Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about the new Twinmotion Path Tracing Capabilities in the comments below! :)
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce® RTX™ 3070 8GB GDDR6, is this good? or need 16gb?
Very practical and helpful thank you!
Changing exposure settings make the sky pretty washed out! Instead of adjusting the exposure, when using path tracing, it is much better to adjust the sun intensity and the Ambient. You can see the "default" settings of the sun and ambient settings by simply toggle path tracing on and off - note that you need to be within the lighting settings
I've been waiting SOOOOO long for this in TM. I could never get reflection probes to look right.
Excited to finally try TM for interior renders now!
It makes a MASSIVE difference on interior renders for sure!
Nice video, Although Instead of live rendering I want to see the rendered image difference between old and new, and the time difference between the two of them
thank you sir
Thanks, that exposure and save view tricks really helped
Awesome - glad it helped!
@@TheRenderingEssentials Notice the sun intensity gets set to 0 in the pathtracer? Default is 25. Seems to brighten it up without having to adjust exposure.
Hi Justin, love your video as always. I've tried path tracer after watching your video, but still haven't figured it out what I missed because my render sceen is totally black, even I have put in some lights and the sceen is by a facade...what did I do wrong?
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Hi awesome videos! I’m trying to have fog and sun rays on my path tracer renders…but how can i do this? Path tracer seems it won’t visualize those two options.. :( P.S. i’ve got by the way an RTX3090
What is the GPU you used when you made this video?
Hey.. nice video again. Btw what the difference in render time between normal mode and path tracing mode for video
normal = fast - path tracer = slightly less than eternity
Me gastaría saber si mi tarjeta grafica permite renderizar con el path tracing, es una gtx 1050 y no me permite dar clic en el botón por compatibilidad.
What specs do you have for your GPU/CPU?
Can we use decals with path tracing?
Great video. In your description link, would you still recommend that MSI laptop for this software now, or would you bump up the graphics card.
Generally yes, though probably an updated version. I like the MSI laptops, but I'm currently transitioning to one of the WS series (the WS66). Alternatively, I think the MSI GS series would work fine as well - just pay attention to that graphics card as that will be really important
@@TheRenderingEssentials thanks, Twinmotion left out mac users with the path trace command so I’m looking at a PC but have no clue where to start and I don’t really want to spend $3k on something for a marginal improvement on renders, if I can get a cheap one with a smoking graphics card for $2k I might consider it
how can i import 3ds max or anima animated people in twinmotion with animation?
When i try to render with path tracer, error message appears which is about “out of memory of gpu”. something like that. My gpu is rx 6750 xt 12 gb. Do u have any settings about it?
my GTX 1650 has direct 12 8 gb ram and supports Ray Tracing but this card doesnt sport the RT cores that provide hardware acceleration for ray-tracing calculations :(
Thank you for the video. I am having tremendous issues with the Path Tracer. The result is very dark and cold (similar as you described 4:55). I can modify the White balance (9800K, seriously?) and Exposure (2.0) but when I turn the Path Tracer off (for navigation and adjustments) then obvious the whole scene is completely blown out. Why are the settings sooo completely different when the Render is on/off?
I wish I had a good answer to this one, because I find it frustrating as well - at the moment I have no idea what's causing the difference between the two
Trying this with a 1080ti, which I appreciate is barely compatible at this stage. Its not a good time.
The path tracer is a game changer for sure.
I see the path tracer does not do very well with water though or am I doing something wrong?
im definitely having the same issue, the water comes out very flat
i've tried everything i could to prevent that but nothing seems to work
im here to hear the introo ......huuuu whatsapp guyaassss ............ i love it
You've come to the right place!
Is the Path Tracer not working in the presentation mode? Or is it a limitation for the free version?
Path Tracing is for rendering individual images and maybe some rendered animation. It not something you would even WANT to try to use in presentation mode because it's not real time
Wish I could use that path tracing
Graphics card not quite enough? It is a pretty hardware intensive tool
@@TheRenderingEssentials same , my Rx 580 not supported :((( sad , i need a new GPU but man it's impossible bro get one right now ahhhh
I got a GTX 1650, DIRECTX 12, Updated drivers by GeForce Experience, but the option of swiching to DIRECTX 12 still not showing up. Do you know anithing that I can do to make thing work? Great video btw.
If you look at the screengrab of the system requirements, it says it needs to be DXR (which is DX12 exclusive) compatible. Meaning, only 20 and 30-series Nvidia cards and 6000 AMD cards are compatible. Which sucks, considering how hard it is to get one right now.
@@Diegorskysp17 I think that older versions work as well, at least I've seen it working on youtube
@@3100mateus Hmmm... will look it up to see if I find anything...
@@Diegorskysp17 czcams.com/video/PR4EDlqc4pY/video.html
Is it possible to use path tracer also in presenter?
Well no since that's a real-time product and path tracer isn't real-time
can I use it in a MacBook Pro with m1 16core??
At this time the Path Tracer is unsupported in Mac OS.
i have NVIDIA rtx 2060 but i dont use path tracing
Hi, Justin, quick question sir: I have a 2021 Dell Gaming Laptop with the AMD Raezon graphics/Alienware card. (also upgraded my ram to 32 gb) When I tried to use Path Tracing I received a message saying “Your machine doesn’t support this function” but it should, correct? I just changed my graphics card settings to “highest performance” hoping that will change it. Do I have the right specs to use Path Tracer?
Well it sounds like you skipped over the part of the video where I turned on Direct X 12
@@TheRenderingEssentials Listening is fundamental, no? lol my bad-That helped, Thanks!
Hi Justin, I can't use Path Tracing, do you know what this issue might be, this is the message I get. 'Pathtracer is not supported on your platform'.....
Sounds like your hardware might not support it?
@@TheRenderingEssentials My graphics card is GTX 1050 Ti, what do you think?
@@katharinefoley it needs to be a raytracing supporting graphics card...like rtx
Why won’t anyone say it’s ray tracing, is that what path tracing is or no.
Both are actually different things
Path tracing is slow but physically accurate but ray tracing is very fast but it's not really physically accurate ..
if decals with Path tracing ON are not workin, its useless ...
FIRST
:)
It looks so bad even with path-tracing. Twinmotion has a long long way to go.
