Wish I could say that esp since I hate the other guy in about to mention with great passion (how can anyone like him as a person?) - Jon jones. He is now HW but he’s arguably the UFC goat and he still looks over the LHW division….meaning any LHW champ that follows just won’t get the credit. I think it’s the same with Daniel Cormier since he’s done so much in the ufc yet jones still shadows over him unfortunately.

To be fair Poaton only had 7 fights in mma when he came over from Glory kickboxing and he had 40 fights there (also squeezed in the mma matches) so an experienced striker against guys like Jason Wilnis, Simon Marcus, Vahitov, real elite strikers etc. but it took a little while to adjust to the nuances . Things like the little 4 oz gloves are hella smaller than the 14oz kickboxing gloves he was used to blocking with etc, so shots that normally would get blocked etc. now get through, hits harder etc. His defense with his build and dimensions has always been to back away 1st avoiding most of the shots then pary the rest, set up the counter etc. He also had to learn takedown defense and ways to keep people off him. If he had 1/2 the ground game he does in striking, he would be serious problems all the way around ☝️🗿

So you’re going to discredit a world class kickboxer that took every fight they offered him, beat their MW Golden boy then starches Jiri Projaska in 2 rounds to win another belt. Izzy beat Vettori and Cannonier and Poaton’s TD defense is much better since working with Glover. Your just making assumptions based on bias, Jan wrestlers, got beat , Jiri wrestles, KO’d in less than 2 rounds. You guys sound so Jeolous a retired kickboxer walked in beating 4 Champs in a row while winning 2 belts….. The hate is real and you’ll still be talking bs when Hill becomes the 5th. CZcams schills knocking a world class fighter ☝️🗿

@@mikemosley2948 your acting like that MW golden boy didnt send him running to the weakest division in the sport after getting sent to the spirit world. Its not like poatan even defended his middleweight belt. He beat a guy he had already beat twice and then got knocked tf out and left the division to take a vacant belt in a terrible fight vs Jan, a 50 year old kickboxer btw and not a wrestler. Jiri has a glass jaw and has been koed or rocked in every single fight hes had in the UFC. LHW is weak af but still Hill is his first real test at LHW and if he beats him then he can start building something cause so far hes not done anything worth talking about. If poatan is going to have any sort of reign it starts at UFC 300, if he loses his name wont even show up in a google search 5 years from now.

Kid Conor got no chances what little Frankie Edgar was going to give him problems at featherweight ? He literally styled on the dude that knocked rda out in 20 seconds , and then came back and fought khabib and then Dustin (best resume in the history of lightweight) literally you guys just don’t have any idea about what you’re talking about . And as for Alex how has he been given easy match ups , you understand that ankalaev doesn’t wrestle right he doesn’t have the energy to do it the wrestling only comes out of panic , he beat Yan whose beaten literally every body else in the division I don’t know who would of been a tougher test , and before the fight with jiri every single one of you casuals was saying jiri is going to embarrassing him and it’s because you guys just don’t have any idea about what you’re talking about , what you think Whitaker who couldn’t take down izzy would of been able to take down Alex 😂 kid Alex would of folded Whitaker in half in 30 seconds Robert has never learned to not point his fuckin chin in the sky every time he blitzes into range it’s literally insane that he still does that shit , Alex folded jiri in half because of something you guys don’t seem to be picking up on and it’s not his power it’s his calf kick he doesn’t need to turn over his hips to throw it and it’s punting these dudes lead legs out from underneath him but please besides anakalev tell me whose this fighter that the ufc did such a good job at keeping Alex away from ? And if you say chimaev you don’t get to ever comment your opinion about mma again . Oh and about the Conor thing if Tony fought Conor at any point Conor would of literally seperated his head from his shoulders if you wanna see somebody that was protected by the ufc it was Tony Ferguson who literally got exposed the second he had to actually fight elite talent because he can’t box for shit and cannot wrestle to save his life , granby rolling outta single legs don’t work in the top 10 you actually gotta be strong enough to shrimp or hip bump to get up from the bottom
