Awesome...this is such a unique strat. I know that his pickups are essentially humbuckers, but you just cant put humbuckers in a strat, its against the guitar laws. One thing you capture perfectly is the new string sound, which is how Billy rolls. Now you need an amp, go find yourself a gt40 fender, its what i use. It will make you a better player, its second to none.

I've thought about that too, and have come to the conclusion that he either painted it white first like a primer, or he stripped or sanded it, revealing a less yellowed finish that when contrasted with the dark blue, looks almost white. sorry for the run-on sentence, hope it made sense.
Billy had a few bullet Strats in those days. After the Gish guitar was stolen in '91 he got another yellow bullet Strat and scribbled "I Love My Mom" on the body. He commonly used the "I Love My Mom" guitar live for Geek U.S.A. and Mayonaise on the Siamese tour. In the Mellon Collie era he painted that guitar blue, later putting on the stickers that make it the ghost Strat. They are different guitars, the Gish guitar has a tremolo and the Ghost Strat is a hardtail.
I believe I stumbled upon them on either eBay or Etsy. The same seller also makes Bat Strat and Ruby Strat sticker packs. Mine came in an envelope covered in these cool Russian or Kazakhstani stamps.
And yes, I'm from Russia and few people here know smashing pumpkins, I asked friends a couple of times if they knew who Billy Corgan was and 20 percent only said yes, it's sad somehow

Man you totally made all this up 🤣 Billy had fender build him a guitar back in the ninetees before fender built custom, there were like three colour options to choose from back then and the bare wood 'I Love my mommy' Strat with ze Hendrix headstock was what Billy got for like 6 grand US ☺️ The dark blue 'ghosts say boo' strat isn't a strat 😋 it was a present from family, maybe a girlfriend, it had a really good fender neck and a charvel body, probably custom electronics a well, if you were buying a present for billy and you were sparing no expenses 😋 that's why he could never find a strat that sounded as similar 🫒 IAM AUM AYN 🕎🫒
