RIP Paul Young. Saw Mike & the Mechanics in 1996 at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. They were brilliant and Paul Young had such a stage presence as well as an excellent voice. Taken way to early.
Mind you, it was a fairytale tournament for Denmark, who initially never even qualified, yet went on to lift the trophy when Yugoslavia were disqualified by UEFA from entry because of the Balkan War. England did much better in Euro 96 four years later. They should have won not Germany.
@@cupcakefairy87 Germany played the semi in Euro 96 without Klinsmann and Bierhoff, their two regular forwards (Kuntz, the replacement, had scored only four times in 24 caps, and even those in friendlies) and still they beat England - who were also very fortunate to beat Spain on penalties (Spain goal wrongly ruled offside - even Seaman said so - plus the penalty bizarrely not given). So no, England definitely didn't deserve to win the whole thing, in spite of one very good game against Holland (actually Gearmany were not really the best team in the tournament either).
ITV's best football music ever.
Good Song, even better during the Football League highlights show.
awsome theme tunes loved it best theme tunes of all times
My favourite singer of all time , such great vocals
Classic song and true underdog when Denmark beat Germany at Euros 92.
Can this be downloaded anywhere??

Van basten pen miss and sunny Sweden
Good tournament. Sunny Sweden. Danish did well. Holland unlucky
Fucking boss
I thought this was the theme to ITV's USA 🇺🇸 94. And Sega sponsored the show.
Yes and Euro 92
No, that was Gloryland by Daryl Hall & Sounds of Blackness
@@PressureOnJulian thats right
This was used for Euro 92 and ITV’s coverage of the Football League I think up till 1996
The lyrics, please. 😁
You are the No.1? Great song, but as an England fan I have no nostalgia for Euro 92 whatsoever :(

It took place 3 months before I was born. Discovered this tune last week, love it! Also hard to imagine Euros with only 8 teams haha
@@stevelloyd2719 who’s your team then?
@@steveg1725 At least England had a much better showing in 2020, even if they didn't win
