What is your view on travelling around and taking a look at what Thailand has to offer aside from Pattaya.
Korat is a huge city with so much to see and do. The nightlife scene here is a million miles away from that you experience in Pattaya.

Coincidence or not, that special feeling you had, at that moment, was absolutely real and one you'll remember the rest of your life. That memory, in itself, is a bit of magic.

yes, thankyou Trev for sending that out. Special mention for you capturing that intimate Sai Sin ritual with your partner's and yrs 'Nan'. It showed it is an uneasy balance combining being personally involved in the moment whilst also being mindful of the audience, having the camera lens eye on focused on storyboarding the narrative - sort of a 'cut & action' view. It's an uneasy balance, but it requires an exceptional dexterity and deftness in one's filming/vlogging to achieve it and overall you demonstrate your considerable ability to achieve it in this vlog!

Thats a crazy co-incidence Trev, but a very fortuitous one!
Nan seems like a really positive presence in your life, almost as an anchor. Its one of the constant things that you can hold onto, especially as elderly people are revered and respected in some Asian cultures. I got a really good feeling from just watching her.
Temples seem like powerful places to visit; there's a real aura to them. Now, the atheist in me knows that its just a series of primal chemical reactions going on in our caveman brains (ooo big building/statue, me in awe!) but they exude a feeling that for some, feels very real.
I love seeing these village life videos Trev. Its a real window into a different way to live and are very welcome. Thanks!

    Hi Trevor
I am not religous, but when i go back to the village where i live, i go to the temple near where i live. i just sit and relax not to pray but just to think through things from time to time. I must be honest i have always come away from the temple feeling happier than when i went. So what you are saying i can relate to, i dont knock anything concerning the temple.
also the elders are very wise not in university degree's, but in life. Pattaya life is another dimension, as to life in the villages. In my village just like you said 9.pm is late for bed. But 4:30.am they are up and out in the fields and work there all day.
Happy New Year to you and yours

I love that your people honor traditions and they're not destroyed by the rat race like here in the west. I'd like to chat about your experience at the temple because I've witnessed many unexplainable things while working as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and also burying my entire family along the way......but I'll save that for if and when I have a coffee with you in Pattaya. Whilst I'm not religious in a meaningful sense, I've certainly had a sense of calm on the odd occasion I've had a wrist string put on. I also find the temples / burning incense really therapeutic and calming. Did that YT code turn up at that moment because of that feeling? Who knows but there is no harm in accepting it - and if you live in Thailand long enough or go there often it does start to seep in 🙏🙏🙏

I agree it is better to embrace the culture rather than try to dismiss it

I guess mate you have to take everything that is good about that situation and be thankful.... We receive so much bad news in our lives that we are all due some good... I believe we all get looked after in one way or another and that for sure was earned by you and yours. Keep up the good work. I'm coming out in April with my wife and 9 year old to see my wife's family in Si Sa Ket and see my mother in law for the first time since she had a massive stroke during Covid( my wife has been out twice in this time) and my Stepson who lives with us in the UK has to come out also as he has his Army lotto ...!!!so we all hope my mother in law is ok as she's not been so good and the family getting together can bring some luck for my Stepson .

I hope you have a fantastic time when you come over my friend and yes I always look for the good and things rather than focus on the bad there is already enough negativity in this world without me immersing myself in it

Bro i'm tryna come to Thailand next year. Is it true that foreigners entering Thailand are required at the port of entry to show proof of planned travel to leave Thailand within 45 days of the arrival date? I don't wanna book a round trip, rather buy a one way ticket

Yes Trev I am an ageist as well, but coming to Thailand , had funny experience at ,temple at On Nut, as I knelt in prayer with my friend , looking at the coffin against the wall, I suddenly turned around as somebody grabbed my left shoulder, but there was no body there, I looked at monk he sat well away from me, so dont know, why,
