Impressive that any car could become “established” in only five years. I don’t think that would happen today.

for the folks that kinda slept on the original car, or felt it was slow or not as luxe as its competitors, cant say nothing now. Lexus handed every other manufacturer their ass in a handbasket with the release of this LS.

Exaclty! This was the game changer. These cars were way ahead of their time. Back when Luxury Cars really stood by that! It wasn’t about gadgets, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, etc. But more about materials, ride, engineering, etc. This mf’er changed the whole game back in the day. They still look good af’ right now.

The redesigned 1995 Lexus LS400 was much less powerful, but much lighter, so it was quicker. 7.3 0-60
The Infiniti Q45 was similarly swift, staying a step ahead of the tank-like Benz
While Mercedes was selling the S-Class in the $90k-100k range, the LS would normally sell in the mid-$50s

Oh actually one thing I would advise is if you don’t get a new screen which is modern, you can now get a cigarette lighter plug in that plugs into your car and phone. This then translates your phone audio into a radio frequency I think? And then just tune into the one it’s set at.
