I completely agree with your conclusions Stuart. Since updating to V2.01 the A1 is definitely performing better than it did, which was great anyway. I have had no issues and love the improved features. I was in Fiji last week and was able to get very sharp images of a Flame Dance show at night with shutter speeds as low as 1/5 of a second handheld. It’s still an amazing camera.

Thank you for the video. On 2.02 When viewing images in playback mode there is a icon overlay that is virtually telling you if you press the playback button again while you're in that mode you can go back to shooting. Um... It's a professional camera, why does one need an distracting icon to tell them that they can go back to shooting by pressing a playback button when one can just press the shutter button. Is there any way to get rid of that distracting icon? Sometimes it covers up one of my subjects eyes. And it really kills the vibe when showing clients photos you have taken.
just push display button so you only see the photo. i do not get any issues at all
The A1 loves pigeons , whilst waiting for the local urban peregrines the flying feral pigeons give me something to do . Hit rate is 👌

@@sjm.photos Beauty with the Sony's having that recall capability . Whilst out for my walks I'm usually set for static or slow subjects in poor light . I have AEL button set for recall with fast shutter, wide AF ,H+ FPS etc for those quick flight action shots. It's so convenient having that fast recall set option touch of a button.
Really good photo cam, obviously the best on the market 👍🏻 i am filmmaker and are very happy with my FX6 and the smaller ZVE1 😅 Sony fanboy too 😂

Hi, i was wondering of you have updated to version 2.02 since this? If you have are there any issues or performance changes? I'm having issues with the 200-600 not being recognised occasionally and 2.02 is supposed to fix this

i updated the A1 to 2.02 and the 200-600 to v3 and it works spot on no issues

@@sjm.photos - THANK YOU - that would be amazing! I did try saving my old setting on a card to use for re-install … it didn’t work. What’s happening … I go into Button Customize … I can select the button I want to change, but ‘am unable to do so … ‘can’t figure it out;)

Yep if you consider the a1 has been out for 3 years 2 years longer than the z8 even the new canon r1 isnt much cop 😂
