When creating a 3d room, a lot of people think its very complicated but with photoshop creating a 3d room for your design boards or style boards can actually be a very simple process.To create a real 3d image using something like sketch up can take a very long time resulting in stress and headaches when faced with a short deadline. But with Photoshop and the right training, it can be fast and generally easy after you get the basic down.
Some designers are simply not creating a 3d room in their designs because they believe it's just too complex .
But to give your mood boards,style boards, design boards, concept boards ect. the edge over so many more out there, creating a 3d room is very important step.

Eveytime I make a line using the line tool for the perspective, the line becomes selected and makes it very difficult to draw another line from the center. Any idea how to solve this?

Instead of shift and drag, can you move the anchor point and flip horizontal or vertical?
absolutely, considering you want a mirrored effect. The only time this would not work would be if you had a texture that had something like text on it. if you flip that horizontally your text would read backwards. Does that make sense?

Help! My Cmd +H button is not activated.. I see in PS where you can change commands... what specific command in there should I edit so that the Hide rulers + guides function works with Cmd+H. Thanks so much Brian!
Hey Courtney, Generally CMD or Ctrl H should be the default command in Photoshop. if you go to View (in the top bar) and scroll down to "extras" and "rulers" each one of these should have a preset hotkey visible to the right of each word.

I tried making a room by converting planes into smart object but when tried making perspective of it using transform command perspective & distort options were not available. please help.
