Honestly... What Henrik did at 0:35- 0:38 is ridiculous. The contrast between that booming low A and the high pitched harmonic he wickedly sneaks in is absolutely genius.

These young Swedish men continue to amaze with their approach to music, and the implementation of incredible grooves that come so smoothly for them. I just listened to this song over and over again while driving along a narrow winding road through the mountains, surrounded by trees changing into their fall colors, and overlooking one of my favorite lakes. It was downright spiritual.

years old (now I am 55). I've played with my saxophones everything from jazz to
fusion, acid jazz, R&B, soul, new age, new wave, rock, pop, bossa, latin,
latin jazz, funky, country, dance 80 etc. and I've listened to millions of artists,
bands, singers etc. that’s why I just want to let you know that your talent is
beyond imagination and the approach to music at the moment I would say it’s
unique all over the world. I haven't listened to anything but your music for
about two weeks. You drive me crazy! "I have a dream" I would love to
play even only one song with you. The emotions, the vibrations that I feel when
I listen the set of sounds, rhythmic and harmonic combinations into your music
and your voice Jonah, are incredible (a mix of M. Jackson and S. Wonder). You make
me feel so happy to live and as well you give me the right energy to be strong
and do better and better even after a serious illness. I love you so much guys
and please never stop making music this way. I can't wait to come and listen to

I came across these guys by accident when I found their Samsung Horizon song. I have been mesmerized by their creativity and arrangements from cover music to their original pieces. I am 66 and truly love the way Dirty Loops uses such a mixture of styles within each song they play.
These guys take one piece of music , then they rebuilt every single component in such a way that the final result is BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL ONE !
OK I just ran across these guys today and I'm an instant FAN... totally hooked....and I hear Stevie in this beautiful vocalist voice!!! He grew up singing with Stevie Wonder!!!??? OH HE JUST MUST HAVE!!! SUCH AN AMAZING VOICE!!! GUYS PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELVES SO WE CAN LISTEN TO YOU FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!!! OH WOULDN'T THAT BE A WONDERFUL MIRACLE!!?!! MUCH LOVE!!!!

Solo, you know what, I had to respond to your comment because I just finished watching another video of there's and I was thinking the exact same thing about him. Like really, I wish somehow they could participate in a tribute to Stevie Wonder while Stevie is still alive, because these guys would really do Stevie's genius some justice, because they are so good!

What I always hear a lot of in Jonah's solos is Russell Ferrante of the Yellowjackets. Suspect he has listened to him a lot and also uses a lot of the same kit.

@@EthanArco FAR FROM THAT. Due to musical frustration they took a hiatus and did their open personal work. The most quiet one was the drummer, Aaron. Didn't hear much of anything from him. They have a new album coming out. Their first new video on May 20th would be a single from the upcoming DIRTY LOOPS album.
The lead singer is INCREDIBLE. He sounds like a mixture of Bryan McKnight, Stevie Wonder, and Stokley Williams from Mint Condition.
But mostly MJ
Stokely! Don't hear much MJ as Chris Heath mentioned, but definitely Brian and Stevie and some Stokely.

omg - getting sucked into the Dirty Loops universe is so unique and addictive because... they transcend Pop and Jazz into another Fusion realm where it meets FONK and it´s very hard to fiind a way out. I am an old bloke and I love the less catchy music of the past too... I gotta get out of that juicy DL prison some day ;-)

That keyboard solo reminded me of Metheny and his synth guitar.

The dynamics applied to the keyboard with the very well achieved sound is quite interesting. Pat plays a GR300 synth with a GR 303 guitar controller. Probably one of the few synths that follows natural dynamics since it's not midi.
Musically it sounds great in that context too, it's the best "Pat" sound I've ever heard from so many enthusiastic guitar players. It is also necessary to consider that although he plays a keyboard he is a virtuoso as a musician.
