The sound of silence after they fired just waiting for the kill, superb
Part of the sound muted carefully to cover pii and/or classified information.
I love these clips.
There's the WOOSH of the hellfire and then silence. You can almost hear the elevator music playing while they're waiting for impact!
you did not hear a woosh, why do you say woosh.
I heard the elevator music playing "Girl from Ipanema".
I Heard the pilot biting his Nails
@@bjornegan6421 it was the same sound when the joke went over your head. Good luck in life
agree
''that's a good missile! Who's a good missile? Who's a good missile? You are! Yes you are! Ye good boï''
Every time I hear the confirmation of the missile XD
jevoulaispasdecompte LMAO!! ..... oh wait, i just watched a guy get blown in two, war is HELL
Duplicator Nah, that was just practice. Nobody harmed in the video.

"That's gonna leave a mark."
It made me want to play Arma 3 (Me dio ganas de Jugar Arma 3)

Good shooting. Lock N Load!
Good shooting its laser guided you can't miss
That is going to leave a mark.
I don't think there will be anything left 😂
Tis but a scratch!
I am glad that Hollywood does not go crazy for absolute realism. This would not make a good movie. And the graphics...oh my. Terrible! A great shot at an amorphous blob.
Don't worry, that will buff right out. Wazing
i guess I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good site to stream newly released movies online?
Good shootin Tex
I lived like 20 minutes from where this happened used to see flares and hear explosions all the time

Used to work on part of that weapon system years ago for the guidance system. Glad to see it works well! The Arsenal of Democracy in action.
you should see what it can do now ;)
this is such an american sounding sentence i love it
Dayummm
Sixteen seconds?!!.....Yep!👍😉
lovely
Direct hit... that hit the roof
it's a fucking missile what is it supposed to do? go through the window and pop them in the forehead?
the roof of a tank is the weakest part, literally designed to hit it there
i proto typed and developed then trained into production ,military components for 10 years. The head of quality of j.a.s.s.i.m. missle project flew up to give me a meda and take pictures with me back to lockheedl for the work i did. I'm known as the king of hyper co-50. the vids i saw of weapon systems was amazing
He said"Damn"!!
Arma 4 lookin real fresh 🥶
Good shot indeed!
Good shot? It's laser guided an idiot couldn't miss
Yes
is it okay to use the coms used in this video for a video project of mine for battlefield chopper montage? ofcourse I'll credit anyone who has been involved and give links to your channel? :)
go for it
+Gung Ho Vids appreciate it! :)
The greatest defence force in the world.
Damn!!!!!
Was that a body that flew out on the right? Sweet shot 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It's a training smart ass
no, its a live fire exercise. just training.
@MisoVFB 100% guilty. Guess I’m observant though. 🤷♂️
Literacy Required: This is a Training Exercise, in Washington state. (that's in the US....) . it's not real combat. ----Read the description at the top. ----
I heard an asian accented person so I assumed they were training Japanese apache pilots, lol
Looked like 1 body went flying right.

@Neckashi 69 My name is Smith & Wesson!
Anybody knows the distance from target in this exercise shooting? i noticed missile fly time is about 15 sec.
should be 12KM out which is max range of the hellfire missle. can be fired from 550M to 12KM
Love it
Jeez! How far away were they?
Seemed to work...
Must be a strange feeling knowing the targets your looking at are about to be blown to smithereens.
Was that the transmission that flew off to the right? It made quite a thud when it hit.
@@christopherschroeder5775 Judging from your response I gather you have experience here so after watching it again I do see limbs flailing. Not that i'm sad or anything. :)
@@stevel.3306 You do realise this was a live fire exercise right ?? If it is an arm, it is only the arm of a dummy !!
Good effect on target
Good estimation for the time to target, took 15 seconds.
I wonder if when they are lasering the target, if the location data is then stored or sent to the bomb or on board guidance system? After that point, I would assume they no longer have to keep the target in sight.
It depends, modern apaches can lock targets and forget about keeping them in sight after firing. But sometimes you want to use the other option in case you have a moving target.
they have to keep the MTADS laser designator pointing until impact for SAL missiles ,these kind of missiles have a laser seeker in the nose and will only guide if someone is lasing the target constantly with the correct PRF codes, otherwise they would most likely miss ,especially in LOAL HI firing modes.
the longbow hellfires (agm-114L) on the other hand have a milimeter wave radar on their noses, they are guided with the APG-78 radar but they become fully active and capable of tracking targets by themselves at terminal stage
Whiteseeker says Hellfire. Good!
Why is the tads constantly drifting down?
Said 16 seconds and it took 14 seconds. Might not seem like a big deal but he only missed the travel time of a hellfire launch to target by 2 seconds. That’s just crazy
Heli calculates itself and show it on HUD
See the flying guy crawling away to the right !
At 2:05 after the bullet hits, you can see a guy flies to the right !
Hope he did have a great flight. And hoped it hurts
@@ramo1484 😂 they sure did deserves that !!!
That was a really really big “bullet” lol.😂
This was a training exercise, read the description [:
@@Hoss-ro5cd shhhhhh... im tryna get likes !!!
I'm glad Japan is America's 21st century ally, Semper Fi.
Only on paper
'dayumn' ... lol 👍👍👍
Yo that body went AIRBORNE!!
read the desc. it's a training exercise in Yakima
washington? are u guys anywhere near evergreen college ?
not even worth wasting a hellfire
I'm curious, if it comes from that helicopter, why does it come almost straight down? Also I've seen others where someone else is controlling their "crosshairs". That common?
The missile does not fly in a straight line towards the target. It starts an upwards curve and then dives down. Better for laser tracking and range as it is in LOAL mode (lock on after launch).
Oh my
"Time of flight, 16 seconds", how far was it to the target?
Probably a little over 8k is my guess.
Goalllll
Hooah !
OK to use a still image from this for a presentation?
You can use the whole video if you want... it's Public Domain. Good luck with your project.
Always nice to meet a fellow huffman !
2:07 was that a- was that super man
Anon 37294729 nope was an animal
So the 286 thumbs down as of 4/30/2020 why did you even watch this then?
The title was pretty self explanatory.
Boom wasn’t big enough...
Here from r/WarThunder
You can see one of them fly out the window and spin
02.09......that body flying towards the right direction of the picture..
Who know..that body became mutan or hero
at 2:08, i think its a human body flown away.
Jesus just fire thing!
See the body flying out at 2:14
Okey this is an exercise. 2:08 I thought it was a human brown away into the right direction.
Seems like there is a hell of a lot of chitter chatter that has to go on before you get a "permission to fire".
how far the torso fly...
Can you imagine those dudes inside? One moment having tea and a bite then shredded / vaporized before you can flinch.
This is a training exercise. The pilot is teaching his gunner how to use hellfire missiles. There's no people there.
@@fuckjewtube69 yea except the dude being catapulted 200 meters to the right there
@@balto2455 you must really want that piece of debris to be a person 😂
FLIR just stands for Forward Looking Infra-Red, not Infra-Red Radar.
porque lo veo a 60 fps?
👍🏻
🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You’ll have to excuse my ignorance but what’s the purpose of FLIR? Its never very clear.
No, you’re not tally target. You’re capture target.
well
we all know every branch of the military
they all have 1 thing in common
blowing shit up
Folks that a body flying in the air. Semper FI
It's a training exercise.
Baghdad airport...
I could understand every word of the Jietai. Love it when the Americans cheer and Japanese go wide eyed. In Korea they cheer with us.
16 seconds! How far away were they?
5100m
Hasan Özdoğan wow, 5 Kms. I'm Canadian, I’m fluent in both systems, as all US military as well.
ThinKMetric. Thanks!
@@shatner99 they say 5 thousand and 1 hundred at begining of video
Hasan Özdoğan thanks sir!
@@shatner99 yw
14 seconds, that's got to be 4/5 miles.
Wow, how far out was he? That missile had a 4 second lag time to impact.
Hellfire missiles on Mq9 reapers have 30 second time of flights most of the time
The hellfire goes up after been activated, then it comes down to the lasered target.
4 seconds?? I just counted 15s
J H Also says "16 second time of flight"
I love fucking with people.
you been thunder struck
Fuck it's always so terrifying how accurate the weapons systems on these things are
Especially when fired at civvies
You know you really learned something in dcs when you start mumbling stuff that would actually make sense in the video such as:
WASing hellfire switching to lobl missile set to normal lasing target destroyed de-slaving
This is Ac 130 right?
You think they hear the woosh and go I wonder what that was? Lmao
The cross hairs or dead on he hit the fucking man with the missile
With todays tech, isn´t it possible to get audio with better quality than they had in 1943??
Better audio in fckin' flying tank, with rotor and engine noises? are u fckin' kiddin'? audio quality isn't important in this case, only thing that is important here is they can clearly understand each other.
@@crnigruja2220 No, im not fckin` kiddn`! I work in heavy industry with noises that would make you deaf in a split second without proper gear and we have waaaay better audio communication. Why do we have that? Because it is important to avoid mistakes because of poor audio. So no, it´s no joke...
@@J1I9M7M4Y So, what's the problem in understanding words in Apache comunication system in this video? u can clearly understand every word, and that's recorded, how do u know how they hear it in earphones? maybe isn't the same like in this recorded stuff, but even this is ok in my opinion, u compare heavy industry with army/war tehnology :S Army and police also uses new walkie talkies wich have sound almost the same like those from 20 years ago, they are have enough sound quality to understand voice, 'cmon, they not listen to music with radio communication devices to have better sound quality, if there need for better sound quality, i'm sure they will be used better devices ;D.
@@crnigruja2220 Well, my opinion is to have the best technology avaible.. Good enough is not good enough!
Did you have to blur out the laser ranger and indicators…. Come on
It’s just not the same without seeing chunks of dead former terrorists flying through the air.
bcask61
I think and I’m not a 100 but possibly a body flying on the right??
Whatever it is, it’s....... d-e-d dead.
This sounds like a training op.
your powers of observation are astounding, especially as the video commentary says: "U.S. AH-64E Apache helicopters and Japanese AH-64D Apache helicopters conduct a joint live-fire exercise"
@@John01GM40 At least they got it right. If you want a laugh, you should see the multitudes of posts below commenting on the "dead body" that goes flying to the right in the video. Good grief...🤨

Ah OOh Ah!!!
Was that a bad guy that got flung about 50 or 75 yards to the right when the missile hit the target???? Lmao!!!
