  • @je6639
    @je6639 Před 3 lety +1

    Question: At 16:20 in the video, when you did the test fit WITHOUT gaskets, was there interference? I like the idea of that fit check / inspection. I think the port flanges should sit flush without the gaskets (right?) during that test fit, otherwise you could have a leak.

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety

      That was my idea/thought as well. So in hind site I used way to much playdo. I should have made a tiny little strip like a plasti gauge. When I did the test fit with no gaskets it seemed like it was slightly hitting on the pump but its so hard to tell as with no gaskets the manifold slides around.

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety

      The gaskets i think ever so slightly raise the front and rear of the manifold since the bolts are what limit the compression. When I test fit with gaskets it seemed to sit good with no interference but the gaskets are not compressed at that point.

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Před 3 lety

      Use fuel line 3/8 id and 1/2 od. Which I should have just said 1/2 fuel line. If you go to an autoparts store and ask for 1/2 fuel line they should get you the right stuff.
