Hey dude!!! Subbed to you for ER Content, Was interested in DoE when you showed it to us. I've played it a bit when beta testing was out and enjoyed it. Now on release, I've picked it up again! However I find it VERY difficult to play. I lost like 20 games and won 2.
Was wondering if there's anywhere you could point me to getting like fundamentals down? I feel like I miss most of my skills, and when I do land them, am unable to combo. It's frustrating to say the least.
im glad to hear you got into duelists! the game is admittedly quite diverse in skill level already due to the two beta runs from 2023, and all of the testers running around in queue
the discord and getting into some custom games would probably be the easiest place to get outside help for practice! all of the testers and many many new players have been trading ideas and putting a huge commitment to helping each other get better
as for myself, i spent a lot of time in training mode trying to understand what cards and weapons seemed to flow into each other well so that i had a vague idea of what “worked”, and then id ask for some customs with other players to see how it interacted in a live environment
it was quite similar to how i practiced in erbs - lab a route, run it in practice mode, lab a combo that was theoretically optimal, and then hop into a norms game to see if it was practical or what conditions i needed to make it practical, then repeat

im not actually that old! im in my late 20s now, which ive been told is a boomer by gamer age 🫠
this game is pretty rough to play without insane reaction speed, but we can just see the future instead and move reactively so its fine i guess
