It's very devastating, we do what we can to preserve these beautiful fish and very rarely something like this happens to us. Ya that happens to me to expect it was salt water fish and we forgot to clean the drain out and we just put it in it had anti freeze and killed all the fish

i appreciate that, i've raised these little guys from just out of the egg, some of the koi and goldfish even hatched with me... my beautiful pets didn't deserve this and i was literally building a larger enclosure for them with a planted system to help keep them alive if something like this happened while i was out of town during a hurricane altho i have several generators. this was by far my most worst mistake and there aren't enough tears for these babies. my heart is broken. thank you and everyone else i've seen with me along for the ride. i need an in-ground all natural pond to stop this from happening again. i need to make a change.

for someone who truly "Cared", that green/yellow ass water sure shows he cared enough to clean their pool tank whatever that was
he doesnt care about these fish at all. he just abuses them for views. you can tell he treats them poorly when there is only a foot of water for these big ass fish and you cant even see through an inch of it.

Super sad for your loss, however with the size of those koi alone, that pond was definitely too small for that many fish, so with a pump going out, the pond in direct sun. Along with that many large fish. The PH, Ammonia and Nitrate levels were bound to sky rocket and cause a disaster like this.

Hey bro I know its a tough pill to swallow and you dont wanna even think about building something in that spot but this is what you do. Its what you love. Its also part of what your subs live to watch. Take some time off and come back and build it better then the one you just tore down. On another note I had the same thing happen to me about 15 years ago and what I did after probably saved me from doing it again. What I did was got a bell and when ever I would be taking plugs out of outlets when I was done I would ring the bell to signify that I am done and all the plugs are back in the outlets. It may sound stupid but after a few times you never forget the bell. It kept my fish safe until the day I backed it all up. Get yourself a bell and give it a try man. Keep your head up bro. We all make mistakes it part of being human.
Maybe if you had the fish in there natural habitat in the first place they would of never been in that situation how would you feel if they had you in a box instead of you being free l

@@danielmarkle8823 who knows how long for sure, in cold water fish can take more then 8 days before they start to float but since it was so hot I'd say 2 days could do the job
The heat could have sped the decomposition up. He did say it was crazy hot in Florida at the time this happened. I could be wrong but I know that heat speeds decomp up for land creatures so

Too crowded to begin with for an outdoor pond. No aerator or shade. Just a recipe for this with little preventive measures.
Sorry for the loss. Something similar happened to me before. My fish tank heater used the same outlet as my printer. During one winter I unplugged the heater to print something and forgot to plug it back. Next morning was pure sadness, 3 generations of Jack Dempseys gone in a night :(

Dang man we lost fish at the same time in July. Not close to your loss but I had goldfish ranging from 3-6 years old. I introduced 3 new baby goldfish to the tank without a quarantine. Parasites took over the tank and killed everyone except my pleco. I truly know the pain you experienced. As fish hobbyists, we love our babies.
