? There are sadder pieces than this one for sure
@@ronenrozenberg8742 Mate... Yes I've heard them all. It's personal opinion.
everyone saying âdO hUnGaRiAn RhApSoDy No.2â trust me heâs working on it, only problem that its sorta REALLY hard
Itâs been 3 months already
Mr. Anonymous it took me 2 years
@Sumi Surui "3 months already" are you kidding? if you want to become good at a piece you should work more on it than that, especially if it is HR2
@Sumi Surui piano is probably the hardest thing to master in the world. 3 months for an extreme high skill level piece is a but absurd to expect
@Sumi Surui oh lol sorry
To me this feels like a dying heartbeat. The right hand sustains the heartbeat until the end where it falters and eventually stops
beautiful description
Perfect analogy
This comment should get way more likes! Itâs underrated as that description matches this piece perfectly!
Oh wow... You're right, I didn't notice... And the small "major" (?) Moments like a bit of hope that eventually fades away... So sad
Bro my piano teacher described it in the exact same way
This piece was played during Chopin's funeral along with his 4th prelude and Mozart's requiem.
Evidence?
@@remigiuscaesar8307 chopins funeral is quite well documented as it was a big deal. Paul walkers bio corroborates these pieces and lists who performed them
poor rousseau, he just wants to play nice classical songs and all his comment ever are is people demanding him to play hungarian rhapsody, theres other pieces in classical music ya know
pieces*
@@ludwig4029 XD âWhat are these pieces you are calling songs?â
Like Hungarian rhapsody?
You see this piano peices are not called songs because they are peices and they come with difficult numbers like chopin has many preludes right this is just one of the many preudes that chopin has thats why its called a peice
i just want him to make a playlist of every chopin and rachmaninoff piece đ
What is your favorite piece by Chopin?
Rousseau chopin - ballade no 1
Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 /s/
Revolutionary Etude

Gosh, I just read the reviews and no one is reacting to this performance or why it is so good. Only requests....
I absolutely fell in love with this piece. I am in music highschool and our music theory teacher showed us this piece and we analysed it. He motivated me to continue loving music and analysing it. He is no longer my teacher, and I cried my soul out when I heard this piece, because it reminds me of him. I am a flautist, but I love the piano as if I am a pianist, and I love Chopin too. â€
We officially demand Hungarian Rhapsody No.2.

you just convinced me to learn this piece by Chopin. Thank you! Never thought I would find pieces by Chopin I could actually play :)) I'm a beginner. I'll start playing this after I perfect my prelude no. 4.
So emotional and sad but there is a spice of love and romance and that's what makes it so beautiful, thank you for this piece Rosseau
Have you heard of Rachmaninoff's piano arrangement of Kreisler's 'Leibeslied'?
@@darienbackstrom9725 Indeed, it's also a beautiful song on my opinion they share the same kind of feel to it but it still remains beautiful.
I literally watch these videos every night when I get home. You've been a huge inspiration for me. Thank you for uploading all this amazing content. Keep up the good work!

This piece is so incredible! Iâm always left speechless at the intense and complex emotions that Chopin can touch on. Beautifully played. This was my first time listening to this one; absolutely gave me chills!!
_Next_ *F. Chopin - Polonaise Op.53 No.6 "Heroic"*
That would be awesome. I hope he gets to it and the Ballades too.
Op53 No6? Opus 53 consists of ONLY the "Heroic" Polonaise.....

Had anyone ever suggested Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 to you?
Everyone is asking for that piece, but I think he could be preparing the video right now, the unique problem is that that piece is sooooo dificult and probably that's why he doesn't upload it yet
@@kronoxd9697 oh ok good, thanks! Cud I was really worried no one has ever suggested Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 before. So Rousseau was not aware of its existence and would never ever *ever* play it. But now that I know at least one other person has suggested it I can calm my tits.

I don't think people understand how hard this piece actually is. Getting the legato right in both hands is very hard, thats why most people use the pedal. The biggest part of this piece isn't supposed to have any pedal actually. When you look at the sheet music Chopin himself wrote, you can see there are only 2 places where you need to play with the pedal. The rest needs, as I said, good legato for it to sound good without pedal.
I think itâs more so just implied that u should be using pedal for the most part. The times that it was specifically written were to emphasize the importance of them there
I'm a simple man. I see Chopin, and I like.
How do you learn these songs so quickly? Do you just practice 10+ hours a day or something? I struggle to learn a song in a month, so Iâm just curious if you employ a particular way of practicing. Btw, I love the music. Always beautiful.
