How D'Arcy Carden didn't get an Emmy for the episode where she plays Eleanor, Chidi, Jason and Tahani all as Janet, is beyond me

I think Annie Murphy just played Alexis from Schitt’s Creek so well so I think she deserved it but D’arcy did play Janet so well
Eh ... maybe. There are SO MANY actors portraying roles across so many channels and platforms ... the very idea of narrowing it down to one "best performance" is kind of ridiculous.

Janet despite being this "special thing" at the end, I feel she is the only who has the sad ending saying goodbye to all of them and in some point she represents us all. But I love her so much, D'Arcy Carden did an amazing job!
Ik this comment was left a year ago but whatever😂 At first I felt like that too, but she says herself that she experiences time differently. Every time she remembers being with Jason or any of the gang it's like she's living it again, therefore they're always with her, just like rewatching the show for us!
Janet has always been my favorite character, from her nonhuman complexity, to her badass fighting skills.
Also the cactuses hit me on a different level of laughter.

I watched The Good Place because of D'Arcy after seeing her in A League of Their Own and what can I say, I was _not_ disappointed!

Literally finished watching the good place for the 3rd time 2 weeks ago. Janet might also be the best character in the show.
She is, by a country mile. They're all great but she's outstanding as a character and D'Arcy carden absolutely nailed the performance

My fan theory is that Janet is God. She's an immortal omnipresent being with knowledge of all things and the ability to create literally anything out of nothing. Each time she is rebooted she comes back a little more enlightened. We saw that when Derek was rebooted enough times, he became a cosmic entity beyond space and time. Perhaps, when Janet created all of existence, she modified herself so that she may watch over and experience her creation.
Common traits of god is all powerful, omnipotent and unique. Doesn’t really make sense that god would be a servant for everyone else. Plus it’s established there are hundreds of Janets.
Janet more represents an angel for me. Makes the scene of her fighting the demons more realistic and entertaining for me too.
I looove when Janet got rebooted for the first time. Sooo funny.

Of all the Characters endings I think Janet's was the weakest. Effectively continuing into eternity without receiving the rewards for all the growth she had as a "not a girl" throughout the series, kinda understandable but potentially missing the opportunity to have her become more of a person and less of a "Janet" by the end
She formed powerful friendships, fell in love, and got married. She definitely did a lot more than any other Janet. She was absolutely a person by the end.
