Had a 2019 UX. Loved it. Upgraded to a 2021 Hybrid UX. Outstanding! Fit, finish, ride, handling are awesome. The Lexus experience is the best, period. Will be adding another Lexus to our family later this year (NX or RX). We like the base or slightly upgraded models, so I imagine the loaded models are even better than what we’ve experienced.

I’ve had mine for almost a week and I’m in LOVE!! I will never go with another brand or style of vehicle. If I ever do upgrade, it will be to another UX. The ride is smooth and quiet, the fuel efficiency is outstanding and the luxury feel and vibe of it is everything!!

My 2019 UX 250h is the perfect car for me. I don't need to carry passengers very often and when I do, it's for short distances. The cargo space is at least adequate, if not moreso (especially when I put the back seats down). The fuel efficiency...THAT's the bomb! I average 40 mpg in combined driving. I get more on the hwy. I follow the tips from a CZcams on maximizing your hybrid fuel economy and following those tips, I even get better milage with my SC 430, too! LOVE this car.

I am based in Toronto. I bought my 2023 UX250H Luxury edition 6weeks ago. Loved this car. I have driven over 1800KM so far, and fuel consumption is 5L per 100KM. 80% of Toronto city and 20% of Highway. The handling is amazing, similar to BMW x3, which I used to own. The Lexus Safety System is big plus, I tried the radar cruise control when I was on High way, it was kind of auto pilot experience. UX can adjust the distance between the cars ahead. Every time of driving, it is an enjoyment. The only drawback is small booth space. But it is ok for me, as I have the Mini Van home if I want to load the big stuff.

I test drove the 2021 Lexus UX 250h hybrid and came away impressed with the drivability and the overall quality of the cabin. Even the control buttons and vent knobs felt quality to the touch. Not a powerful car by any means but more than sufficient to get around in the city and suburbs. I was considering the new NX hybrid but after reading some comments on the build quality (issues with paint work consistency and door seam gaps) from a new NX hybrid owner, I think I will take a closer look at the Toyota Venza hybrid which is made in Toyota City and hence might share similar manufacturing quality DNA as the Toyota Fukuoka made UX. The only 2 things I am not too thrill with the Venza is the capacitive touch controls (lack of buttons, knobs, switches) and 19inch tires (I prefer 18inch or smaller tires for a quieter ride quality) on the XLE and Limited trims.

I’m not sure of the future direction for this company. Like many, they have become as concerned or perhaps even more passionate about social matters than truly building quality manufacturered vehicles. Not being critical to be negative, because I love my Toyota’s as does all my family members. Just seems to me that car manufacturing has become second goal.

Unique to the Lexus Redline paint color, the clear coat includes a "self-healing" feature. Exposure to heat (i.e., sitting in the sun) creates a reaction which can reduce the appearance of fine scratches. This could explain the increased thickness of the paint.

David, I think it is curious that you posted your UX review within a week of AMD posting his. Perceptions of style and 'feel' are subjective but I have always been disappointed with the UX powertrain which fails to impart a luxurious level of performance commensurate with the price. UX mpg is equivalent to a NX or RAV4 Hybrid so I wonder why Lexus did not use the 2.5 Hybrid system that would have offered the same fuel efficiency while providing a substantial boost in power. Interestingly, AMD also highlighted the deficiency in back seat space and storage capacity. Though it is by no means a marvel of packaging efficiency, the UX's poor cousin Corolla Cross seems to yield much more interior space from the same platform. Finally, I want to give a shout out to your camera operator

I wasn't even ware that we were both doing the UX review about the same time! Anyhow, the powertrain is definitely not ideal on the UX but it's more than sufficient for an entry level Lexus. I like the UX because it doesn’t have those weird door handles the NX has, nor does it have all of the tech liabilities like the app tracking.
I think I might get this car, but I wish it had a bigger fuel tank.

I've had several different UXs to drive as courtesy cars (including the UX300e), and I agree with all your points, but all of them had one shocking design flaw. In all the UX cars I drove, whenever listening to music fairly loud with the bass turned up, there's a horrible rattle/vibration coming from around the arm rests on both the front doors. Even the dealership acknowledged this to be a serious design flaw, but told me they don't get enough complaints to warrant reporting back to Lexus HQ. Utterly shocking design flaw in what is otherwise a great little car, I have no idea how Lexus could release a car with such a problem, maybe a sign of the times... Boot space and infotainment are really poor as well and must improve with the next refresh.

Also, that 80's touch pad interface and The Grille would have be looking elsewhere.
