If you haven't yet discovered the pan pizza, stop what you're doing right now. You NEED it in your life. The pan pizza is not like the others. In fact, I'd argue that, if properly executed, it has the best elements from every pizza out there. On one hand, you have the cheesy deliciousness you'd look for in any pizza. On the crust, you've got deep caramelization from the sugars in the tomato sauce and the cheese near the edges. And, of course, the dough (depending on what you use) provides a fantastic flavor and chewiness.

Unfortunately I don't have a cast iron pan yet but I am getting one soon. I am still a relatively new to cooking as I don't have alot of experiences yet hence the lack of cooking supplies but you have to start somewhere so I am upping my chef's IQ by watching you and a few others. Until I get a few more supplies for cooking. Nice video! When I think pan pizza, I think Chicago style, and I remember a chef in Chicago telling me that they put corn oil in the dough, which gives it the unique Chicago quality, and unlike everywhere else on Earth, cheese on the bottom (sliced) and sauce on top.

Only thing I noticed (not that I was looking for a flaw) was that the bottom crust shot showed that the edges of the slice were brown and the center was white which makes me think that you threw the single slice back on the cast iron because it wasn't crispy/brown enough when you initially cut the slice. Love your stuff. I imagine you did it for the aesthetic. Good on ya.

Now that think of it this is by far one of the most simple recipes I’ve seen of him like it’s not very simple it’s just the most simple he has made in he’s channel
Used to work at Dominos. What makes it different from normal hand tossed (besides being cooked in a pan) is the dough itself. It has butter flakes in the dough, while the normal dough doesn’t.
is that standard across all locations?
@@vatsalsinghchauhan I think it depends on location, however every Dominos I've ate at had the butterflakes in the pan dough. When I first got hired, it was standard, however I havent worked at Dominos in over a year so it could've changed (Like a lot of other things there)

Shoutout to us Rhode Island folks! Best pizza IMO: Twin’s, Caserta’s, and Pizza Marvin. Pizza Marvin is newish and is my new favorite spot.
FWIW, in the late 90s-2000, Dominos used par baked pizza crusts rather than fresh dough as they did for their regular or thin crust pizzas. Sometime between then and now, they changed to using fresh dough for pan pizza crusts.

You can finish crisping the bottom of the pizza on the stove top when using a skillet. I'd personally like more color on the bottom than what you got but still looks good.
This looks good. I had pizza that was called “Chicago style” but it was really a casserole. It was at a place called “Uno.” They were very proud of their casseroles.

edit: its done and its good but sadly I didn't get the crust right it was prob from the dough
My dad made pizza because he used to work at a pizza restaurant and rarely he will make pizza but I like it because it's all from scratch.
Another one he makes is a slice of bread that fits perfectly in a cast iron pot and it's a small oval shape one and then he puts tomato sauce or the pizza sauce you put on pizza and adds toppings and we put it in the oven and when it's done we wrap paper towels around the handles of the pot s we don't burn ourselves and we eat it.

Putting a little olive oil over the cheese before putting it in the oven makes a huge difference. Without, the cheese will burn and dry out.

If your bottom isnt done enough just throw it back in the pan and cook it on your stove top til it crisps more. Also you can reduce your sauce to get the water out allowing.you to put more sauce on it while keeping it from getting super soggy.
