Tbh, Carl's death kinda ruined twd for me. It was pointless and a huge mistake, killing a character with great potential just for the shock factor, that's lazy writing. The guy said he wanted to give Rick a reason to do what we know he does in the comics, but boy, they could have figured something else out. I will be low-key forever pissed at this. I hope Chandler keeps on acting, he's really good
I disagree. Rick has always been the heart of the show, unlike the comics where Carl has become the focal point imo. If Kirkman killed Carl in the comics, it wouldn't make sense, but it interests me to see where Carl's death leads to in the show.
I 100% agree. I've taken a break. I'll watch the rest of this season later on. For now I just can't watch it knowing it would have been a way better outcome than to kill off Carl. I'm a bit over the show at this point anyway. If Rick's the "heart" of the show, then Carl was the "hope" of the show, so to speak. It's time for TWD to wrap up. Because it seems like it doesn't matter who gets killed now... the show has lost a certain dynamic that I really enjoyed. Certain characters at this juncture are expendable. I really thought Carl was the exception.

Andrew Lincoln probably saw no point to continue because Ricks’ whole life was his son. I used to love this show and I had to watch it every Sunday if I couldn’t I would get anxious now I could care less, I just watch it on demand if ever. In other words, I lost interest. The walking dead for me used to be an extraordinary show now is just ordinary.
I have, however is not the same. Carl was Ricks’ life, the future, his legacy, after they killed him off I didn’t see the point, and I definitely lost interest after Rick left. I like Michone, Daryl, Maggie and Carol but for me without Rick is just another ordinary show.
I wish awesome things for Chandler. He did an awesome job of playing the part of a comic book character. I think he is an awesome actor I hope he gets to prove it.
