A rule I followed was , get back to my room any valuables will already be in my safe -so what I have on me id simply go for a shower and take phone, wallet etc to bathroom with me - once id come out and the lady goes to the shower everything goes into the safe other than what I owe her in the morning and maybe a few extra hundred baht as a tip if I have fun , nothing on display and never give them any opportunity to get anything
Good rule mate
One of the most pleasant experiences I had was with a slightly older woman I met at the old Bamboo bar. We had drinks and danced a bit. I asked her back to the hotel, and when I asked do you need to go soon, she said "Up to you"...I told her I need to get up at 7ish and eat breakfast. "No problem"...She was wonderful attitude-wise. Smiling all the time. This was the 90's. no smartphones. We had a wonderful time, watched TV...ate some room service, and talked. She was up bright with me, we had some tea and showered...got a surprise there. We didn't talk about money. I gave her an envelope with 1500 baht. That was my rate back then for an all-nighter. Saw her several times after that, all good!

Does anyone know what the current rate is for ST and LT (over-nighter) in pattaya. Like a range rate for most bars. The first time I did try it at Pattaya I think I got ripped off and I paid the Mamasan upfront and only got 2 hours with the girl 😂 I never went back and stuck with the clubs and the beach walkers 😅
the morning after is a very dangerous moment for our health .Many have suffered a heart attack seeing their night love in the day light without make up and without the effect of alcohol on their body..Some even found that they had extra sausage for breakfast

I always found LT a hassle. Usually they are hard work to move, when you just want them up and out. For a newbie you may find it difficult, banging doors etc to try and wake them. No chance. Best option is to go for the kill and hopefully get lucky, or if not just tell them you need them out sharpish as you have places to go. Bottom line is don’t be Mr Nicey nice or they will take advantage.
Agree the fee the night before and make sure you and they are not too kissed that you don’t have “fun” when you get back to the hotel or you may find them doing their best starfish impression in the morning.
Always ensure they give their id to the reception. If they don’t have or not asked for then leave her behind and consider changing hotels. Many guys been drugged and robbed by freelancers, some possibly in collusion with staff.
Always check the room when they not just for your valuables but the things they leave behind for an excuse to return that evening and try for another payday.

Always be on your guard. Remember that this is purely business. Overnight stay is asking for problems. You never see a happy Thai girl walking round with a western guy so what’s the point in taking them shopping etc. Say to the girls that you will be visiting the bar a lot and you will be taking other girls home during your stay. If you bring two girls back make them shower together before you do the deed. That gives you time to get your valuables away and even set the camera up if you’re into that sort of thing. Once you’ve done that you can join them in the shower which give you the opportunity to check them out. Best advice I can give is to get the girls out once you finished as you aren’t there to fall in love and that does save the walk of shame in the morning when everyones about. Alcohol does awful things to our eyesight and judgement.

Professor Trev and his words of wisdom. Great info for newbies. I remember when a hotel would ask for a joiner fee. Even if you booked a double. I was told that because they assume you are drunk and cannot speak Thai, you would just pay. I also remember a time when they were happy to be out of the bar with someone, they would hand your hand and really be excited. I also remember wait staff trying to "Con" you out of your change. You pay with 1000 baht note and all of the sudden you want to leave but your change never came back. (Always remember the number of the wait staff who took your money) go find the mamasan and tell what happened.I also remember the days when the lady appreciated you for how you treated her, she'd call her "Sister" (translator)who translated Thai to English and asked if you wanted another day. This was genuine. If she really appreciated how you treated her and she really wanted to stay but always replied "Up to You" because like you say Trev, they cannot lose face if she says yes, she wants to stay but you say "No Thanks" No longer will you find that kind of sincerity. It's business gents. Make sure you realize that. To ALL, Travel wisely, be safe and please stay healthy. Thanks Trev.

You are correct about the current state. I had thought that the ladies would appreciate the chance to be out of the GoGo and off their feet, with a couple of hours to just chill and get cuddles.
Then I often find out that they want to leave early, to get back to the bar so they can do as many short times as possible. They may have bets with their coworkers on who can return from their ST the quickest. Often lousy customer service considering it is a "service business."
I keep my expectations low now. It's still mostly Fun.

Absolutely all solid advice! I agree and cannot stress more..THIS IS A BUSINESS! Her time, is money! Please sort all the business out upfront and get all the uncomfortable stuff out of the way! As I always say, “A ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure!”

Girl will take a shower before action when you get to the hotel room, that's a good time for you to put your stuff in safe.

Lessons learned on my end. I no longer take girls back to my hotel room. Just get a short time hotel or go to a massage parlor. If it's a "good" girl you like, don't worry, she'll be around the next day. In Pattaya, you don't lose your girl, you just lose your turn.

With all this said, under the 25 years I've been coming to Pattaya - I've never had any issues with Thai girls stealing anything else than my heart.

Just take 2 at once and have every other day off. Its far better far more fun. Find one u like and ask her to pick the other girl. its so much less stress when you are out. they can chat away if u keep taking one and the same one, often you will get a broken heart. Ive been doing this for almost 30 years and thats the best way if u dont wanna get attached.

I barfined a real beauty from Sugar Sugar longtime. We had a very pleasant evening sitting on my balcony in View Talay 6, eating and drinking, then watching tv. The next morning she asked if she could stay longer so I said sure but I cannot pay more, and she said "No promlem I want stay anyway". She stayed 3 nights, I think she just wanted to sleep somewhere really nice because most of these girls live 3 or 4 to a very small room.

The morning after Pattaya for me was a close call to going to Captain’s Mast. Fortunately, I was liberty restricted for 3 ports only to get off liberty restriction in time to go onshore to Phuket. Had a flippin blast in Thailand!

First time there this last February and had kind of an awkward situation. Girl was sleeping like a log and I was afraid she was't gonna wake by the time I had to check out of the hotel. Luckily, I woke up, took a shower, she she was up when I came out... Walked her down, quick goodbye and she was on her way. I did lock everything in the safe the night before for peace of mind though.
They can definitely sleep lol
I was in Asia from 90 to 91. Our ville was really small. We could sponsor girls onto the base for swimming, pizza, cook outs, bowling, movies, hanging out at the rec center. Our girls were really chill😊

Guys, Trev's advice is spot on and covers about 99% of the scenarios you may experience. Of course you may encounter an extremely rare incident (extreme "nutters" or extreme "cling-ons"), but as Mark L says below, "always be nice" and everything should work out or a better chance of it working out 🙂

I met a lady who stayed with me for a few days, she was really nice so I got her booked in with reception they took a photo of her ID so she did not have to book in and give her ID card. she was also a great tour guide. after the first day I never bothered locking things up. Treat the lady with respect and you will get the best rewards

Having just got back from the city and had a wonderful time, I am amazed with the negative dribble people write about the city and her people. If you look down on Pattaya and the people who visit the city then why on earth do you watch these videos? Deep down these same individuals would love to go but never admit it. Speaking to those complaining individuals, believe me when I tell you that you are missing the best experience you would ever have in your life in Pattaya. Pity you'll never experience it and only secreatly dream about it. 🙂

Very well done video and excellent advice for a topic that can be treated as 'locker room' banter and not seen as a business arrangement. Most Isaan (Isan) women that choose (hopefully) to be bar girls are supporting their parents and/or kids, it's important for them to be successful. They need and should be treated respectfully. I appreciate your mature attitude and creating this video. On a side note at 10:55 I love seeing that Mama's Cafe is still there on Soi 6. I have had some delicious meals there when I needed a break from Thai cuisine. Makes me wonder if that little pup across the street at the jeweler/gold shop is still looking out the window?

25 years old here and been to pattaya once and can attest to everything Trevor has said from A to Z. I bar fined a real looker from a popular gogo, had a great night went to the nightclub after the bar with her friends . Then to the Hotel for some aerobics , Damm near slept until 3pm the morning after. She finally showers and leaves, being the idiot I am I go back to that gogo the following night wanting to meet someone new. Then I see the lovely Jen practically sprint when she see's me and locks me down after each of her songs. Although I honestly cant complain to much I did bar fine her for free the next TWO nights but alas she definitley got attached and so did I a bit. At the end of the day I dont have any regrets.
I've been going to Thailand since I was 21, now 26 and I haven't paid for a female once and I've slept with at least a hundred there.

I’m in my early 30s but still look 25-28 and pulled a few local ones in both Pattaya and BKK but most do look for payments or something out it … a few where down to earth and never asked for anything but I still did leave some money for her as she helped me arrange a local taxi service back to BKK and spent that last few hours at her apartment in Jomtien 😂

Great reminders for ex pats and important info for Newbies. I found the best way is to just visit different Gentleman's Clubs or a bar with an "upstairs" Just remember to always. Be with the same girl at each establishment. ALL fees are paid before you leave the bar...

Good video ! i noticed they love leaving their toothbrush and other things in the room in the hope of a return visit lol. I always left the paymet next to their bag when they go to shower, they seemed to appreciate it and it takes away the awkwardness. Plus paying before you may get a better time as they they are more relaxed and appreciative that youve thought about it :)

Wow. Things have changed since the 90's....I'll say "back in the day" morning action was zero factor, as a matter of fact, action whenever was no issue either. Women on overnight (Long time) loved hanging out, and were cool for a little food, and if she was prepared, a swim..... I stayed in a place near the Ambassador Hotel...place from the 'Nam" days, it had a centre courtyard pool which was close enough to the out point of the little balcony on our second (and my buddy's third) floor we were literally jumping off the balcony into the pool (for everyone of the girls it was their first time doing something so crazy; they liked the excitement)! Wild times! Usually they wanted to leave around 12-1 to get ready for their next work day....sometimes, they would simply ask to hangout another day at a discount. This was pretty normal back then....now? things are soooo different (could say ruined in a way) it seems.

in my many yrs in siam i have only stayed in 2 bad hotels 1 who minor scammed me and one attempted. both in BKK. Ive always found it an essential mission at everywhere i stay to build firm good raport with the management and hotel im staying at. likewise u end up being return business.

I always book a room for 2 however they will still charge for a 3rd on those occasions where you need a buffet.
Most hotels I stay at will still keep their ID & give you the call in the morning.
If you are lucky, and it does happen probably 1/2 the time for me, then they are waking you up in a very nice way.
A connection is very important if you want to maximise the chances of a great time.
I have been to Thailand 18 times now (March 2023) the last time & never & would not pay up front.

I always book a room for 2 people too. In Pattaya the hotel staff just smiles when i bring a lady for ST (this was Amber hotel in Pattaya). they never asked for ID. When I was in Phuket best western patong they did do that. So I guess it's different per hotel and per place where you go. I used to go with girls LT, but I must say I like the ST, or if I make a booking LT I say to her let's go from 6pm to 2AM, lets grab food go out for drinks go to the hotel and then lets get you a taxi. That's what works best for me. You always pay after sex. I've had 1 time a girl asked for money BEFORE the sex because she said I was a bit drunk and she was afraid I would forget in the morning... which in all fairness I was. So I payed her before, we had sex and we had another round in the morning. She plundered the mini bar on her way out as her "tip". I just had a laugh and though sure, another 2-300 baht isnt gonna hurt me at this point. Flying tomorrow to BKK, 6th time for me now.
For those of us who reach senior citizen hood, we, as have I, will examine our past behavior and the memories of the things we did and said that we’d now deny happened. If only I the opportunity to re-do the past….

This was a good video. But I have never had a hotel not ask for a women’s ID whether I booked as a single or a double occupancy for a room. For example the LK Empress I would stay alone but they would still ask for a guests ID when coming in. There is a joiner fee but that would only be if a 3rd person was joining in. Keep up the great work.

Hi Trev great insight, thought I would leave a comment about my first experience in Pattaya only went there because I was working near by for 8 weeks, my first bar fine was on walking street you may remember the go go it was called Alcatraz I got stung all money up front didn't have a clue I was as green as they come the girl I bar fined I stayed with for 10 years
Remember the place well I was their photographer for 3 years, sorry that happened to ya mate

Depends on the situation and the woman. I've experienced the very good, bad and the ugly. But as a vet now everything goes very smooth. You live..You learn. But above all, Always secure your valuables. And there are several ways you can do this without ever being noticed.

Pulled a girl once from one of the nightclubs on Walking Street which is open till very late 6-7 in the morning if not later. She was drunk..hmm.. not sure now ( so I was:)) ). We agreed on a price but I ran out of money so she paid for the taxi herself. As soon as I slipped the money into her hands she stood up and buuggered off. Don't know why I paid upfront, never did before. But the lesson learnt. She behaved inadequately in the nightclub, caused a lot of trouble, kicked a security guy, a customer, etc :))) I had to apologize for her and sort everything out. I should have NEVER taken her back to my room!!! What an idiot I was!! But...what I am trying to say...I wanted to kick off about the money but didn't thinking it would cost me more stress and troubles. It wasn't a big sum of money. Just let it go and will never do the same again. I hope)))

15:31 so true mate, so true. I always tell the girls I am "butterfly", then joke "I am airport". barfine and come back next day and grab a different one. Its no problem if you're up front and honest right out of the gate. When guys have all this drama with the girls, its because they (the guys) allowed it to happen that way. Lay the rules down early and its never an issue.

Recent trip not one wanted to stay so what to do in morning wasn't an issue. This was the first time this has ever happened. In previous years some wanted to get to know me but it was fairly robotic unfortunately.
A few tried it on regarding payment before. I just said no, even got a mamasan involved. I was prepared to walk over this issue. Had enough try to leave prematurely without them already having thr money.
Email the hotel before you stay asking if a joiner fee, if they try it then show the email. Print it for extra effect (they love paperwork) . The hotel still take ID when you take someone back even if booked for 2 guests. You can bypass this with some hotels but if you go to the desk they will take it.

You covered most of it Trev but even in the early 90s when I was a very regular visitor to Pattaya, paying the bar was almost always required. No pay now, no go off with you! It was as blunt as that all along walking street and, in many other bars. Regardless of how I book a room (usually for two) I always ensure I see the girls ID and, she leaves that ID with reception. Any objections either cut your losses or, divert to a short-time room. It's business, so if the girl is just pretending, the chances are you could find yourself without some of your belongings when you finally wake up. One other thing and it only happened once to me... Do not continue drinking in your room with her unless you open a sealed bottle yourself and never let it out of your hands. You could find yourself sleeping the sleep of the dead and the girl is long gone. I was lucky, I felt myself going light-headed, realised she had put something in the drink, and I kicked the her out before I passed out. I was out for about 12 hours solid and had the worst headache ever when I finally woke up. I went back to the bar the following night and talked to the Mamasan but, the girl was nowhere to be found. Quite possible the Mamasan was hiding her. It does happen. And remember, kick one and they all limp, if you have a problem with someone, stay calm and speak to the Mamasan about what happened. You won't get anywhere but the Mamsan will realise you're not a complete idiot.
One tip I was given years ago... Almost all the rooms have a safety chain on the inside of the door. After you put the chain on, use a small padlock through the links to shorten the chain length .
It prevents the chain being taken off without a lot of noise if she tries to sneak out.
Bit dodgy if there were a fire but I take that chance.

Another thing, always always place your valuables inside the safe first. I usually do this before I head out for the night. Like my excess cash and any watch I might have. I only carry some cash or a credit card. Then when you get back to the room with her, you can reopen the safe and put those things in too when she is taking her shower. Best time to do this. As I mentioned in the other comment here I usually slip her money though into her purse. Then whatever is left of mine I put into the safe while she is taking her shower. Then by the time you go at it all things have been secured. Your valuables inside your safe plus she already has her money. They usually feel more secure knowing that you already gave them the money. It’s clear. Done with. Then you can both Shag away! 😎😆

I have booked a condo in the past where on first night i found they did not ask for ID. I approached reception later that day, asked them if they would be willing to ask and keep id when i had company and for all front desk staff to be advised of my preference. They agreed and i paid 1500 baht to say thankyou. I also leave passport, most of my money, bank cards, ipad in safe so the only thing mildly valuable is a few thousand baht in wallet, phone and a wireless speaker. Worth being vigilant imo

Did make the mistake of paying up front on the first night of my first time in Pattaya. As it turned out, the deed was done, not great but not her fault, the beer goggles cleared, she hit the road, so other than my poor performance it was all good. Just the same was the first and last time I paid upfront. Down the track I married a Thai lady and have been paying upfront ever since. 555

1. Pay and fire my catch, 2. Coffee on my balcony, 3. Some routine gym and go out for a morning walk direction beach or town, followed by breakfast where I may chat with some nice chaps. If ever she is in a deep coma sleep, I can switch the sequence between 1 and 2. I have been asked to pay in the bar, but never did. I prefer short-time, actually changed the 3-day rule into the 3-hour rule. Line may be exchanged, depending on the service, for a potential next transaction.

I bar fined a little cutie and brought her back to the room about 7pm for LT, after about 1 1/2 hrs of action we fell asleep. During the night I eased back into her for round 2 and later round 3. @@Buzzinpattaya A big issue is that I have a real problem finishing with a condom due to the reduced sensitivity but considering the reality of what we’re dealing with there is no other option. I’ve also found that despite their attractiveness some of the girls are just not that skilled or enthusiastic when comes to satisfying a man. A totally inferior experience compared to being with a woman who truly cares for you and is also enjoying the intimacy. I went to pattaya in my 20's and spent a few nights with a waitress from the rolling stones bar.. I always had another go with her in the morning, get a shower and send her off until later in the night.. Ill make it back there one of these days :D

Never ever let them stay over! You get done ya get them out! Or even better when I’m in the DR i never bring them back to the resort. It’s actually cheaper to get a cheap in town motel than pay the resort fee for them. This way you don’t have to worry about getting ripped off.

My Thai wife wont leave the house until 11 am 10 if I am lucky. Thai's dont really eat breakfast they just eat what ever when ever. I love Breakfast. She wakes up early now because If she doesn't she will miss shopping which she love loves

Never had any issues with that. We always went to bed around the same time , like 4 or 5 o'clock, so we both slept till around noon. And even if I woke up earlier, I'd just let her sleep until she comes out. no problem.

I have only twice had a LT and on both times it was a pain in the arse. I am a day person more than night and don't like wasting daytime hours. Both times I had LT's I couldn't get the girls to leave until lunch time. I know it sounds selfish and it probably was, but my time out there was limited and I never liked to waste my days. For me, ST is always a winner as you get the same amount of fun followed by a decent nights kip and you're up and ready to enjoy the next day.

Ive never really had a problem. I'm a club guy so most girls I meet don't have to wake up early and we dont even sleep until 7am. So round 2 isnt even until the afternoon then they normally leave around 4pm. I do usually have to say Im meeting friends or some lie...because they always want to stay and go out together.

Yeah a Thai lady losing face is a nightmare, I remember my first time was with the same girl 3 days straight from soi 8, I returned for a 4rth time (lol) but she had been taken, so I thought there we are then, off to Lucifers, picked up a takeaway, went back to Soi 8 as my hotel was there (Sunbeam) and walked passed the bar the first girl I had been with and all of a sudden without warning plates, cups, a dam chair comes flying into the street at me hahahahhaha.....I did manage to patch it up few days later as I did not want a problem and she was fine but would not talk to me much at all when I drank in the bar and would slam her drink down in front of me, bit of a show, but manageable, better than flying cups and plates lol... That was my first lesson... in 2007...
