- I think we have a new favourite place in The Kimberley!
After exploring all of the waterfalls and gorges of The Gibb River Road we thought we'd seen it all. This time we're up before the sun to try and find a secret billabong that we'd heard about. After a heap of fun water crossings in the troopy we stumbled across this hidden gem. And not another soul in sight. What a spot!

What an adventure! Do you mind giving a bit more info on preparing the troopy for towing the caravan? Safe travels.
Yes it certainly was an unforgettable adventure 😃 The stock Troopy has plenty of grunt for towing the van. But we have upgraded a few things. The suspension has a 2” lift, we have also had the ecu remapped which gives a considerable increase in power and torque, this part wasn’t essential but definitely makes towing so much easier. With that upgrade came a heavy duty clutch which wasn’t cheap. Essential things would be an electric brake controller, an Anderson plug for connecting the van battery management system so we can charge while driving, and also making sure you have the correct trailer connector for lights, indicators etc.. We also had a reverse camera fitted to the back of the van, and also a second one on the car which helps hitching up 👌 Another handy item is a high capacity compressor to inflate those big tyres each time you adventure off the bitumen.
