What a work of art. It's amazing what people are capable of doing, using natural products.

I am in the beginning stages of building my own log cabin. I have a site picked out and cleared. My next stage is to cut my logs. I will be documenting my build and when finished next fall I will post as a video response. I am going to find this video very helpful through out the next year. Awsome vid. 5 Stars !!!

If you have an idea now on how big your shed should be, you should more or less have found a location for it. If you do, take measurement of how much space you can take and work on that. You should also be sure that the location is safe and has a good foundation.

The Montana School of Log Building has a bulls-eye scriber that marks with a Sharpie pen. It is easier to see the line and it always remains accurate...no shortening pencil problem,

Apart from this video, not much remains, sorry.. memory says it was rather laborious. I would probably prefer square corners on the next build

    Thank You,

I would assume they measure the widest gap and use that throughout the log.

what's that with the saw? Absolutly no need for that!
You should fasten your logs with truck belts of 5ton and crush the error.
In my opion. picture here ww w.whi tehorse.be/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/whitehorse-3-110630.jpg
That way you also markt the upper wood to the lower wood and an any air gap.
