I'm a long time semi-pro musician that's been gigging at nightclubs ever since 1989 & I grew up listening to all the 70's R & B, American Bandstand & Soul Train era music when it was still fresh. And until now I've never heard anyone with vocal characteristics that closely match Chaka Kahn. The odds are just unreal that anyone would have comparable vocal chords, chest cavity & sinus passages where the sonic difference is almost indistinguishable. But girl that was so close it's uncanny. On top of that, it takes incredible talent to pull it off. You all did a great job, but I gotta say hat's off to that singer for being blessed with such a memorable & spectacular voice. Just fantastic. Bien Fait!!!!
You guys are amazing , love the singers tone and her low register is wow, baseline is so consistent with the drummer , love the tones on the keys ! What’s an amazing band did not miss a guitarist one bit keep rocking ! Doesn’t feel like this was recorded a decade ago !
The Bass line was the Kickstarter! I have heard a lot of Bass players, May Patchaparong being one of my faves. I have discovered another great Bassist in Sebi Friebe! All musicians and vocals were excellent. Happy New Year from Toronto!

I don't understand the complaints about the vocalist. I think she is fantastic! The only explanation I have is that the people who complain have listen a lot to this song before hearing it with FLR project. I went the other way and heard this first, and I like it very much! Stephanie´s voice has a different characteristic than Chaka Khan, but there is nothing wrong with the performance.

There are lots of different versions of Chaka’s hit in the internet. There are lots of good versions of it. But this is by far the best!
