No joke they might actually be the best team in baseball right now. Were it not for their disastrous start to the season, they would probably win the division.
I don’t think I would call 500 baseball up until when the hot streak started, June 16, “atrocious”. And I feel the Athletics will win the wildcard game (and technically they can still win the division also if the Astros go on a little losing streak) and also beat whoever they face in the ALDS. All I can hope for though is us making a good playoff run. I’m trying to erase the memory of the 2014 WC game from my head still so the A’s making some noise when no one thought ANYTHING of us would be pretty cool :)

Went to this game with my wife, oldest daughter and her son (grandson) and a niece and nephew. After the 7th inning they were ready to leave. I told them the meat is coming up for the Astros in the 8th and we can leave after they bat. They said OOOOOKKKK. They were going crazy when the Astros were scoring their runs. After the 8th I said OK we can leave. They told me I was crazy and wanted to stay to watch the end.
