THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formiddable Vought backing.

Homelander killed a loyal ally for the sake of a father who hates his guts.
Strongest man, weakest heart.
It was because the man was a close and trusted friend and he figured it might be mercy over Noir getting killed be Soldier Boy
@@DTheCritical lol, yeah not even close.
Homelander didn't kill Noir out of mercy. He did it because Noir never told him about his father, and because Homelander wanted it as a peace gesture to Soldier Boy.
If it was out of mercy, Homelander could have blown Noir's brains out in seconds with his heat vision, or decapitated him with little effort.
@@DTheCriticalIt was because noir held him back from the thing he craves the most. Genuine love and family
I just imagine what if he got strength to hold back. And maybe some arc started where Homelander starts to evolve in something better.
I believe that Noir did consider Homelander to be a friend, Homelander can tell if people are being fake due to his ability to read body language (notably heart rates), meaning that Homelander likely would have been able to tell that Noir was always being real and honest with him up until that point.
That said, I think the reason Noir hid the fact he knew Soldier Boy was Homelander's dad was because he wanted to protect Homelander from SB and knew how toxic and abusive SB was.
Great job censoring the word fuck but showing the guy's organs spilling out. Protection from words is so important
Sigma ☝️
As they say, or infact homelander himself, "sticks and stones won't break my bones. But words will"
It's bc youtube makes them
Censorship is almost always stupid. Some idiot older ppl who haven't the slightest clue what actually harms kid's minds, making these decisions. & said decisions are almost always wrong. Censorship also seems to be hypocritical as heck, as one moment they Censor a scratch and another, well, this video here.
@@bananajesus667you don’t think the guts spilling everywhere isn’t going to demonetize the video?
I daresay Noir was the only thing he ever had that you could classify as a friend
not really, Noir did not consider him a friend. Homelander liked a lot of people but none of them liked him back, like Stilwel and Maeve the first just used him and the second one hated him.
@@AlanJ1993 no noir did consider him as a friend you can see It in the Boys: diabolical even in some scene in the Boys live action
He was the one who'd always been there, the one who never talked back, never questioned orders...
The only one who literally couldn't tell anyone anything Homelander said or did.
"Need" "wants" "feels like"
All the same word really
Nope a need go to work but dont want
Need only highlights importance in social norms
Read a dictionary.
Black Noir was Homelander’s shadow and conscience which he eliminated on his own sins before he resorted to talking to himself in the mirror.
Yeah, I feel like HL is going to deeply regret this choice
@@hidan407With the new Noir he already does lol
Is there a chance that the original Noir could return as a ghost to haunt Homelander?
When Homelander tells Noir that he can read his expressions etc and moves closer towards him, notice how Noir starts breathing heavy indicating that he’s anxious. Nice little detail there.
I think that was Just homelander
@@gollumbeutlin5646Yeah same
Notice how nobody cares because they clearly didn't care about the actual comics and just did their own stupid shit with this now lame ass show
@@4Lonzo2 If you want the comic book, then read the comic book.

He didn’t need to.
Yes he did, for his ego.
He had too for them to follow the comics a little bit lol
Did Black Noir kill him in comic or someone else. Wonder why they took this path or did i miss a comic.
@MJJ07 in the comic Noir did kill Homelander but in the comic version Noir has a very different background story from this Noir so the series will take a different approach when it comes to killing Homelander
@@gnm7858 Thanks for the explanation cause I was confused when Noir died
I feel like if Noir had had a chance, he would’ve grabbed another paper and wrote “To Protect You”
I think that would've hurt his ego
He would've said something like "Do I look like I need protection?" and bust his intestines out anyways. He made up his mind the second he entered the room to kill Noir.
Homelander: "Why didn't you tell me?"
Black Noir: "well first, you haven't asked, and second i don't speak"
duuuuh xD
Kind of hard to argue against that
I am sure glad they censored that curse word.
And not the brutal entrail ripping.
Gore is way harder for youtube to demonetize
I was showing my kid this video of homelander disemboweling black noir, so I am very glad you censored out the curse words to make this video family friendly!
That's not why they do it.

When you realize how much help Noir coukd have provided if HL didnt kill him
New noir funny as shi
At least he had his little friends with him when he died, not alone.
Killing him off was a huge mistake in my opinion.
It was one of the best characters on the show.
When homelander says "he lied to me" I feel like he was talking about Jonah Vogelbaum.
A deranged psychopath that when he gets his feelings hurt or anything he resorts to killing no matter who it is. So sad that Noir died here & def didn't deserve this but ig it was better than Soldier Boy getting to him
I would say it’s worse than soldier boy getting him
It's even sadder when you think about Black Noir having the mental capabilities of a 7 year old after his fight with soldier boy
At least he doesn't have to deal with homelander any more in heaven.
He ain’t going to heaven

At 1:20 I was like oh $hit, homelander could always read what noir was thinking.
Because he has x ray vision.
@@DeltaTesla-ph9yh yup.
How do you like the new black noir ?
@@ryanmussell739 if he were home lander's clone, homelander would know. So it can't be HL's clone.
So he kills someone that can’t even talk! Killing your own kind😂 What a nut job!
That’s Homelander
He's sharpening wrong.
You only go against the blade lightly one time per side to straighten and deburr
You sharpen WITH the edge....
You're not wrong. But he was a psychopath with severe mental disorders so I think he gets a pass.
I do respect that when Homelander told him a thousand times wasn't enough, he kept going like,
"Two thousand times then!"
1:56 and homelander does his RDJ for a second in there
😂😂😂
Did you know?
Why didn't you tell me
"I LITERALLY CAN'T TALK"
did i have a stroke? or did the mf woodland creatures from south park show up
No
Why the fuck did my eyes water when I saw Homelander sad???? tf is wrong with me...
Tragic villain. He's a villain who's the result of greed and power.
Because you knew someone was going to pay for making him sad.
gay
Because Anthony Starr is a national treasure
Well, in all due respect, he just found out Black Noir used to work with Soldier boy. Homelander, as psychotic as he is, felt betrayed by his closest teammate in this moment… rip B.N. 😞😢
I honestly found the last part with the cartoons pretty well done.
In Season 5 Homelander has a box of keepsakes that are important to him and among them you can see Black Noir’s blade. The new Black Noir doesn’t have a sword.
You mean season 4?
It feels weird. Homelander never truly had a problem with noir up till this moment.
The score was so accurate. The tension in the strings when he asks if BN lied, then the soft piano when he nods, its just so sorrofully gorgeous. As if HL half expected him to lie, he's so flawed that he'd already decided on killing BN regardless of what he answered, but the pain actually hits him this time because for once in his life he had a respectable person (in his eyes) tell him the truth.
This was the only moment Homelander was truly sad.
He actually didn’t . I’m pretty sure noir was the most loyal to homelander
I like cats
Me too
I have one
My GF has one 👀
I don't.
no u dont i know you for life u say u like cat but u didnt even know what cat meant
And the sad thing is, it's clear why Noir kept the truth hidden from Homelander: To protect Homelander from his father.
From a man Noir only knew as a drug addicted narcissist who beat the tar out of anyone who even looked at him funny. Ironically, the Russian torture mellowed SB out into a semi-functional person. Before that he was a monster so unpredictable that Vought cut their losses as soon as they could. Which is saying something when you consider that not only was SB their biggest ticket, but the shit they put up with from even tiny specks like Bluehawk.
When you realize black noir was his father figure
just because he didn't tell you about solider boy? that's ridiculous. he doesn't tell anyone anything; that's basically his superpower
This is a neat inversion from the comic
Would’ve been a deep cut if Homelander punched Noir’s jaw off
Homelander in Gen V: What kind of animal are you? Do you like attacking your own kind
Meanwhile Homelander to Black Noir....
why is he sharpening the sword like that bros gonna have an uneven edge
Homelander, I think, actually regrets this.
thats not how you sharp that sword...
Noir is not going to heaven lmao
He's a step closer to becoming pure like marble 😂
This is soooooo different than in the comics.
Its gonna be Okay, black noir is supposed to be this way so the next person who replaces him *spoiler alert* will be a clone. But which clone? Homelander or Noir?
Watch Gen V...
;) gonna be a nice plot twist when it gets to that point
I don’t know how they would pull off a clone. Tv homelander can see pretty well through walls he’d know who it is underneath the mask. And if they made the mask so he couldn’t he would be curious to find out who it is. It also doesn’t fit in the story, since comic homelanders clones actions made homelander crazier, the boys homelander is already the way he is now before a clone came in the picture.
Its not gonna be like in comics. Theyve fucked it up already
I wouldn't be surprised if they just decided Black Noir didn't die. It's the kind of crap they'd pull.
"No one's ever REALLY gone..."
Black Noir was the closest person Homelander had to a friend and older brother....and THAT'S why he keeps Noir around with a different actor, and ESPECIALLY why he can't stand to hear the new Noir speak.
Isn’t Black Noir supposed to be stronger and even be able to withstand Homelander’s rays?
It isn't following 1 to 1 with the comics, and that's probably a good thing tbh... It takes the ideas of the comic and takes them slightly more seriously
Black Noir is very strong, quite a bit stronger than Kimiko, but still weak compared to Homelander or Soldier Boy.
Sometimes I wish the show would end like the comic, Black Noir a clone of homelander but stronger and crazier.
That’s NOT the way you sharp a knife…🤔
No he doesn’t 😭😭😭
Wait, so Black Noir on this show isn’t Homelander’s clone that kills him at the end of the show?
his worst mistake is killing Noir
Black Noir was the closest thing to a friend to Homelander, and yet he killed him for a father who despised him.
K like soldier boy abused him so yeah makes sence he didn't tell him
Just imagine having no context at all when 2:44 happens
I have 0 context. Lmao. Why is he seeing Disney creatures in his last breath 💀
@@pumpkin7446 he always sees them, he has brain damage
One of the worst scenes in the show. All the character building and cartoon back story all pissed away and thrown to the wolves over a bullshit shock moment. Just piss writing
I'm pretty sure that's not how that happens in the comic....
Such a wasted plot, all to subvert the audience’s expectations.. Black Noir ended up being right and the only one who was truly on Homelander’s side.. it would have can great to see Black noir vs Soilder boy instead of Maeve vs Homelander..
What a dissapointing death, but i supose it is for the better.
I black noir can actually put up a fight and just didn't
Do the Boys know noir is dead? I can't remember. Could make for a rather comedic moment.
Sometimes I feel like they dropping the ball with Homelander he be all over the place killing allies what great villan does that
(Spoilers) Now that we know that Homelander’s dad is Soilder Boy, I’m guessing Noir is still alive and will go after Soilder Boy and Homelander if they really decide to team up since Soilder Boy made him Mute and Homelander tried to finish him!
Noir probably saved homelander from a crap father. I mean the lab was bad, real bad, but soldier boy would have screwed up his life all the same
This show gets rid of the best characters
I was actually pissed when they (writers etc) killed him. Original Black Noir was such a interesting character.
2:08 I can't help but laugh at homelander when he's upset haha he's a nobody really just a bully boy he ain't got nothing on Omni man
I am getting a feeling he is coming back to face homelander and the new black noir.
“He didn’t tell me I had a terrible father out there, must end his life now” 🙄 the fuck is this logic?
How black noir suppose to end homelander if he's dead? Is this a different story or what?
Duh
It would have been better if they followed the comics and Noir was the Homelander Clone created to eliminate Homelander should he ever get too far out of control.
Then when Homelander tries to kill him he finds he cant and the audience is left with a WTF moment.
people complaining about watching a clip of something you havent watched when thats the most common thing to do
Much as I love that the new guy is an idiotic method actor, I still do miss good old Earving. He didn't deserve to go out like that.
Instead of underlining it, maybe he should have written “Pedo Bad", it would have made it even clearer.
lol in the comics Black Noir kills Homelander & rips his jaw out ... they could bring him back by giving him a suit that micro doses him w/ V-24
ya Black Noir is definitely not going to heaven
Homelander is a psycho
Im still mad Noir got killed off. Best character in the show.
So is he perma dead or can he heal it off like kiko
Permadead it was a hit from homelander I dont even know if kimiko could heal from it
I hate that they killed him off. I really liked black noir.
Cant noir heal?? How he die
Homelander is such a little pissbaby 😂
Riveting performance as always from black noir.
Biggest mistake of the series honestly
Homelander sucks!
I cant get into this show
Then they ruined it by bringing Noir back with a knockoff wanna be actor. Kripke sucks. His writing always has sucked and it always will suck.
Probably the only person he genuinely felt bad about killing.
What's with the creepy cartoon weirdos?
its black noirs hallucinations
Schizophrenia.
We think it's the result of when Noir got his head bashed in.
When HL was just a child, Black Noir was just this kid that wanted to make it big. He wanted to be the next Eddie Murphy.
The plan to subdue soldier boy resulted in Noir getting his face burned, head bashed in and some of his brain matter taken out.
I don't think he ever truly recovered from that. Personally I think his power is to basically survive anything but it doesn't fully heal him like how Kimikos heals her instantly.
Anyways. The little cartoon critters is how he deals with everything now.
Maybe watch the show
@@FightFantasy exactly lmao
I cant bring myself to feel bad for noir with what he did to soldier boy
Soldier Boy deserved it. He was an abusive monster. Black Noir is bad but still better than that monster. Soldier Boy deserved worse actually.
@YurinanAcquiline no he didn't bro, soldier boy is the lesser of all the evils in the show. noir is lame for betraying his leader in the first place. SB didn't abuse anyone, he was trying to keep his pathetic team in line. Never heard of discipline? And homelander likes to defend rapists like the deep, and is one himself, so yeah SB is the better supe out of them all.
@@jaydonthomas427 can’t tell if satire or not
@@HatredInTheFlesh nope. 100% serious. How can anyone feel bad for noir?
@@jaydonthomas427lol you really are just either slow, or think edgy contrarianism makes you seem smart. The show makes it clear as day that the heroes don’t actually save anyone/do anything. They’re just entertainers. As much as I like SB, even a middle schooler could explain that his abusiveness was a result of his father’s disapproval. As the other guy said, I really hope you’re trolling cause the show and its messages are painfully simple
