Amy lee is epic. Like theres no words to describe how unbelievably talented she is and shes gotten even more amazing over the years, i recommend checking out some stuff from evanescences synthesis dvd, maybe lacrymosa or end of the dream. I think thay was only about 2 years ago so its pretty recent. You wont regret it haha

Amy's vocal training was really just high school and church choir. That's about it. Between Fallen and The Open Door, she got a little more formal voice training, and she became far more disciplined in her live performances.
But the band is still around! They're just fully independent now, with a different lineup from the one they had in 2004.
Ann Wilson from Heart used to be my favorite female singer, until I heard Evanescence. Amy Lee has an incredible voice.

Evanescene still exists, they just released a new album this year and will start touring this fall.

When i was a baby and i was crying my immortal was the only song that would Shut me up haha, i stopped listening to them for a while because im stupid and when synthesis came out i was floored so hard that i fell through the map, idk where these people get their unreasonable amounts of talent from but im glad they have it haha

There is EVANESCENCE now, they didn't split! They have a new cover song "The Chain" and are working on a new album. They released an orchestral album "Synthesis" in 2017.
Ummm, Amy didn't sue her record label, they sued her for pulling the album because she wasn't happy with songs and wanted more time. But label was greedy of course. In the end, she won. Evanescence was active all along, they have awesome albums and are currently recording new album. I would suggest Your Star live from Japan, or the End of the Dream live Synthesis. Awesome that you're reacting to Evanescence. xox

Yes, this song was played every day on the radio with a few others that I remember like "My Immortall" and I think there is a clip of this song from the same concert and "Everybody´s Fool". It is true that dynamic of a female vocalist using head voice or heady mixes an a male vocalist with harsh vocals of different kinds was enormously popular back then in 1990s or early 2000s. It is still used by Epica to a certain degree and was utilized by After Forever. Even Within Temptation had it on its first album - Within Temptation - Enter live Pukkelpop (2002) - czcams.com/video/nNdLYM1JSmQ/video.html or a band that made it really popular - Theatre of Tragedy - Cassandra (Live at Metalmania Fest. 2000, Katowice, Poland) - czcams.com/video/Kf8CEhkT0D4/video.html - this second one is rather for your listening pleasure
Definitely have to check out more recent performances. Amy’s voice is much more powerful and also they are still active, they’re actually recording their next album and plan on releasing the first new song by the end of this month or early April. She did win the case against the label so she basically owns Evanescence and is free to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants, something the label wouldn’t allow her to do.
Evanescence is touring again 2022. I have tickets in January
Sonic Festival just cancelled today due to coronavirus and Evanescence was playing day 2. That's how active they still are.

She owns the band and the name Evanescence. Ben Moody signed it over to Amy. Still making music to this day. Evanescence fans already know she takes breaks after each Album cycle. She has done solo stuff and soundtracks and covers.

Evanescence opened the door for me to bands like Nightwish and Epica. I strongly recommend listening to Chasing the Dragon by Epica... amazing female singer in a symphonic metal band.
Actually Evanescence is back. They are releasing a new album this year and have released the first song, Wasted on You. The band filmed the video while social distancing in their own homes with iPhone videos that are spliced together.
The band exists! A new album is coming! I suggest you Evanescence "The End of the Dream - live Synthesis" , "Never go Back - live Synthesis", "Use My Voice" and "Better without you". The band is bigger than yesterday. And Amy still amazing!!

Hi Valerie. I had their first 2cd.Sometimes they compare Amy and Floor the way they sing. How are you doing. You should react to Nightwish's song I want my tears back from Buenos Aires. Floor dances cal around the stage and the crowd is fabulous.

I think it might have arisen from misunderstanding concerning that Evanescence turned into a band comprising of independent artist instead of a single entity working under a label, that is my guess, because that is what one would get from Amy Lee´s Wikipedia article, at least
along with Tyl eww Butler Figueroa and the sand artist, "Someone you Loved"

Hello...u talk about dimash...but what concerns me is how u can teach a student with different accent/pronunciation/enunciation..etc... Because dimash hit that notes but "diction"...maybe poor to me... Hope you answer me coach..

I thought Amy Lee was a vamp.
I really don't understand how some people compare her to Floor Jansen. Floor has greater range, tone and power. That's not to say Amy has a bad voice either. She just couldn't do what Floor does with Nightwish.
It's superficial. People hear the extensive use of head voice, the heavy instruments, and the Gothic nature of the music and assume that they are alike. It is usually people who don't know much about heavy metal that say this. Then they listen more and they've noticed the differences.
She's improved, cause I used to think she sounded bad live.
If you like Nightwish, why bother with Evanescence :)
The dude had very little vocals and was still out of tune
