- I haven’t had a sport bike for about six years for self control and back pain reasons but this 2009 Kawasaki ZX14r was calling my name. Looking forward to clocking some more miles on this beast!

Get the handlebar risers. They will make the bike much more comfortable. I have them on my 14 and would never take them off. Your bike is very clean for a 2009. The ZX14 is one of the best bikes ever built, fast, comfortable and reliable.
Thank you! A friend of mine has them on his and you’re right it does help a lot but I only ride the bike short distances (normally under 100 mile) so for now I’m going to keep it stock.
This video made me make my final decision on getting this bike. I bought it in June and by September I had already put 7,000 miles on it. It is by far my favorite thing I’ve ever bought
That’s awesome!!! They’re such good bikes
For 31 years I was a Suzuki guy but the last 2 years I have been loving my zx14r. Installed a zero gravity touring windshield, 1” billet handlebar risers, adjustable kickstand, adjustable center stand, lowering links, rear fender eliminator kit, k&n air filter, delkevic 9” oval slip on mufflers, all l.e.d. Bulbs, billet adjustable levers, engine ice coolant, full synthetic oil and a Moore mafia tune. Very powerful and comfortable even with my disabilities.
My favorite bike i have never ridden. Been looking at getting one for my daily rider
I am 55 and on my second zx14r. Love the power
**KAWASAKI LETS THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!**
Beautiful Bike and the shine on that paint work wow 👌
Congrats on the bike! I have a 2017 ZX14R in green. It’s a blast. Looking forward to your riding videos! 😎 - Amy
Awesome & honest commentary 👍👍👍🏅🏅🏅
Bike looks amazing love the colour !
Dream bike.. looking to buy it soon but thank you for your honest opinion
Enjoyed your review man! I have a 2015 ZX14R. Love it. Digging the 78-9 Ford as well. Great taste.
Thank you!
You are right when you said it's not the most comfortable bike.. it more than makes up for it in looks and performance. I have a 2015 ZX14R and I absolutely love it. Mine isn't the Kawasaki green, it's Kawasaki's Burnt Orange and it really looks sharp.
Have fun and always ride safe.
Owned a 2011 many mods and loved it.. more comfortable than the 18 road king I traded it for.. and seriously regret that mistake..
Very nice bike, very nice colour. I prefer the twin exhaust over the single though, evens up the look.
Cool bike, I like the color one of my favorites that Kawasaki use's. Hey you gotta have a little of each kind of bike in the garage right? Looking forward to the new content.
I've been thinking about picking one one these up. Thanks for the video
Hay I'm also riding my klr650 like a mad man lol
I’ve had a few KLR’s and I love them!
Nice content! Still going back and forth between that and the Busa. I heard it’s good for taller individuals
Have mint 11 plate abs gen 1 picking up my gen two Saturday from kawasaki best bikes ever they just do it all for me . Riden new busa and h2 but still prefure zz 14
Just got a 1st gen busa and love it. Would be great to pick a ZX14 to make her company.
Legend 💚🖤
It’s a great daily rider I drive mine to work from March to November
Great looking bike 👍
Thank you!
Add the tall risers to bars. Difference is significant.
As a Suzuki guy on the other end of a rivalry I've never been into Kawasakis but this is a sweet bike!
I'm on the fence about passing on my 1981 Cb750 custom for an new Indian Scout bobber. I took one for a 6 hour demo ride and wanted one ever since.
I’d like to get a Busa someday!
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles .... you have a 14 don't downgrade. The gen1 14s are fm7ch faster than gen1 busas and slightly faster than gen2 busas a gen2 14r shits on everybody's day
Love the color scheme, congrats… I agree I am 54 not for kids! lol
I really agree about symmetrical headlights.
I think it’s stupid to make symmetric headlights when only one lamp is lit. Bikes looks broken then.
i commute to work on mine because of the 5.8 gallons tank capacity
i rode it from Reno to Mexico over 700 miles no problem to Ensenada
no hotels needed
Interesting machine, best of luck to you. Business hit it's peak about a week ago and maybe now we can catch up after 9 machines were picked up in 2 days. Still got 3 dozen plus machines backed up but after living with 4 dozen backed up for well over a year we're happy. Parts are still a bitch and beware of the street bike Dunlop shortage. When a salesman goes to great lengths to dissuade you from ordering back ordered Dunlops and promises that you should wait till January, somethings up. Enjoy Mason.
🤔 1st review I have seen where someone with a 200 mph bike mentioned problems with cops 😁👍 wow, KLR too? Yes! I'd like to hear about the KLR+Versys+ZXs.
Nice
When you were a motorcycle sales man! I remember the videos on that chapter of your life! How long has it been?
I don’t think I started making videos actually until I was The assistant GM of a dealer but I wish I was making videos back in my sales days. When I was in LA selling bikes the content was never ending lol
**I LOOK FORWARD TO THE ZX14 RIDING VIDEOS!!! = THANKS!!!**
Beautiful bike! I ride a 2010 Concours 14 and love it! Looking to buy a used ZX14 to see what it can do. Anxious to here your thoughts.
What you wanna know. Put a full system on it , a Brocks alienhead. Go down 1 tooth in front go up 2 in back if you want a monster put a sprint airfilter on p08f185 it is good for a couple hp. Get a lithium ion battery it makes a difference in weight also a 06 zx10 wheel is a direct fit up front the rear will need custom bearings , OSR has them the zx10 wheel will require a zx12 rear sprocket. Get some extra well nuts they are prone to break ( the nuts that secure the fairing to the frame at the airbox if u can call it that) get your ecu flashed or a pc3 or 5. The flashed ecu will eliminate the top end restrictions and increase the rpm and keep the secondary flies open. I removed mine the first day I had mine . I bought the first one in my area. Blue ones are the fastest. I have ran mobile1 0w-20 and haven't had any issues at all and my bike makes 191 hp its a 2006. Gen 1 are the best gen2 are mo bestest
@@Popsm0ke With 200 horse power on tap, unless you are a riding god who intends to blast down the strip these are utter wastes of money. No mere mortal needs any more HP.....
@@BibtheBoulder .....well that's what I do. I've been on 2 wheels since the age of 4 now I'm 48. The more hp the better and I'll use every bit of it. I don't act like a fool on crowded highways. We have isolated country roads we blast off on. I used to be a knee dragging fool now I mostly drag race.
Contour was horrid for tall guys
Agreed, zx14 for who retired for riding sportbike but cannot move his soul for sportbike life
Could you ssnd me a link or video of when you bought your ZX 14

Get that ECU modded. new bike!
The nuclear sunset orange and black are the fastest colors 😏
Happy Halloween lol I got a 2010 in red
Bro, buy a BMW K1600b! Comfort out the wazoo and 160hp and 134ft lbs of torque.
Im buying a zx14 tomorrow and I have to admit im a little scared
Don’t be! They’re super easy to ride and notoriously reliable🏁
Imma zx14 owner too. Have you seen bigfoot in the redwoods
No but I’m still looking lol
Umm, it's pre-2012 so it's not a 14R.
Cheech, is that you?
Absolutely!
Not a 14R!
